This article reveals the peculiarities of emotional reflection in Akzhan Nurmanov’s novel “The death of Kulan”. The authors study the role and significance of the emotional reflection in the history of kazakh language on the basis of achievements of world literary criticism. The subject of the study is the artistry of the work, where the experience of impressions and emotional reactions of the protagonist comes to the fore. Fundamental in understanding the poetics of the novel is the feeling of experiences. This paper demonstrates that the evaluation of events in the novel occurs through the system of value coordinates of the hero. It allows us to understand the authors’ concept of personality: what it can or should be. The emotional reflection is in the conflict of the work through the consciousness of Kulan to accept the painful suffering and death with the hero. World literary criticism has developed a new approach to the analysis of the art work. This approach helps to reread the novel where the aesthetic attitude to the hero and his feelings comes to the fore. The object of the artistic image is a personality, its inner world and actions with the logic of the development of life.

This article discusses one of the artistic approaches in literature – the dream motif. The study showed that this motif, which has a special place in mythology, was widely used by Kazakh writers. It is proved that the inclusion of dreams in the structure of a work of art is a serious problem in literary criticism. In this article, the works of Kazakh and English writers were analyzed. The mystical elements used in them, in particular the dream motif, are compared and analyzed. Moreover, the explanation of the essence of dreams in mythology and folklore is given. The form of the article includes prose works written in Kazakh and English languages. In particular, the issue of disclosure of the author's idea through the motif of a dream was considered. It turned out that this problem was used for a deeper description of the inner world of the hero. They put their heroes in an unexpected position, introducing mystical motives into their literary works. Thereby trying to reveal their true character. The authors of the article wanted to show that the increasing appeal of writers to mystical motives is due to the increasing interest of a person in the unreal world and the desire to determine what is beyond his mind.

Present-day achievements of the structural direction in syntax still do not cover all aspects of the category of modality. The category of modality is described only in terms of objective modality, relation to real or unreal actions. However, the grammatical features of subjective modality used in speech activity require a more detailed study. The authors of the article define a complex, large-scale pattern of the category of modality, which has its own structure, a method of self-derivation, systematized in inter-phrase links or within the text. With this regard, the research paper analyzes the possibilities of functional grammar, ways of creating modal shades of assumption, prediction, taking into account the internal connection of the units in it. It has been proved that the manifestations of the modal meaning of the assumption at the sentence level are structures that are differentiated and classified depending on the purpose of the statement: they are used in conjunction depending on the functions of declarative and interrogative sentences, form a functional-semantic field of assumption. Methods for compiling predictive - suppositional values are based on the semantic meaning of the verb "bolzhau" (expect, foresee, predict) as part of narrative, interrogative, imperative sentences formed with the help of suffixes -ar, -er and modal words "bolar", "shygar", "zharar ”, service words “siyaqty”, “tarizdі”and with the help of contextual semantics.

This article analyzes the ways of achieving science and knowledge based on the works of the great Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayuly and reveals that the poet is a philosopher who perfectly possessed knowledge and science and spread knowledge and science to his native land. Abay Kunanbayuly stressed that science and knowledge should not just be literate, but set a specific goal for him and outlined two main goals in the study of knowledge and science. One of them is that the basic concept of Abay's works is necessary in order to be a "perfect person", the other is to serve the independence of the Kazakhs through knowledge and science. The conclusions concerning science and education presented in the works of Abay Kunanbayuly are studied in comparison with the fact that at present issues that were not included in the agenda remain relevant. In the works of Abay Kunanbayuly, a thesaurus analysis of words related to education and science is carried out, statistical data on their meanings and frequency of use are given. In conclusion, it should be noted that the issues of knowledge and science occupy a special place in the works of Abay Kunanbayuly, which reflect national identity, world, life, life, worldview, character, soul, religion, mentality, language, spirit.

The article deals with the use and repetition of sounds in the works included in the collection of U. Esdaulet "Gumyr zhas". A word in versification is not only an element of a sentence, designed to complement or decorate a lyrical image. The word itself, and more specifically, the letters and sounds of which it is composed, can form a picture or its details in a poem. U. Esdaulet often uses this property of speech, using a number of phonetic devices in his works, such as anaphora, epiphora, various refrains, assonance and alliteration. The latter is one of the most common ways to create a special sound pattern of U. Esdaulet's speech. Analyzing the frequency of words in the poet’s works, their specificity, there was an attempt to reveal their artistic essence. Through a poetic text, he added to the treasury of the national language, creating new colors, new phrases brought a new poetic spirit. Demonstratinga high poetic skill through accessible words and phrases, he created new epithets, thereby singing the high aesthetics of the language. Choosing the most suitable means of language in the development of artistic poetry, he creates a unique work of art. Here the poet can skillfully choose the possibility of changing the aesthetic meaning of words. Thus, the poet creates original artistic images.

The purpose of the research work is to identify, through the scientific study of genre and poetic trends, the artistic identity, the ideological and thematic atmosphere of modern Kazakh drama, to show the features of poetics and the problems of stylistic affiliation, to differentiate the novelty and continuity of traditions, to identify the author's point of view, signs of his individual stylistic differences and common thematic features in dramatic works reflecting Semipalatinsk tragedy. The genre of drama in Kazakh literature in the period after the country's entry into the mainstream of independence is characterized by a peculiar direction of development, artistic research, genre patterns and style field. In the works of playwrights of this period, the changes in the life of the country under the auspices of independence, historical continuity in our spiritual world, vivid responses caused by free consciousness, tense character are clearly expressed, the author's position in the transfer of the drama of the social environment is clearly marked, and a breakthrough in the image of the primordial essence of things is also noticeable. The article examines the trends in the development of Kazakh dramaturgy of the period of independence, the specifics of the reflection of the Semipalatinsk tragedy in dramatic works, the novelty of plays and the continuity of traditions, ideological and meaningful searches, language, style, problems, shows the modern directions of development and artistic integrity of dramaturgy. It is obvious that the cardinal changes taking place in the Kazakh society, which acquired sovereignty and moved to a market economy accompanied by globalization, brought social spiritual life to a new level and significantly influenced the formation of an open human consciousness. In the first years of independence, dramatic works were born in the Kazakh artistic word, freed from the political restrictions of the era of totalitarian system and man-made «socialist realism», which quickly took root, laid new themes and plots in accordance with the requirements of the post-perestroika time. This trend is also a natural consequence of the spirit of the times, because Kazakh drama is the most important component of fiction and urban national spirituality, which is developing in the conditions of continuity of world artistic thought and has reached significant heights.

This article explores the principles of artistic organization of A. Chekhov's text and their influence on the creative work of the famous Kazakh writer G. Musrepov. The authors of the article identify the main features of the principles of the artistic organization of the text of A. Chekhov’s creative works. Additionally, the main features of the principles of the artistic organization of the text, inherent in the works of G. Musrepov are considered. The article provides a semantic and comparative analysis of the works of the two writers, on the basis of which the authors identify the main “parallels” in the works of writers. The authors, referring to the notion of artistic organization of the text, examine such categories as the main features of the writers' artistic world, plot composition of their works, the use of lexical and semantic, graphic and expressive means, as well as the specificity of spatial and temporal organization of artistic texts. The mentioned categories make up the internal form of the artistic whole of the work. The research methodology is based on the comparative and comparative-typological, as well as semantic methods of research. The authors of the article touch upon the problem of reception of A. Chekhov's work in Kazakhstan. To date little research has been devoted to this topic, so this problem requires comprehensive study and analysis. Reception of creative work from the point of view of bearers of another culture, in comparison with the national literature of Kazakhstan, will highlight and explore new facets of the Russian writer's work. The uniqueness of this study lies in a systematic analysis of the principles of artistic organization of the texts of A. Chekhov and G. Musrepov. The results obtained will be used in the framework of the PhD thesis “Reception of A. Chekhov's Creativity in Kazakhstan”.

Intercultural relations, innovative methods in the teaching process and the integration of the content of education in the context of modern globalization place a great burden on the methodology of teaching disciplines, determining the personal development potential of academic disciplines. Due to the fact that this article deals with the scientific and methodological basis for the use of active reading methods in teaching fiction, we will be based on the subjective interactions of the teacher and the student. In order to increase the reading abilities and increase the interest of students in reading works of fiction, the best works of Kazakh literature reflecting the breath of the era have been selected and included in the program of Kazakh literature. Here we offer two types of works necessary for studying. Firstly, works that have a textbook meaning. Secondly, the works that are listed in the extracurricular reading list. But at the request of the teacher, students are not only not limited to these artistic texts, but also encouraged to find new works that have upbringing and educational significance. Consequently, for the development of artistic taste and reading abilities of students, a subject teacher should direct, continuously direct extracurricular reading and during daily classes, consider methods and techniques for its implementation, and make a broadband plan. It provides for the gradual expansion, systematic development of reading a work of fiction by students, a gradual transition from simple to complex, systematization and further deepening of literary and cultural knowledge obtained by students under the program, the development of reading abilities. Therefore, the article pays attention to the methodological level of teaching fiction in literature lessons and comprehensively examines the problem of developing the reading abilities of students in the teaching process.

The radical changes taking place in modern Kazakh society have contributed to the fact that the spiritual quest of our people has brought the development of literary thought to a new level. In the post-Soviet period, having freed itself from the political restrictions of socialist realism, the Kazakh artistic word did not immediately find its way. This was the reason for the appearance of such an opinion among the literary community that «Kazakh literature was experiencing stagnation, could not follow the rapid pace of development of modernity». However, in all kinds of literature, especially in the epic, where the genre content was delayed, works gradually began to be created that reveal new themes and plots that meet the requirements of the new time. The article examines the ideological, thematic and artistic originality of modern Kazakh prose based on the work of such writers as T. Shapai, K. Tyumenbai, A. Altay. The authors of the article draw attention to the fact that in the prose works written over the past twenty years, the writers not only used the accumulated creative traditions of national literature, but also reflected the artistic trends of world literature. The artistic embodiment of the national idea in modern Kazakh prose is also comprehensively analyzed by analyzing the symbols «wolf – bori», «world tree – baiterek», «house – shanyrak», «Homeland – tugan zher», etc. At the same time, it is assumed that each writer puts various specific meanings into the meaning of these artistic symbols. One of the «closed» themes revived during the years of independence is an artistic recreation of the December events that took place in Almaty in 1986. For the first time in modern Kazakh prose, K. Tumenbai wrote his story «Kobyzdyn muny» («The Grief of Kobyz») on this topic, then Askar Altai continued the baton in his story «Kaladagy kutpandar» («City Dogs»). The author, using unique images and features of the artistic method, gives his vision of the period of the December revolt. The story of the writer A. Altai «Kaladagi kutpandar» («City Dogs») is considered by the authors of the article through the literary prism of intertextual analysis with the definition of such an element of the artistic system as reminiscence. The researchers, based on the analysis of the literary text, identify the presence of historical, social, biographical reminiscences and argue their conclusions with examples. The authors of the article establish that the historical and social reminiscences presented in the work in the form of references to specific historical facts that took place in Kazakh society at the end of the twentieth century enhance the artistry of the work and create historical and social prerequisites for the narrative, and biographical reminiscences are fundamental in the work and are associated primarily with specific events that took place in the author's life.
