Online learning is common techniques that used by several higher educations to improve the quality of learning, which combines face to face learning and online learning. This research discussed the effective blended learning in higher education specifically is intended to measure and evaluate blended learning implemented at one of private university in Jakarta and also do study in several private universities about the implementation of e-learning and face to face learning. The purpose of this research is evaluating blended learning with the SLOAN C model research to improve the quality of blended learning itself. The primary data collected during this research included interviews and questionnaires with total 97 respondents, consist of 50 respondents as lecturers and 47 respondents as students. Data analyzed is using multiple regression models with SPSS Amos Version 22. This research was tested 4 (four) hypotheses, and the result is rejected the H1 (learning effectiveness) and accepted H2 (institutional commitment), H3 (User Satisfaction), and H4 (facility and access). According to the result, conclusion for effective blended learning is starting from the instiutional commitment as foundation, otherwise the facility and access should be improved and appropriate with the learning conditions and the satisfaction of user will be increased and the learning will be more effective.

The nature of critical business information is changing rapidly and is no longer limited to structured text or numeric data. Unstructured content such as images, audio, video, PDF, Word documents and other types are becoming more and more common in various fields. Database is an area that has found extensive use of images and text in past few years. This paper present a model for storing unstructured data such as document in database using BasicFile and SecureFile method within Oracle 12c Database. The result, SecureFiles method is more efficient in using storage and faster then BasicFiles method.

Computer programming courses are major contributor to non-passing rates and teaching the subject is significantly challenging. MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), a web-based LMS providing online courses, is a new popular learning media expected to facilitate better teaching-learning process for improving learning outcomes. Unfortunately, most of the current MOOCs are intended only for non-vocational (non-practical) learning and have set aside research on MOOC for computer programming courses. This study employed systematic literature review (SLR) method to summarize and review available functionalities as the core in designing a proposed MOOC architecture model. The proposed model covers application layers (user, system, and data layers) and adopts the theories of cognitive, constructive, and social situated learning. The proposed model is expected to provide guidance for institutions to develop their own MOOC and utilize it in blended learning processes to improve the outcome in computer programming courses.

Nowadays is probably every one of us registered at various social networks. These social networks are gathering information about us but only few of them provide a service for checking what data are being held about us. This paper describes creating semantic layer for such a tool; deals with Facebook Graph API, Semantic Web technology, OWL and describes the Facebook Ontology: a formal framework handling Facebook profile-related information including profile's edges like albums, videos, events, etc. The paper also shows how to deploy this ontology on triple store and how to query it for requested knowledge.

E-commerce is being an important aspect in business that changes the business model from traditional market to electronic market. Empowered by internet technology to connect and treat customer with satisfactory make e-commerce was selected by company to support their business. This study aimed to support the effectiveness and efficiency of employee performance in the Provincial Education Office (Dinas Pendidikan) regarding teacher placements in elementary school, middle school, and high school. Three provinces are chosen as samples: Bali, Yogyakarta, and DKI Jakarta. The employee performance assessment was conducted using criteria and weight calculation regarding teacher's content knowledge, educational background, grade, rank, age, and participation in teacher trainings. The analysis method used to assess teacher performance in this study was Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Expert Choice software. The result of this analysis was used to design the DSS-Based Teacher Management Model.

Currently, the advanced web-based information technology in research and education field are expanding rapidly. But in some activities, such as the management of research, the utilization is still not felt. So the implementation process within the scope of research management at universities is not easy and tends to be slow. The purpose of this study is to determine what features that are needed for the research grants management system and its relationship with the research university roadmap. Research and design that are done in this study focus on designing a model of management information systems research grants. The study was conducted by interviewing and distributing questionnaires to several researchers and managers of research grants in Jakarta, and comparing with literature review. The study also used Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with Unified Modeling Language notation to design the model. The result of this research is a model of management information systems research grants, which are designed to support operational activities, including the submission, assessment, monitoring, final reporting, and reporting to management and following the university research roadmap as the main contribution of this research.

One of factors to determine success in educational is the ability of the lecturer to deliver teaching material and assess students according to their personalities. This becomes a problem if the lecturer does not have ability to assess students' personalities. Therefore, the issue mentioned above makes this causes the lecturers to generalize teaching methods for all students. Another issue occurs is about academic counselors, they also often provide motivation or suggestion that does not suit to the student's personality. This paper presents a design of web-based application to obtain student's personality profile using DISC assessment method. The DISC method considered to be simple, need less time to assess, and enable to adequate information for lecturer and academic counselor in compact way for a non-psychological lecturer. The system was tested in information technology school, where almost all lecturers and academic counselors do not have the ability to assess student's personality. The application provides online assessment for students, map students' personality and provide feedback for lecturers and counselors.

Knowledge loss is a growing area of interest as it is a crucial phenomenon in organizations such as the knowledge intensive organization. To counter knowledge loss, the strategy of knowledge retention can be applied to retain critical knowledge. The lack of such strategies may affect the organizational performance. In the effort to strategize knowledge retention, this paper presents a review on relevant knowledge retention frameworks in the search of a relevant, applicable and complete knowledge retention framework that can be applied in knowledge intensive organization. In the review, the technology, people and process (TPP) framework was used to analyze the knowledge retention frameworks. The results of the study highlighted the applicable TPP components of the reviewed frameworks which can be applied to strategize knowledge retention in knowledge intensive organization.
