The issue of research interest is the question of intercategorical interaction of the functional-semantic category of taxis and “distant” functional-semantic categories of conditionality, causality, concessivity, consecutiveness, instrumentality and finality. The poly-categorical semantic complexes distinguished in functional grammar can be constituted as “close” and “non-close” or “far from each other” functional-semantic categories that have a field structure. The above-mentioned functional-semantic categories or fields are in relation to intercategory inclusion. The phenomenon of intercategorical inclusion is an integrating factor in the constitution of poly-categorical taxis semantic syncret subcomplexes that actualize secondary-taxis categorical situations of simultaneity in statements with monotaxis and polytaxis prepositions of instrumental, causal, concessive, consecutive, conditional and final semantics. Due to the intercategorical inclusion of the taxis category with "non-close" functional-semantic categories or fields with an adverbial-predicative core, we distinguish such semantic syncret-subcomplexes of simultaneity as: (1) instrumental-taxis; (2) causal taxis; (3) conditional taxis; (3) concessive taxis; (4) consecutive taxis; (5) final taxis. The phenomenon of intercategorical inclusion determines the actualization of various secondary-taxis categorical situations of simultaneity (instrumental-taxis, causal-taxis, concessive-taxis, concessive-taxis, final-taxis), including interconnected polycategorical-taxis situations in semantic representing the above-mentioned taxis semantic syncret subcomplexes.

The object of the contrastive analysis in this article is the group of Lezgin, Russian and English phraseological (somatic) units with the component кьил/голова/head. The analysis aims at identifying the universal and specific issues in their contentits characteristic semantic fields, correlation of the general phraseological value with the core component, structural and grammatical features. In the process of the study we have used the method of comparative analysis of Lezgin, Russian and English phraseological units selected by us from foreign and domestic lexicographic sources. As the result of the analysis we have found that there was a similarity in structure, imagery and stylistic coloration of phraseological units. The peculiar characteristics of the studied languages in phraseological units were carried out. This work can serve as a material for further research in the field of phraseology whether the question of education plays an important role in the life of society.

The article is devoted to the definition of the concept symbols, graphic tools, graphs, tables, diagrams and other elements of the graphic metalanguage of linguistics as a means of non-verbal expression of linguistic concepts. The purpose of the article is to describe the general characteristics of the of Russian metalanguage as a means of language research and to determine the general patterns of functioning of non-verbal units of the metalanguage and symbols above all. A metalanguage is a language intended and used to describe a natural language and including general scientific vocabulary, terms, alphabetic, numeric, spatial and other symbols, tables, diagrams, etc. The formation of a linduistic symbols is carried out, as a rule, on the basis of the language material and other sciences metalanguages material in existence. As bearers of specific information, symbols are important means of fixing, storing and developing professional and scientific knowledge. Information expressed by symbols in a linguistic text is a non-verbally expressed generalization which accumulates specialized knowledge and is used in professional and scholarly pursuits. Conducted study suggests that terms, as a verbal manifestation of special concepts, and graphic symbols, as a non-verbal manifestation of special concepts, are a key tool for scientific activity including the field of linguistic research.

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of hidden meaning in a media text. The research is based on a conventional understanding of focusing and a new approach to meaningful information. The author sees the correlation between the categories of this approach - prototype, relevance and pertinence - and the categories of the sentence functional cleaving - theme, rema, focus and topic. The material of the research was both news texts and examples of the individual style in media discourse. The author used methods of interpretation, implying the interpretation of semantic units with a figurative meaning, and pragmatic analysis, which makes it possible to identify the functional spectrum of the communicative elements. Their pragmatic potential was analyzed. The study showed that pertinent focus becomes an element of the individual style, as well as humorous genres.

The features of linguistic conceptualization and representation of traditional confessional and cultural values in the linguocultural space of various societies are analyzed from ethnocultural, cognitive, socio-mental and linguo-confessional positions; identifies and characterizes constant and newest transformations and modifications of the denotative-semantic content of the most important concepts in the Russian and European mentality in the modern conditions of globalization. The theoretical significance lies in the presentation of a sharp socio-cultural "gap" in the definition of some confessional-conditioned phenomena in the Russian and Western cultural-historical traditions; in the representation of the mental and semantic transformation of some confessional value concepts in the Western linguocultural space while preserving, at the same time, the inviolability of the most important categorical and semantic features of the nominations of traditional axiological dominants in Russian culture as the foundations of the life of Russian society and Russian statehood as a whole. It is concluded that the linguistic representation of confessional-conditioned cultural values and their consolidation in the confessional memory of generations is a special mechanism for preserving the ethnocultural and spiritual identity of the people. It is shown that the so-called. “Cultural” globalization as an extralinguistic factor is currently in Western societies a process of gradual destruction of national, traditional and confessional values, which results in a significant change in semantics, denotative image and semantic code in the interpretation of some linguistic phenomena that represent the national axiological fund. The practical value of the presented material and observations lies in the possibility of its application in the practice of teaching university courses in language theory, ethnolinguistics, sociolinguistics, cultural linguistics, linguoconfessionology and intercultural communication.

The aim of the paper is to identify and describe the main structural types of the lexical meanings of the autonomous words. These types are distinguished according to the modes of their inner organization, but not in dependence upon the character of signified objects. It has been established that there exist as a minimum six semantic types of the autonomous words: descriptive, comparative, deictic, anaphoric, criterial-evaluative and relational.

This article is devoted to the study of "aggressive" metaphors in the French media. The main concept of the work is to study the conceptual metaphors proposed by the American linguists J. Lakoff, M. Johnson and the Russian linguist, A.P. Chudinov using the theoretical material of cognitive linguistics and stylistics. From the point of view of the theory the key issues are the consideration of the concept of metaphor in the framework of stylistics and cognitive linguistics, the study of the structure of conceptual metaphors: conceptual domains, the principles of metaphorical transfer, frame-slot mechanisms, stylistic functions, the study of the role of this type of metaphor in the journalistic text, the study of their stable classification and basic stylistic characteristics. The analysis of the structure of conceptual metaphors is necessary for understanding the process of metaphorization and for studying the principles of forming a negative opinion of the author. All the studied examples relate to certain metaphorical concepts that express an "aggressive" metaphor. The authors also emphasize the mechanisms of speech aggression in metaphor. The research is based on the material of political articles devoted to the «yellow vests movement in France, taken from the well-known weekly magazines "Le Monde" and "Le Point".
