This paper presents the study on the distributed temperature sensing system (DTS) to determine the factors affecting the optical fiber thermal sensor and develop more accurate temperature sensors adapted for installation in work operating all the time and has a long distance is a belt conveyor system. The fiber optic thermometer uses the principle of Raman scattering. The performance of the fiber optic sensor was tested under various tests. Sensor cartridge structure was designed and made from steel and aluminum to test the properties, Number of fiber optic roll in the cartridge, the distance effect, and the ground environment. The results showed that cartridge materials affect heat transfer, and the installation distance between the fiber optic sensor and heat source should be at most 15 cm. Number of fiber optic roll in the cartridge was accurate when increasing number of rolls. The ground environment was also an essential factor to consider for improving the DTS system in the belt conveyor system.

Since Thailand has now completely stepped into an aged society there are more than 20% of the population aged 60 years and over. There was also an increase in those who had problems with their balance. One of the main difficulties for these people is walking on their own. This paper presents an automatic walking aid for people with balance or walking problems. A specially designed automatic walking aid can be adjusted to six levels of height. It has an anti-collision warning system at a distance of up to 40 centimeters and displays GPS coordinates via SMS when falling. The experimental results of the prototype automatic walking aid showed that the walking aid could work as designed and could help people with balance problems walk more comfortably.

We present a simple method for producing Q-switched pulses in an erbium-doped fibre laser (EDFL) ring configuration using molybdenum aluminium carbide (Mo3AlC2) as a saturable absorber (SA). Solution-casting method is used to create the Mo3AlC2-based SA. After increasing the pump power from 45.45 to 76.75 mW, a stable Q-switched pulses at 1558 nm were produced. The highest repetition rate recorded was 53.76 kHz, the smallest pulse width was 5.93 μs, and the highest pulse energy was 41.48 nJ.

The protective angle method based on IEC standard 62305 is an important concept that is popularly utilized to design the air termination for the external lightning protection system because this method can be easily implemented based on trigonometric calculation. However, the protective angle method demonstrates the weakness and limitation in a factor of the penetration distance which is rarely mentioned in publications. Especially, the penetration distance of the protective angle method is difficult to evaluate. The penetration distance is always neglected implementation while the penetration distance directly influences the lightning flash into the structure’s building. Thus, the effect of a penetration distance cannot be definitely neglected. As mentioned above, this article presents the simulation results and analysis of the penetration distance for the protective angle method based on IEC standard 62305, as well as, this article illustrates the concerned mathematical correlation and the approximate correlation for implementation respectively.

Plant factory artificial light (PFAL) is a suitable method for growing high-quality plants and increasing crop production to a very high number per area. The major goals of this paper are to implement a NB-IoT based semi-PFAL growing system that use two types of LED array, there are RBLED and phosphor converted LED (pc-LED). Then compare the Cos-lettuce yields under various LED light sources while studying the characteristics of the artificial light spectrum. The semi-PFAL growing system, was controlled for watering, lighting and monitored system operating, temperature and humidity by a NB-IoT module with MAGELLAN platform. The results show that the Cos-lettuce grown under pc-LEDs are probably more capable of photosynthesis than those using RBLEDs. The average fresh weight of the Cos-lettuce from pc-LED significant higher than RB-LED at p<$theta.theta$5. The measurement results of environmental parameters, control of lighting and watering in semi-PFAL system, data collected from cloud system under MAGELLAN platform during 20-day of experiment, it was work accurately. The semi-PFAL growing system could be utilized to produce organic vegetables in a home or school setting.

This paper presents and designs a LiDAR sensor based integrated with IoT system for long-range underground water level measurement. This system has been used and verified on the actual experiment in the application of Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) where AWD is a water-saving irrigation method to reduce irrigation water consumption in rice fields. The results show that this system has high reliability and can measure the water level below the ground surface up to 5 meters.

By using cascode technique, a buck boost converter can provide higher step-up voltage than the conventional does at the same duty ratio. Because of having non-linear variable structure and a zero on the right half plane, the cascode buck-boost becomes a challenging topic for control engineering. In this paper, an energy-based model of the converter is created and a controller design method using port-Hamiltonian is proposed. The developed controller is suitable for the non-linear system with variable structure, since the simulation results show the remarkable achievement of the proposed controller in command tracking and disturbance rejection. In addition, it can effectively treat the non-minimum phases issue of the converter.

This study presents the application of Faster RCNN, a popular Region Based Convolutional Neural Network, for detecting hyperbolic patterns in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) images. GPR is an important tool for subsurface imaging in various fields such as geology, archaeology, and engineering. However, the analysis of GPR images can be challenging due to noise, small objects, and variations in object sizes. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, 369 simulated GPR B-scan images were generated using GprMax simulation software. These images included single, double, and triple hyperbolic patterns. The results showed that preprocessing improved the detection accuracy and led to higher Intersection over Union (IoU) scores. The experimental results demonstrate that Faster R-CNN is an effective tool for hyperbolic pattern detection in GPR images and provides a promising direction for future research in the field.

In Thailand, there is a problem with the traceability system that still uses handwriting form. Paper and handwriting are becoming the weakness and errors in keeping a record of the sterilization process correctness. The proposed system is developed and compared with the other two existing systems in this paper. The comparison shows the functional difference in features for using the system in CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department). In the comparison, the proposed system has more features to assist the process recording task. The result shows that the proposed system has more functions to assist the CSSD staff.

The dual-band band-stop filter using a hexagonal-shape microstrip line is presented in this paper. The chipless RFID with the band-stop filter used to determine the relative permittivity of material under test and identify characteristic based on the unique responded signal from the chipless RFID sensor. This paper proposed the multiple microstrip line structure with a quarter-wavelength transformer to generate an identification (ID) code, i.e., ID-01, ID-10, and ID-11 at the center frequency of 2.2 GHz and 2.7 GHz. From the results, the proposed chipless RFID sensor can be identified and determined the relative permittivity of the LWC.
