Afiks Bahasa Korea dalam Esai Jichyeotgeonna Joahaneun Ge Eopgeona

This study aims to analyze Korean language affixes. The source data in this research was taken from a Korean essay entitled Jichyeotgeona Joahaneun Ge Eopgeona. This study was designed to answer the following research question; how is the classification of affixes contained in the essay Jichyeotgeona Joahaneun Ge Eopgeona based on the theory of affix classification proposed by Kim et al. (2005). This study used mixed methods with descriptive-analytical approach. Based on the results of data analysis, there were found 28 affixes, consisting of 4 prefixes and 24 suffixes in the data source. From the 4 prefixes, it is found that 3 prefixes are attached to the basic form of noun class and 1 prefix is attached to the base form of verb or adjective class. Furthermore, from 24 suffixes, 6 suffixes form verbs, 15 suffixes form nouns, 2 suffixes form adjectives and 1 suffix forms adverbs. Through the results of this study, it is hoped that it will provide readers with additional knowledge and reference materials regarding affixes in Korean.
本研究旨在分析韩国语词缀。本研究的资料来源于韩国文《Jichyeotgeona Joahaneun Ge Eopgeona》。本研究旨在回答以下研究问题;基于Kim et al.(2005)提出的词缀分类理论,《Jichyeotgeona Joahaneun Ge Eopgeona》一文中的词缀分类是如何进行的?本研究采用描述分析混合方法。根据数据分析结果,在数据源中发现了28个词缀,包括4个前缀和24个后缀。从4个前缀中可以发现,有3个前缀附在名词类的基本形式上,1个前缀附在动词或形容词类的基本形式上。此外,在24个后缀中,6个后缀构成动词,15个后缀构成名词,2个后缀构成形容词,1个后缀构成副词。通过本研究的结果,希望能为读者提供有关韩国语词缀的额外知识和参考资料。

Improving Speaking Skill by Using Group Work Method 运用小组作业法提高口语能力

There are four skills in English and one of the skills that students think is very difficult is speaking. Speaking is the skill that needs more practice and exercise, otherwise speaking fluency cannot be improved. Teacher needs to use different teaching techniques in order to reach all students effectively. The objective of this research is to see whether the method in teaching Speaking English by using the group work technique has a positive effect on the academic achievement of the students at Polytechnic ATIM (ATI Makassar), especially for Agro Industrial Engineering students who studied at the second grade. This research was carried out through class action research where teacher give some materials , apply the method, then give direct testing such as written test to find out how far students understand about the materials after they discussed in group. It is one of the assessment materials. Others assessments are taken from groups’ activities in class room, groups’ presentation, Individual’s interview test and questionnaire. This technique plays a positive role in improving the academic achievement in speaking. The technique can also improve students’ motivation in learning English; develop their Self-confidence and cooperation among students. The finding from questionnaire proves that this method can also be used to improve students’ mastery of grammar in use and motivate students in learning grammar. The method promotes learner autonomy by allowing students to make their own decision in the group without being told what to do by the teacher.
英语有四种技能,学生们认为最难的技能之一就是口语。口语是需要更多练习和锻炼的技能,否则口语的流畅性无法提高。教师需要使用不同的教学技巧,以便有效地接触到所有学生。本研究的目的是为了了解运用小组工作技巧的英语口语教学方法是否对望加锡理工学院学生的学业成绩有积极的影响,特别是对二年级农业工业工程专业的学生。本研究是通过集体行动研究的方式进行的,教师给出一些材料,运用该方法,然后进行直接测试,如笔试,以了解学生在小组讨论后对材料的理解程度。是考核材料之一。其他评估采用小组课堂活动、小组陈述、个人访谈测试和问卷调查。这种方法对提高口语学习成绩有积极的作用。该方法还可以提高学生学习英语的动机;培养学生之间的自信心和合作精神。问卷调查的结果证明,这种方法也可以提高学生在使用中对语法的掌握程度,激发学生学习语法的积极性。这种方法通过允许学生在小组中自己做决定而不需要老师告诉他们该做什么来促进学习者的自主性。

Kamus Bahasa Mandarin Di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

The Mandarin learners need a dictionary to facilitate their learning. Nowadays, there are three types of dictionaries that can be used, namely, dictionaries in book form, digital and online. Based on a year of observations, most Mandarin learners prefer a dictionary in book form compared with digital and online form. In Yogyakarta province, not all the dictionaries on the market are fulfill the quality standards, as we see from several dictionaries which was reviewed and analyzed. The results from our analysis showed that the Mandarin dictionaries on the market is not following the principles in Mandarin language, whether in terms of spelling, vocabulary, Han characters and sentence examples. Hence, we suggest that a Mandarin learners must take a cautious care when they are going to buy a dictionary in a book form, becuse that is going to determine the quality of the learners in learning Mandarin language.
学普通话的人需要一本字典来帮助他们学习。如今,有三种类型的字典可以使用,即书籍形式的字典,数字和在线。根据一年的观察,大多数汉语学习者更喜欢书本形式的词典,而不是数字和在线形式的词典。在日惹省,并非市场上所有的字典都符合质量标准,正如我们从几本词典中所看到的那样。分析结果表明,市场上的汉语词典在拼写、词汇、汉字和例句等方面都没有遵循普通话的原则。因此,我们建议汉语学习者在购买书本形式的词典时必须谨慎小心,因为这将决定学习者学习汉语的质量。

Bahasa Jepang Sebagai Bahasa Asing -Pemahaman Pembelajar Terhadap Kala- 日语作为一种外语——学习者对时态的理解

In Indonesian to express time in the past, present, and future only indicated by time adverbs, and no conjugation in the verb. The first-year Japanese language education learners in the Ganesha  University of Education, when they began to understand tenses in Japanese, it was seen that the concept of tenses in Indonesian was interference. The not only verb conjugation in Japanese is an obstacle, but the understanding of concepts Japanese tenses has also become a problem for learners. This paper will explain to the understanding of first-year Japanese language learners when applied Japanese tenses. This research is experimental research, where learners will be given two sentences, and asked to explain the differences. If the learner understands the concept of the Japanese tenses, the learner will find the difference from the time of the event in the sentence. There were 22 learners first-year Japanese language learners who were the subjects of the research. The results obtained are the first-year Japanese language learners of the Ganesha University of Education,  most of whom have not shown a good understanding of the use of Japanese tenses, this is indicated by the number of learners who are right in explaining that there are four people from 22 learners.

Kesesuaian Kompetensi Soft Skill Lulusan Program Studi Bahasa/ Sastra Jepang Dengan Kebutuhan Dunia Kerja 日本语言/文学专业毕业生与工作世界的需要和谐相处

One of the efforts to improve the quality of human resources is by building links and matches between educational institutions and industry.  This link and match will support the growth of skilled human resources who can contribute optimally in various fields. In this regard, the question that often arises is whether universities, as institutions that play a role in educating young people, have produced graduates who have competencies that are in line with the needs of the industries. This research was conducted to identify hard skills and soft skill s typically required by the industries related to Japan and needed to be mastered by the graduates of Japanese Language/Literature Study Program who are working as Japanese speaking professional. Besides, this research aimed to analyze the weaknesses and problems faced by Japanese speaking professional when carrying out their work. The research data were collected from Japanese speaking professionals and the representative from Japanese companies located in Indonesia using questionnaires and interviews. Data obtained were then analyzed by referring to several references, including the results of the research conducted by M.M. Robles (2012) related to hard skills and soft skill s. The study finding about the strengths and weaknesses of Japanese Language Study Program graduates in Indonesia, can lead to improvement of the Japanese language learning, especially Japanese language learning in universities in Indonesia. So that the results of the study are expected to be taken into consideration in preparing and developing the curriculum of Japanese Language Studies Program in Universities, not only in the Vocational School of UGM, but also in other institutions in Indonesia.

Literary subjects are usually presented through lecturing the students in the classroom, leading them into a stage of boredom. In fact, the learning method has shifted from teacher-centered to student-centered. This way, active learning becomes necessary. The study aims to know the students’ perception on the use of active learning, especially cooperative learning, in Drama Prose Poetry subject.  The research belongs to descriptive qualitative study, using closed and open questionnaires to obtain qualitative and quantitative data.  The participants are 83 students taking Drama Prose Poetry subjects in the department of English Education. The results show that more than half of the participants (58 in number) agree to be more active in the classroom.

Pemerolehan Kosakata Dalam Bahasa Jepang Melalui Pengajaran Bunpoo Dan Kaiwa

The focus of this article is vocabulary acquisition of Japanese through demonstrative methods. This article is the result of research on the methods of vocabulary acquisition of Nursing Science students of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Udayana. This article aims to explain the use of language teaching methods and strategies in non-language classes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This article refers to the concept and theories formulated by Bandura (1986). Natural methods are used in learning Japanese grammar. Vocabulary acquisition can be obtained through the explanation of simple vocabularies that is started from a classroom environment, or through the dictionary used in the study. While, in conversation learning, the methods used are shadowing method and conversation method, which is supported by demonstrative strategies and the “question and answer” strategy. The strategy is employed by providing similar questions to all of the learners that make them try to look for different vocabularies to answer the question. The demonstrative strategy is used for observation, imitation and repetition, as well as development of the material of the context in real life situations.

This article refers to the concept and theories formulated by Bandura (1986). Natural methods are used in learning Japanese grammar. Vocabulary acquisition can be obtained through the explanation of simple vocabularies that is started from a classroom environment, or through the dictionary used in the study. While, in conversation learning, the methods used are shadowing method and conversation method, which is supported by demonstrative strategies and the “question and answer” strategy. The strategy is employed by providing similar questions to all of the learners that make them try to look for different vocabularies to answer the question. Pembentukan Kalimat Pasif Bahasa Jepang: Studi Kasus Pembelajaran Kalimat Pasif Bahasa Jepang Pada Pembelajar Indonesia 日语被动句的形成:在印度尼西亚学习者身上研究日语被动语态案例

This study aims to analyze the errors in the construction of Japanese passive sentence. This research involves Indonesian Japanese language students of semester IV. The sample of this research is Indonesian essay in 200 words. Quantitative and qualitative methods are used based on the error establishment definition of Japanese passive sentence Ichikawa (2005). The research result  shows that the students make mistake in changing the Japanese passive verb form by 53%, the error in particle selection as much as 24%, the error in the subject structuring and object complement 18% and error in sentence formation of  Yari-morai (giving-taking) as much as 5%.The error in changing the Japanese passive verb form is caused by a lack of practice and understanding of Japanese passive forms. Error in particle selection is caused by negative transfer factor. The lack of students 'understanding of the formation of Japanese passive sentences causes learners to tend to arrange subjects and principals' objects in Japanese passive sentences following the Indonesian passive sentence arrangement rules. The results of this study can provide an overview for Japanese language teachers, especially about the acquisition of learning passive Japanese sentence language among Indonesian students to be able to make a variety of a more creative teaching. 
本研究旨在分析日语被动句结构中的错误。本研究对象为第四学期的印尼日语学生。本研究样本为印尼语200字短文。根据日语被动句Ichikawa(2005)的错误建立定义,采用定量和定性方法。研究结果表明,学生在日语被动语态变化上的错误达53%,在小品选择上的错误达24%,在主语结构和宾语补语上的错误达18%,在“给-取”造句上的错误达5%。日语被动语态变化的错误是由于缺乏对日语被动语态的练习和理解造成的。粒子选择的误差是由负传递因子引起的。由于学生对日语被动句的构成缺乏了解,导致学习者在日语被动句中倾向于按照印尼语被动句的排列规则来安排主语和主语的宾语。本研究的结果可以为日语教师提供一个概览,特别是关于学习被动日语句子语言的印尼学生的习得,能够使各种更有创造性的教学。

Pemahaman dan Preferensi Bahasa Masyarakat Indonesia pada Istilah Komputer dan Internet 对计算机和互联网术语的理解和偏好

Technology, including computers and internet, cannot be separated from Indonesians. At the beginning of computers and internet existence in Indonesia, the government took an initiative to make computers and internet equivalent terms through Presidential Decree No. 2 Year 2001. This aimed to ease Indonesians in using computers and/or internet. This effort then generated “Senarai Padanan Istilah" consisting of 711 equivalents from 629 English terms. This study aims to investigate Indonesians’ comprehension, language preference, including their reason in choosing a particular language regarding computer and/or internet terms. The data were obtained from online questionnaire. The data obtained then were used to investigate Indonesians’ comprehension of the terms as well as their language preference relating to the computer and/or internet terms. The results are then presented descriptively. This research results in: 1) Indonesians have a fairly high understanding related to computer and/or internet equivalent terms; 2) however, Indonesians prefer English to bahasa Indonesia, as many as 91.9% of the respondents; 3) English preference by the  respondents is motivated by English terms familiarity, English terms ease to be understood, the lack of appropriateness of the equivalent terms, English shorter terms, and the unavailability of equivalent terms in the computer program they run.

Analisis Kebutuhan Bahasa Mandarin Dunia Usaha Di Jawa Barat 分析西爪哇的商业语言需求

China’s increasing investment in Indonesia has resulted in higher demand of professional that is fluent in Chinese for business purposes. This research aims to analyze the needs of stakeholder and learners on Chinese for business purposes, and to evaluate whether this needs have been answered by curriculum implementation in higher education level. The writer analyzes the needs of stakeholder and learners by using quantitative qualitative method, evaluates teaching methods and learning materials used in X University in West Java, and compare the analysis of stakeholder and learners’ needs to the evaluation of learning materials and teaching method implemented in X University in West Java. This research aims to provide reference of stakeholder and learners’ needs on Chinese for business purposes, and thus provide basis for the design of Chinese for business purposes curriculum in Indonesia.
