Ultimately, this article should not be taken as an appeal against a Latin letter, nor should the author's intention to ban or restrict the use of this letter. The main goal is that the Latin letter in the areas where the Serbian people live cannot be primary, but should be used only as required by the Serbian Constitution, as well as the still applicable Law on the Official Use of Languages and Letters in the Republic of Serbia. Giving up your own letter (Cyrillic) is a sign of the lack of awareness of the need to nurture its own cultural values, preserve national identity and its characteristics. It also points to a lower-value complex and a misconception that moving away from ourselves will bring us closer to others. One should also remember the words of our writer Laze M. Kostić that "with the emergence of Cyrillic, Serbs were culturally created, with its renunciation they would culturally disappear. They would cease to exist as an independent nation, an independent cultural individuality". Neither will the laws of Cyrillic or not sufficiently and desirably, unless we just change our awareness of it. Only in this way can we correct the mistakes of the not-so-distant past (from the second half of the 20th century), and learn the not to give up Cyrillic for any purposes, ideals, possibly future state unions and the aforementioned brotherhood and unity.

The subject of this paper is to examine theoretical demands and probable practical solutions within the development of online placement tests for both teaching and learning Serbian as a second language. Placement tests are used in the practice of teaching a foreign language in order to determine the level of language with the aim of forming homogenous groups, and these tests, in addition, do not necessarily have to be standardised. The development of modern information-communication technologies has set new challenges for the insufficiently developed practice of teaching Serbian as a second language. Among all those challenges, the one that stands out is the development of online tests for determining the level of one's knowledge of the Serbian language. Accordingly, the main aim is to create an interactive test called Test Your Serbian, and it has shown, during its initial testing phase, an impressive degree of accuracy (100%) in determining the level of the Serbian language (as a second language).

The notary public service is a special public profession that has a specific role not only to establish legal security but also to strengthen the existing one. The Law on Notary Public opted for the so-called Latin type of notary because it was a natural ways of the historical roots of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in our area. In step with this reform project, the necessary changes in civil and procedural law were entered. The concept of notary public was to be implemented in the entire civil law system. One of the reasons for the introduction of the institute of the notary public was to make courts more effective in the matter in which this is possible. Our legal system has joined many European legal systems which, in order to respect the principles of procedural economics and speed up the provision of legal protection in civil court proceedings, provide for the possibility of entrusting the conduct of court proceedings to a notary public. The notary public acts like a judge when working on probate, but his position is not completely equal to that of a judge, therefore, the competent court has the obligation to supervise the work of the notary public. The court may at any time ask the notary public to submit the case file to him and to submit a written report on his work.

The paper discusses five monographs by Jovan Deretić, which the author considers "accompanying books" of his History of Serbian Literature. These are: Marko Kraljević's riddle - about the nature of historicity in Serbian folk epics, The path of Serbian literature - identity, borders, aspirations, Poetics of Serbian literature, Serbian folk epics and Etudes from old Serbian literature. In this paper, we analyze them as a contribution to the interpretation of the History of Serbian Literature, the most comprehensive history of literature in Serbian science to the extent that they are important as proof of Deretić's great synthesis and consideration of the function of literary criticism in Serbian culture. An important definition of the "accompanying books" is provided by the author in their prefaces and notes. It is summarized in the theoretical and applied level in the process of considering important issues of Serbian literary history: periodization and classification of literature, poetic or historical determinants and the significance of particular epochs, writers, or genres. A review of the critical evaluation of Serbian literature and historical and cultural heritage in the accompanying books shows that Deretić pragmatized his scientific thought and reaffirmed literary criticism, directing it "for the benefit of the people". This means that he gave it a practical and social function and intended it "for a distant generation".

Anarchy, which had occupied Ottoman's Empire in its last decade, had a negative impact on the position of Serbian population. Porte did not take more decisive measures to improve the situation in the field, but their politics was founded on the favouring of Albanians. Such attitude of Turkish authorities had long-lasting consequences, and Albanian unbridleness was getting larger. Oppressions were committed every day, and the main objective of Albanians was to break off compact settlements inhabited by Serbs as it was Ibarski Kolašin. Being found between Albanian oppressors from one side, and non-interested Turkish authorities, Serbs started arming themselves more actively. They purchased rifles in Serbia, and were given assistance by their compatriots, who escaping from villains, inhabited territory in the area of the Kingdom of Serbia along the border. Besides them, they were getting to weapon via some Albanians, with a certain monetary compensation. Albanians, after knowing that Serbs are being armed from Serbia, hoped more actively of their destruction. They requested from Turkish authority's weapon investigation in Ibarski Kolašin, and after the search of Shemsi pasha, in January of 1901 they were not pleased. In the summer of the same year, Isa Boljetinac with the help of his partisans was searching for weapon through Kolašin's villages, by committing crimes over innocent people. During the stay of Isa Boljetini in these areas the Kolašin's region had been deserted, and not only men were on strike but women and children as well. The only salvation from Isa's atrocities at that moment was the presence of Russian consul Mashkov, who, by the intervention via his embassy in Constantinople, managed to obtain the publication of imperial decree on the breaking of the weapon search. The publication of imperial decree and d the retreat of Isa Boljetinac from Ibarski Kolašin did not bring peace to Serbs. Namely, Isa was not pleased with the booty he had got during the summer of 1901 so that he was persuading other Albanian villains to go on with the weapon search in Kolašin's region.

One of the central issues of the modern age is related to the prevention of excessive use of narcotics, but also the Internet and electronic devices in the everyday life of young people. This leads them to loneliness, distance from society, family, people, nature… In order to prevent these problems of the modern age, it is necessary to continuously look for solutions. Some of them are related to youth engagement programs through sports activities outside the regular curriculum. The aim of this paper is to alert the public, especially the intellectual ones, to the necessity of including this type of extracurricular activities in the development of young people's personalities. The results of the research provide an overview of sports activities that should first be introduced into the plan of extracurricular activities, and which will introduce young people to a healthy growing up, and contribute to their physical and intellectual progress. The paper seeks to point once again to the population as a significant driving force in the development of economies, sports as a significant export branch, a powerful weapon against addiction, and a means of combating crime.

The subject of this paper is theoretical and empirical research of students' motivation, teaching focus and students' and teachers' roles in the teaching process of higher education. The research presented in the paper was conducted on a sample of two pedagogical faculties: the Preschool Teacher Training College in Kikinda in Serbia and the Faculty of Pedagogy in Pitesti, Romania during the 2019/2020 school year. The findings show that students' motivation to learn is moderately high, and that internal motivation is more prevalent than external. Most of the students state that they take the role of participants in teaching process, and that their teachers take the role of a source of knowledge. The teaching focus, based on the students' answers, is predominantly focused on the content of teaching. These results indicate a solid but not satisfactory picture of pedagogical practice. It is necessary to shift the focus of teaching to students, to develop a democratic climate ng in which teacher represents support of the learning process (the role of catalyst of the learning process), and to develop students' initiative, independence and responsibility in learning, which strengthens the role of active, independent participants. To this statement also contributes the finding that the teaching focus on the sample in Romania was far more focused on students than in Serbia, and that the internal motivation of students in Romania was far higher than the internal motivation of students in Serbia. Moreover, a relatively more favorable pedagogical picture of the faculties in Romania, in line with the statistically significant differences in relation to Serbia, is in line with the general picture of a country with a better socio-economic position and management (as an EU member). Therefore, the results of this study are in many ways interesting and relevant, and as such can be important to theorists and practitioners from a psycho-pedagogical, but also from the point of view of management in education.

The paper analyzes the appearance of the ordinary and the everyday in the essays of Borislav Radović, which is most often manifested through the character of a small man. In the trivial and mundane, the writer finds the sublime and the important, which often receives a mythological framework. The work also deals with the writer's position of artist-walker, flanner, which introduces a predominantly modernist line in Radović's essays. The analysis method and the close reading method seek to give an overview of the rich gallery of little people in the essay book Some Things. The aim of the paper is to give an insight into the ways in which Borislav Radović records little and usually in everyday life, which after the artistic processing receives the outlines of the unusual and mysterious. Through various procedures (enumeration, ironicity, mythologization) and in different forms, the writer provides an opportunity for the reader to reconsider the reasons why a small man often remains out of focus of art. The results of the paper show that Radović's essays offer a different image of the little man, not naturalistic or veristic but not idealistic, which represents an innovative approach to a marginalized topic in recent Serbian essay writing.
