Photographic Representation in Independent Comic “Cabin” and “Left Behind” by Azisa Noor. Independent comics are comics created and published by the creators themselves and are not tied to the publisher's interests. Several independent comics present a series of visual narratives using elements like photograph drawings or photographic imageries. The photographic imagery in question is an illustrative depiction representing photographic media, not a scene visualization technique using photographic techniques. This research aimed to investigate the report and function of photographic imageries in the visual narrative of independent comics in Indonesia, especially in the work of Azisa Noor; Cabin (2016) and Left Behind (2017) were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Identification of Cave Biota Using High Key Technique Photography. Photography is recording reflected images produced from objects illuminated by light through a device called a camera. According to Ben, (Ben Brain 2012) Photography using the high key technique is a photo that is dominated by white. High key has a function to simplify the background, making the observation/identification process easier. Cave biota is important to discuss because it functions as an indicator of biodiversity and ecosystem balance in caves. According to Cahyo (Cahyo R. 2021) Cave biota experiences physiological and morphological adaptations due to having to survive in the unique conditions and environment of caves. These forms of adaptation are regressive and progressive. Progressive adaptations include: eyes that become smaller or disappear altogether, loss of body pigment, loss of wings in several groups of insects; regressive adaptations in the form of: elongated antenne or legs and increased sense of taste such as the number and/or fine hairs on the surface of the body, trichobothria. This journal discusses how to carry out practical photography that will be used as a medium for identifying biota, including the techniques used, equipment and methods. The methods for this research were collecting cave’s biota samples, conducting photography practice, and making identification. Then, photos of cave biota were identified using a determination book and described according to the taxonomy of each type.

Technical and Creative Photographics Elements in the Visual Representation of Architectural CGI. Technological developments have caused the result of image creation in photography and Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) on architectural contexts to become increasingly similar. This issue was made as the background for research on CGI's technical and creative photographic elements. The similarity between photography images and CGI makes it challenging to differentiate between the two, thus raising the question of whether photographic elements are applied in architectural CGI images. Therefore, research was carried out to show photographic elements in architectural CGI images' technical and creative scope. The study was conducted using qualitative methods and presenting data descriptively. The analysis results showed that in architectural CGI, visible photographic elements are starting from the image creation process to the architectural CGI image results by applying technical and creative aspects directly or indirectly.

In the Silence: An Inspirational Story of Fikri’s Struggle, the Deaf Boy, in Narrative Photostory. Fikri is a nineteen-year-old boy who has been deaf since birth. He becomes the main character in this narrative photo story because he is considered extraordinary and an inspiration to other deaf people. Fikri works and earns money as the breadwinner for the whole family, considering that both of his parents are also deaf and they do not have a job. This research aims to create narrative photostory that can convey the author's perspective on Fikri in order to make the readers to have the same perception as the author. The benefit of this research is as a practical application of narrative photostory theory with Fikri as the deaf person as the subject. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative, done by exploring or photographing social situations which were thoroughly, broadly, and deeply examined. The data was collected from observation, interviews, surveys, and literature studies.

Extraction and study of the optical properties of natural dyes from several plant parts such as leaves, flowers, tubers, and fruits have been carried out using a simple maceration method and UV-Vis absorption characterization. The samples were divided into several groups in this study, namely the flower group (Tagetes sp., Paeonia sp., Centaure sp., Chrysanthemum sp., Carthamus tinctorius, Gomphrena globosa, Myosotis sylvatica, Lavandula sp., Clitoria ternatea, Matricaria chamomilla, Hibiscus sabdariffa, and Rosa sp.); the leaf group (Mangifera indica, Moringa oleifera, Graptophyllum pictum, Spinacia oleracea, Citrus hystrix, and Terminalia sp.); and the tuber and fruit group (Solanum lycopersicum, Cucurbita moschata, Garcinia mangostana, Curcuma longa, Beta vulgaris, and Caessapina sp.). The extract of natural dyes was successfully produced using a low-cost and simple extraction approach via dehydration, immersion for 2×24 hours in ethanol, and followed by filtration. The optical properties of the dyes in UV and visible light range were observed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer in the wavelength of 400-700 nm. The absorption behaviour showed dominant peaks at different wavelengths for each group. Potentially, to do a combination of dyes (co-sensitization: using more than a dye with different absorption spectra to achieve a panchromatic response) to widen the wavelength absorption for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) applications.

Pada proses sintesis nanopartikel Fe₃O₄ menggunakan metode green synthesis dengan menambahkan FeCl₃.6H₂O dan ekstrak daun nanas. Ekstrak daun nanas digunakan sebagai reduktor alami dimana memiliki kandungan hidroksil dan karbonil, yang bertindak sebagai agen pereduksi FeCl₃.6H₂O yang disintesis. Kemudian setelah presipitat didapatkan maka selanjutnya akan dilakukan kalsinasi. Dimana temperatur kalsinasi dalam sintesis menjadi faktor dalam pembentukan nanopartikel Fe₃O₄. Temperatur kalsinasi yang berbeda yaitu 400℃, 450℃ dan 500℃ diberikan untuk preparasi nanopartikel Fe₃O₄, dengan hasil uji XRD terkonfirmasi bahwa nanopartikel Fe₃O₄ terbentuk. Pada pengujian SEM-EDX variasi yang optimum adalah 400℃ karena rata-rata ukuran partikelnya 150,23 nm dengan bentuk partikel tidak beraturan. Kemudian dilanjutkan hasil SAA dengan luas permukaan 60,125 m²/g. Hasil UV-Vis didapatkan 52,79% pada material kalsinasi 450℃. Kelurahan Baru Tengah yang terletak di Kecamatan Balikpapan Barat dengan minimnya partisipasi dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam ikut serta melakukan pengelolaan sampah terutama pada wilayah yang masih melakukan penumpukan sampah dengan sembarangan. Permasalahan - permasalahan tersebut dapat menyebabkan lingkungan menjadi tercemar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaiu, untuk mengetahui timbulan, komposisi da karakteristik sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Baru Tengah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi lapangan. Hasil kondisi eksisting pengelolaan sampah pada perumahan yaitu mengajak masyarakat untuk perduli terhadap lingkungan dan melakukan penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan sampah sesuai dengan SNI 19-2454-2002 agar masyarakat dapat mengetahui pengelolaan sampah sehingga dapat berperan aktif terhadap lingkungan, dan pada TPS yaitu memanfaatkan peraturan yang berlaku mengenai pengelolaan sampah dari Peraturan Daerah Kota Balikpapan No.4 Tahun 2022.

Permasalahan - permasalahan tersebut dapat menyebabkan lingkungan menjadi tercemar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaiu, untuk mengetahui timbulan, komposisi da karakteristik sampah rumah tangga di Kelurahan Baru Tengah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi lapangan. Hasil kondisi eksisting pengelolaan sampah pada perumahan yaitu mengajak masyarakat untuk perduli terhadap lingkungan dan melakukan penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan sampah sesuai dengan SNI 19-2454-2002 agar masyarakat dapat mengetahui pengelolaan sampah sehingga dapat berperan aktif terhadap lingkungan, dan pada TPS yaitu memanfaatkan peraturan yang berlaku mengenai pengelolaan sampah dari Peraturan Daerah Kota Balikpapan No.4 Tahun 2022.","PeriodicalId":33910,"journal":{"name":"Specta","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42559987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An unmanned aircraft (UAV) is an aircraft that does not require a crew on board in its operation. This type of aircraft is widely used as a remote monitoring tool such as monitoring disaster sites, monitoring plantation areas, monitoring forests to monitoring enemy areas carried out by the military. For this reason, a study of the adhesive strength required in the connection of unmanned aircraft is needed, such as ribs, spars, skins. From the results of this study, it was found that the mechanical strength of epoxy adhesives depends on several factors such as manufacturer, epoxy content, and operating temperature. The hypothesis of the strength of the epoxy experiment results used by Pustekbang LAPAN ranged from 2,400.4 + 190.6 to 9,664.2 + 1,769.6 psi at room temperature.
