Purpose: Aim of this study is to examine the factors (personality traits, Covid-19 crises) influencing the entrepreneurship readiness among the university students in Pakistan Design/Methodology/Approach: The study used online survey for collection from 396 students of different university of Pakistan. The date was collected during online classes in Covid-19 pandemic. Multiple regression analysis technique was applied for the analysis of the data. Findings: The findings of the study demonstrate that all three personality traits i.e. need for achievement, locus of control and self-efficacy is positively influencing entrepreneurial readiness. But this personality trait alone cannot do favor they need other personality traits and they require to have favorable circumstances. However, covid-19 crises have negative influence on student’s readiness of being entrepreneur. Implications/Originality/Value: The study postulate that hard and uncertain situation do have influence on student’s motivation of being entrepreneur.

Purpose: Drawing on stakeholder theory (Freeman, 1984) and TBL theory (Elkington, 1994), this study aims to propose a consolidated model of GHRMPs – SDGs linkages, shedding light on the underlying process through which the corporate-sector can attain SDGs. Design/methodology: A detailed review of extant literature by strategically choosing articles on the topics of GHRMPs and sustainable-development from different databases published from 2015 to 2022 was performed. Key finding(s): This study identified 8 SDGs potentially attainable by corporate-sector. Through GHRMPs corporate-sector can attain three pillars of sustainability i.e., environmental, social, and economic, effectively execute green SCM practices, undertake green–innovation, and eventually accomplish SDGs. Practical implication(s): This study guides business policymakers and civil society actors seeking to widen the range of sustainable corporate actors. Contribution to knowledge: This study explored the mid-mechanism comprehending the GHRMPs – SDGs linkages and identified the role of GHRMPs towards SDGs, and hence contributes to the knowledge by providing a roadmap for understanding sustainability by exploring the previously unexplored networks between constructs.

Purpose: The current inter-tribal conflict and economic crisis have impacted all aspects of life in Yemen, especially hampered the development of education. This study focuses the inter-tribal conflict effects on the development of education Approach: This is achieved by collecting data applying qualitative tools of data collection. The data was collected from the students, teachers and tribal elders in Aden and Taiz through in-depth interview and focused group discussion. The data analyzed in the light of different themes derived from the primary data Findings: The results indicated that the intertribal conflict has significantly affected the education infrastructure. Moreover, we found that inter-tribal conflict hampered the process of the development. More importantly, the educated people left the county and the government and people are not investing in the educational sector Implications/Originality/Value: For the development of (education in) Yemen, all the political parties in the nation and regional and international communities must show more responsibility and commitment towards the current and future generations of Yemen and the world.

Purpose: Making jobs challenging and interesting is becoming a new trend in organizations and is related to job crafting behavior. Employees with different sort of wellbeing predict diverse crafting behaviors. This study is about making comparisons between the two states of wellbeing that can be differentiated on theoretical backgrounds: work engagement and work holism. Specifically, both well beings may differently predict job crafting behavior Design/Methodology/Approach: This study was quantitative in nature and applied on a sample of 285 faculty members working in higher education institutions in Pakistan. Further, the moderating effect of perceived organizational support was tested by using the SEM-AMOS. Findings: The findings revealed that engaged employees always craft their jobs even if they don’t perceive considerable support from their organizations. But the employees who are workaholic, do not usually craft their jobs, but adopt job crafting behavior when they perceive an organizational support. Implications/Originality/Value: This study points towards an important theoretical connection between employee wellbeing and job crafting behavior. It concludes that employee wellbeing is essential for job crafting and, specifically, for workaholic employees, perceived organizational support is also important.

Purpose: News media in third world countries remained under social, religious, political and military pressure. Developing countries in presence of pressure groups cannot enjoy the fruits of a democratic setup. So, the purpose of study is to explore factors of downsizing in traditional media organizations and their future in wake of pressure groups, which create hindrance in freedom of expression. Design/ Methodology/ Approach: Qualitative approach was employed to explore the causes behind the undesired downsizing. Researchers chosen 15 respondents working on senior positions in different traditional media organization from different stations of Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur and Karachi based on purposive sampling. Findings: Results revealed the incumbent government changed its stance on freedom of expression and adopted each modus operandi to silence the voices from journalistic corners. The government promoted selective part of freedom of expression by highlighting the anchors speaking in favor of the party. Implications/ Originality/ Value: So, the study concluded traditional media organizations should be reorganized and government should extend its democratic support for protecting freedom of expression. The study recommended the government should remain impartial and provide space to traditional news organizations so that the citizens should be provided with right to know.

Purpose: Managing work and life together is an ongoing challenge in today’s world. In the current study, we examine the Work-Life Balance (WLB) of employees in Islamic Bank. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the experience of Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Burnout by workers of the Islamic Banking sector. Design/Methodology/Approach: In this research, the data will be collected through the Islamic Banks based on a quantitative research method. To regulate the influence of demographic variables on burnout & WLB. To study the relation among WLB, employee engagement, burnout, and OCB a questionnaire was distributed among the employees by using the convenient random sampling technique. Findings: Results contributed to the study by narrating that no moderating role of Employee Engagement has been observed affecting the relationship between Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as well as the relationship between Burnout and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Implications/Originality/Value: The findings of this study can assist HR managers and policymakers in understanding how Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Burnout can contribute to the development of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). While Employee Engagement strengthens the Work-Life Balance (WLB) and provides theoretical-based analytics to improve Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). In organizations, a well-managed WLB is necessary to retain employees. This activity also has some implications on Employee Engagement and their attitude towards work without considering the impact of Burnout.

Purpose: The present study aims to investigate the relationship between human resource management practices (recruitment and selection, training and development and performance appraisal) and employee’s performance. Further, this study examines the moderating role of Islamic Work Ethics in the direct link mentioned above in the banking sector of Pakistan. Design/Methodology/Approach: The data were collected from 256 employees working in the banking sector of Pakistan. To test the hypothesized relationships, multiple regression analysis was conducted. Findings: The findings indicated the significant impact of human resource management practices (recruitment and selection, training and development and performance appraisal) on employee performance. Moreover, the moderating role of Islamic Work Ethics was also supported. This study found the Islamic Work Ethics strengthens the relationship between human resource management practices (recruitment and selection, training and development and performance appraisal), employee’s performance. Implications/Originality/Value This concludes that human resource management practices are essential for every organization that enhance the Employee’s Performance. Further it is revealed Islamic Work Ethics moderates the relationship between human resource management practices and Employees Performance. Implications and future research for practice and directions are discussed.

Purpose: Every person in this world has the right to be educated and by every person means every single person, yes, the persons of special needs as well. About 15 percent of the world’s population has suffered various forms of disabilities such as visual and hearing impairment, physically handicapped, or mental retardation. The 1st purpose of this research was to find out the problems that a teacher faced while teaching a special learner at a higher education level. 2nd to find out the student’s perspective of studying in an inclusive setting at the university level. Design/Methodology/Approach: A phenomenological design was used and both teachers and their students took interviews. Qualitative theme analysis method was used in this study to analyze the teachers and students’ perceptions. Findings: The study’s findings provide an understanding of the experiences of teachers as well as perspectives regarding disabilities of learners in the regular classroom. They both recognized four zones that obstruct their capability to efficiently teach in a mixed ability classroom and the regular classroom. (a) Insufficient knowledge of teachers and lack of awareness about inclusion in the classroom. (b) Lack of training employed in inclusive or regular classrooms with differently-abled students; (c) Lack of examination to choose the most suitable aids which helpful for the teaching in the inclusive regular classroom. (d). Learning difficulty and psychological issues in the classroom. Implications/Originality/Value: From This research everyone will be benefited: students, as per their learning will be improved by it; educators as it will improve their teaching and efficiency in the classroom and parents, as their children will more likely to have a positive environment in the university. It will provide them an opportunity to learn from each other at the university level.

Purpose: It has been observed that social networking sites especially Facebook is affecting the performance of the students. The purpose of this paper is to explore and study the experiences of students with Facebook on their academic performance. Design/methodology/approach: Qualitative research methodology is used as it sheds light on the experiences of people involved and makes an attempt to understand the reasons behind certain behavioral change. The students of undergraduate program of various departments of different private and public academic institutions are taken in account for this research study. Based on the extensive review of literature, semi-structured interviews were conducted for data collection. Findings: Data gathered from the interviews have clearly indicated the adverse effect of Facebook on students’ academic performance which can be seen in the interview excerpts of different students. Review of literature also indicates that the overwhelming usage of Facebook is creating silo walls that isolate people from family, friends and society. Practical Implications: The study provides the guidance to teachers, academicians, educationists, researchers, regulators, parents and students for change in pattern of behavior and its consequences on students’ academic performance. Furthermore, the study brings awareness among undergraduate students about how Facebook affects their academic performance. Originality/Value: This study is among few studies that thoroughly explore and describe the devastating impact of overwhelm use of Facebook on students’ academic performance.

Purpose: This research paper investigates the impact of sports tourism on the growth of economy of a developing nation especially India. We have used the time frame from 1990 to 2016 and we have taken all the international events occurred in India during this span of time. The variables included in this research paper include Gross Domestic Product as dependent variable whereas in control variable we have taken Gross Fixed Capital Formation and Labor Force and International Tourism as focus variable. We have also used dummy variable in our regression model where ‘0’ refers to years in which India has not hosted any mega sports event and ‘1’ refers to years in which India has hosted any mega sports event. Methodology: In order to observe the effect of hosting any mega sports events on growth on economy of India, we have used Ordinary Least Square technique. Findings: In order to observe the effect of hosting any mega sports events on growth on economy of India, we have used Ordinary Least Square technique. With the help of Regression results we can conclude that there is a positive impact of Sports Tourism on Gross Domestic Product and the dummy variable used in our Regression model also found to be significant. After seeing the results, it is suggested to the policy makers and the Indian Government to increase the investment in the infrastructure and also provide number of incentives to the tourist that are going to visit during any mega sports event, perhaps it will also boost the tourism industry in the country which ultimately effect the growth of economy positively. Implications: There are other areas which should be the focus of the government in future are socio-cultural issues and environmental impacts of hosting a mega sports event.
