This research aims to understand the meanings of affection and love, identify their rhetorical connotations, and highlight the main differences between them. The researcher used several scientific methods in the research, including the descriptive analytical method. The research consisted of three chapters where the researcher discussed the meanings of affection and love, provided examples of Quranic verses that mention affection and love, and concluded with a conclusion that contains the main results and recommendations. One of the key findings was that the occurrence of a word in one context differs in meaning from its occurrence in another context, and there are differences between the meanings and connotations of the words love and affection in the Holy Quran. Among the meanings of the word affection in language are: (love, affection, lover, friendship, desire, pillar, book). It was revealed that affection is ranked among the highest levels of love, but its linguistic meaning has not settled on a single meaning, but rather on several meanings. Although one of them is love, it is not explicitly referred to. The meanings of love and affection almost always revolve around an emotion that inclines the soul towards what it sees and believes to be good. The meanings of love are united and similar, while the meanings of affection are varied and distant. The research concluded by recommending further studies and research on words that appear to have similar meanings and connotations but are actually different and sometimes contradictory, as is the case with the words affection and love.

The play Rosmersholm, one of the social plays aimed at the upper class of society, the clergy, simulates the Norwegian reality on a narrow level in conveying the situation surrounding Rosmersholm. The play begins with the loss of one of its pillars, which is the pastor's wife, Rosmer. The play consists of four chapters and is a social epic that conveys a state of salvation, socio-religious liberation and adherence resulting from family legacies that turn a person towards what he does not aspire to. This study aims to research the symbolism of the spiritual personality and its behaviours to present this type of class that remained closed for a long time and cannot be explored by the general public. It also provides an analytical study of free personalities, resulting in knowledge of the extent of the influence of religion and freedom on individuals. At that time, these two types of characters were considered incompatible and did not meet due to the nature of the religious symbol, closed in on itself, and its distance from religiosity and the church. Combining them together leads to one of the following results:

The present research project aims to explore translation methods adopted by Yemeni undergraduates when translating war-related collocations from English to Arabic and vice versa. To collect the data, a translation test was given to 64 undergraduate students affiliated to the departments of English and Translation in five Yemeni public and private universities. The test consists of 20 English sentences including war-related collocations to be translated into Arabic, and 20 Arabic sentences to be translated into English. The translation methods used by the students were investigated. Excel statistical analysis software was used to analyze the selected collocations. Percentages were used to quantify the total number of Yemeni undergraduate students who translated the collocations in the translation test. The frequencies of the methods used for the selected collocations were represented as ratios. The findings revealed that the most frequent methods used by students in translating war-related collocations are modulation, paraphrasing, literal translation, and transposition. The findings of the study also highlight implications to be utilized by students and translators in the form of recommendations.

The study aimed to analyze the reality of practicing leadership succession planning in the general management of the Palestinian Electricity Company in the southern governorates (Gaza Strip), in addition to identifying the challenges that impede the practice of succession planning and its effectiveness. This study followed the analytical descriptive method and a questionnaire as collecting tools and applied them to supervisory staff in the general management of the company by using the comprehensive survey method. A total of 102 male and female employees participated, and 93 valid questionnaires were recovered for analysis, with a recovery rate of 91.2%. The most important results showed that the general management of the company practices leadership succession planning in all its stages to a medium degree. The results also showed that there are a number of obstacles and challenges that impede the effective practice of the leadership succession planning process, such as the lack of background knowledge of successful experiences for this kind of planning and the weakness of the evaluation system associated with the succession planning process. and the lack of sufficient conviction to spread the culture of planning to successive leaderships among the management of the company. The statistical software program (SPSS V24) was used to test and analyze the data. One of the key recommendations of the study was to give more attention to the leadership succession planning process and work on addressing the challenges that reduce its effectiveness within the company.
