The large number of overground and underground parking lots require a very careful interpretation of fire safety. This is particularly relevant for eventual emerging and developing fires in the limited space of the parking lot. Smart cities involve smart solutions for great number of problems in the living and factoring areas. One of the biggest calamities is fire. A wildfire, or as a result of the anthropogenic factors, can arise in any moment and anywhere. The smart solutions and IoT (Internet of things) helps to predict such disaster and to kick against it through automation and unit-based communication. On focus of this work is the time for unit activation and reaction. A simple strategy is deployed.

This paper is a thermographic study of the exhaust manifold of a passenger car with gasoline engine. Under controlled conditions, a series of images were obtained at a TU-Sofia laboratory. Image points are selected by analyzing the temperature field distribution. The possibilities of applying such an analysis in smart cities have been explored.

Evolution of Electronic Warfare (EW) means and systems is sometimes the only possible way of neutralizing the technical superiority of the opposing parties in information and technological aspect. Increasing the combat potential in the near future will largely depend on the implementation of intellectual systems for troop and weapons management, as well as on the use of other types of armed struggle involving unconventional methods of impact on the enemy. In this respect, these means currently include EW equipment, which is itself a complex system built to a large extent on the basis of knowledge. Nowadays, leading in military aspect countries pay particular attention to the development and improvement of their assets, systems and complexes for EW. Looking in perspective, the tasks concerning EW and assigned to the means and systems are to be increased, which is related to the types of targets and the means of impact on them. Improving the quality of EW equipment and complexes would lead to a multiplication of their combat potential and, respectively, to the diminishing of eventual losses.

Logistics solves the problems of efficient management of exchange, combining conflicting requirements-technical, political, economical. The technical development usually changes the parameters and offers new solutions, with economic and political considerations following, but there is also a reverse scheme possible - the strong political will to change the geo-economic status can stimulate technical progress and draw up new logistics schemes. Neglecting a group of factors while planning strategic logistics projects can lead to costly failures.

The article deals with the problem of dynamic optimization of communication protocols operating in highly noisy environments with variable communication channel parameters typical for digital communications in transport systems. The proposed analytical approach is cleared from non-specific details that complicate the model and introduce additional errors and inaccuracies. Because the most essential features of the communication process are studied, the approach is easy to understand and implement. The basis of optimization is the analytical relationship between the probability of correct transmission of a unit of information, the parameters of the communication packet and the effective use of the communication channel. The proposed approach is suitable for quick calculations respectively for implementation in the so-called adaptive algorithms used in aircraft and space communications, etc.

The main objective of the article is to present a methodology for dynamically improving the sub-processes of the supplier. The need to improve supplier sub-processes is established on the basis of changes in buyer-supplier relationships. The methodology enables timely adaptation of the organization's strategy and sub-processes when changing buyer-supplier relationships. A computational algorithm is used to reveal the need for improvement of the sub-processes, as well as the guidelines and the scope of the improvements.

Over the last few years, there has been a tendency to blur the line between different types of crisis situations. For example, the problem that initially appears as a domestic carrier could be faced with conflict throughout the country. Another thing that is striking is that these conflicts develop in the towns, villages and other areas. The aim of this report is to focus attention on these urban areas.

Diversity is a known approach for increasing reliability of computer systems. The goal of this work is to present quantitative criteria for the measure of diversity in non-recovery computer systems. For this purpose, the model of the diversity-based system with two failure types: detectable and undetectable is presented and a formula to calculate it is proposed.

The market for lighting controls in industrial buildings and logistics sites has changed and expanded significantly in recent years. In industrial environments with conventional lighting control, illumination is usually left on permanently, regardless of whether activities are performed or not in the area. This leads to unnecessary energy expenditure. In this work the Activity Sampling (AS) method is proposed for estimation of energy saving potential. The design and the implementation of the AS study are presented in detail. According to the proposed solution after the AS study, illumination levels in the different logistics areas are controlled depending on the presence or absence of persons or vehicles in the corresponding areas. The implementation of the localization system utilizes the Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) of a ZigBee-based sensor network and fingerprinting positioning algorithms.
