This study was aimed to determine the effect of parental emotional coaching on the improvement of the parenting style and parents’ acceptances towards their deaf children. The population of this study was parents who have deaf children at Special Primary School B 'X' Surabaya. There were 9 subjects involved in this study. This study employed an experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using parenting style and parent’s acceptance scales and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result shows that the value of Z = -2,668 with the asymp value of sig = 0.008 (p <0.05). It can be concluded from the result that parental emotional coaching training increases positive parenting style and parents’ acceptances towards their deaf children. Competition in the current era of globalization requires individuals to be more adaptive in their careers. Career adaptability is one of the constructs related to career psychology that focuses on helping individuals to monitor career development during their lifetime. This research was conducted on 440 final year college students who were at least in the seventh semester of their studies at university. This study assumes that career decision self-efficacy a mediator for the relation between future work self and career adaptability. The results show that future work self has a strong relationship with career adaptability. The relationship is proved to be mediated partially by career decision self-efficacy. There are still other possible variables that can fully explain the relationship of future work self and career adaptability to final years college students.Key words: Career adaptability, future work self, career decision self-efficacy, college students

Smartphone is the most widely used device to access internet. Adolescents tend to access internet excessively that make them to be more dependent and addicted to it. Internet addiction can be influenced by both internal and external factors and one of them is quality of parent-adolescent relation. The purpose of this study is to know the correlation between quality of parent-adolescent relationship and internet addiction. Population of this study was high school students in Surakarta who use smartphone. The total number of 354 subjects was recruited using multistage cluster random sampling by determining the selected classrooms from the selected cluster. The instruments used to collect data were Internet Addiction Scale (α = 0,860), Quality of Father-Adolescent Relationship Scale (α = 0,815), and Quality of Mother-Adolescent Relationship Scale (α = 0,815). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result shows that there is a significant negative correlation between quality of parent-adolescent relationship and internet addiction with Fcalculated > Ftable (8,174 > 3,03) and r = -0,211 in the significant value of p <0,05. Partially, the significancy of correlation between quality of relationship and internet addiction is only proved for mother-adolescent relationship.. The performance of civil servants is important to be measured by each regional government in Indonesia. Thus, the Regional Government in District X in East Java has been renewing the performance appraisal method for civil servants in its educational unit by using the e-performance application. The e-performance is used to monitor the suitability of the working hours of each civil servant. The successful use of e-performance will be determined by the role of supervisors. Based on this fact, this study examined the influence of time management and leader-member exchange on the performance of civil servants in District X through the implementation of e-performance system. Hypothesizes of this study were tested using multiple regression analysis. Data were collected using time management and leader-member exchange scales. A total of 285 civil servants in District X which consist of 38.6% men and 61.4% women were involved in this study. The results show that there is positive effect of time management and leader-member exchange on the performance of participants. This study concludes that a positive time management and leader-member exchange among participants will lead to their better performances.

This study aims to examine the role of job insecurity towards innovative work behavior with job autonomy as a moderator. The concept of the three variables were tested using the theoretical concepts of job demand and job control. In the condition of "active job", individuals can produce ideas and innovations in responding to work conditions. Previous studies show that active jobs can be obtained when there is a high interaction between high job demand and job control. Based on these studies it can be assumed that job insecurity (job demand) and job autonomy (job control) will influence innovative work behavior. This study used a quantitative approach by using SEM-PLS to analyze data. A total of 194 participants in a manufacturing industry, primarily from its production units, were involved in this study. The results show that job insecurity has a negative significant effect on innovative work behavior while job autonomy has a positive significant effect on the variable. The moderation test of job autonomy on the effect of job insecurity on innovative work behavior show no significant result. The strict operational standard procedure in the production unit is assumed as one of the factors that makes job autonomy does not play a role in reducing the negative influence of job insecurity on innovative work behavior.

Value is a fundamental variable that underlies human life. Value serves as a guidance for someone to take an action. In the field of education, achievement value orientation can guide a students to act accordingly in order to gain academic achievements. The aim of this study was toexamine how achievement value serve as a moderator bewtween grit and academic achievement relations. Data were collected using online surveys from 363 undergraduate students of University of Indonesia and were analyzed using multiple regression. The results show that achievement value is significantly proved as a moderator of the relationship between grit and academic achievement. Students who believe in a greater achievement value shows grittier behavior in the context of study and greater effort in facing challenges in college. The grittier the students, the higher academic achievementsthey achieve.

Research on the personality and its correlation to happiness found that personality is a strong predictor of happiness. Further studies also reveal that high self-esteem is found to be positively correlated with happiness. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between personality and happiness and specifically to examine how the correlation of both is mediated by self-esteem. This study hypothesises that personality correlates with happiness, and self-esteem mediate the correlation of personality with happiness. 118 participants of this study were adolescents to late adulthood in the ages ranged from 12 to 60 years. Data collected using Big Five inventory, personal self-esteem scale and mental health continuum-short form. The results show that the Big Five personality is correlated with both self-esteem and happiness. The result also proves that self-esteem mediates the relationship between the Big Five personality and the happiness.Key words: big five personality, self-esteem, happiness Abstract: Penelitian sebelumnya tentang kepribadian dan kebahagiaan menemukan bahwa kepribadian berkorelasi dengan kebahagiaan dan merupakan prediktor yang kuat terhadap kebahagiaan. Penelitian selanjutnya juga menemukan bahwa bahwa harga diri yang tinggi berkorelasi positif dengan kebahagiaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara kepribadian dan kebahagiaan dan secara khusus ingin menguji bagaimana korelasi keduanya dengan dimediasi dengan harga diri. This study was conducted to examine the role of emotion-focused coping as mediator of the relationship between personality traits and the level of problematic internet use. A total of 174 participants in the age range 18-29 (M = 23.1, SD = 2.7) have completed online questionnaires. The instruments used were Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2), Big Five Inventory 44, and Brief COPE. The findings of this study show that emotional-focused coping did not work as a mediator in the three personality trait relationships (neuroticism, extraversion, & openness) with problematic internet use. Nevertheless, this study found that the direction of the relationship between the three variables has aligned with previous theories and findings. Allegations about the possibility of no significance are discussed.Key words: Emotional-focused coping, personality traits, problematic internet useAbstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peran mediasi coping berfokus emosi pada hubungan trait kepribadian dan tingkat penggunaan internet bermasalah. Sebanyak 174 orang partisipan dengan rentang usia 18-29 tahun (M = 23,1, SD = 2,7) telah mengisi kuesioner secara online. Terdapat tiga alat ukur untuk mengukur ketiga variabel, yakni Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2), Big Five Inventory 44, dan Brief COPE. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa coping berfokus emosi tidak dapat bekerja sebagai mediator dalam hubungan tiga trait kepribadian (neuroticism, extraversion, dan openness) dengan penggunaan internet bermasalah. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa arah hubungan antara ketiga variabel telah sejalan dengan teori dan temuan sebelumnya. Nevertheless, this study found that the direction of the relationship between the three variables has aligned with previous theories and findings. Sebanyak 174 orang partisipan dengan rentang usia 18-29 tahun (M = 23,1, SD = 2,7) telah mengisi kuesioner secara online. Terdapat tiga alat ukur untuk mengukur ketiga variabel, yakni Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale 2 (GPIUS2), Big Five Inventory 44, dan Brief COPE. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa coping berfokus emosi tidak dapat bekerja sebagai mediator dalam hubungan tiga trait kepribadian (neuroticism, extraversion, dan openness) dengan penggunaan internet bermasalah. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa arah hubungan antara ketiga variabel telah sejalan dengan teori dan temuan sebelumnya. Stevedoring activities at container terminals make it one of the most dangerous workplace for employees because they have to deal with variety of high-risk conditions as well as high-risk equipments. Therefore it is not suprising that container terminals have high occupational accidents rate. Furthermore, several statistical reports also indicate that most maritime accidents are attributable to human error. The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of safety climate and big-five personality on employee safety performance. Safety climate and big five personality are considered as two factors that influence employee safety performance. Therefore strong positive safety climate in organization will be able improve employee safety performance and reduce accidents. This study was conducted to 148 employees in a container terminal by using simple random sampling as the sampling technique. Multiple regression technique was used to examine the effect of safety climate and big-five personality on employee safety performance. The result revealed that safety climate and big-five personality positively affect employee safety performance.Key words: Safety climate, big five personality, safety performanceAbstrak: Aktivitas bongkar muat pada terminal peti kemas menjadikannya sebagai salah satu tempat kerja yang paling berbahaya karena karyawan harus menghadapi beragam aktivitas yang beresiko tinggi dan peralatan kerja yang berbahaya. Maka dari itu, bukan suatu hal yang mengejutkan bahwa terminal peti kemas memiliki tingkat kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi. Lebih jauh lagi, sejumlah data statistik juga menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas kecelakaan kerja pada sektor industri maritim berkaitan dengan kesalahan manusia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh iklim keselamatan kerja dan big five personality terhadap perilaku keselamatan karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 148 karyawan di salah satu terminal peti kemas dengan menggunakan simple random sampling sebagai teknik sampling. Analisis regresi berganda digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh antara iklim keselamatan kerja dan big five personality terhadap perilaku keselamatan karyawan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa iklim keselamatan kerja dan big five personality secara positif berpengaruh pada perilaku keselamatan karyawan.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional maturity, self-control, and aggressive behavior among members of the Mobile Brigade Corps 2 Battalion A Pioneer of Mobile Brigade Corps Unit of the Regional Police in East Java. The total number of participants involved in this study was 110. Data collected using emotional maturity, self control, and aggressive behavior scales. Multiple reggression was used to analyze the data. The result shows that correlation value R = is 0.195 and F-value = 9,341 with significance value (p) of 0.000 (p <0.05). The result indicates that there is a significant relationship between emotional maturity, self control, and aggressive behavior of members of Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in handling riots. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi berganda (multiple regression). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai korelasi R = 0,195 dan F-value = 9,341 dengan nilai signifikansi (p) 0,000 (p <0,05). Dapat disimpulkan dari hasil analisis data ini bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kematangan emosi dan kontrol diri dengan perilaku agresif anggota Brimob dalam menangani kerusuhan. Dengan demikian, hipotesis utama penelitian ini dapat diterima.
