A highly accelerated life test method for computer keyboards 计算机键盘的高加速寿命试验方法

A new method of Highly Accelerated Stress Screen/Life Testing (HASS/HALT) for computer keyboards is introduced and compared with User Information Investigation (UII) from manufacturer, Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), and Normal Stress Reliability Testing (NSRT). The results of the above three lab testing processes all showed good accordance trends with the data from the UII. The failure mechanism shows that a silicone cushion component acts as the spring and the shock absorber when keys are pressed, and acts as a key role to the key function, also decides the life of the key. When the dynamic load of “knocks” (mechanically simulated key presses) increases, the key life decreases, with degradation or failure especially apparent of the silicone cushion. Once a cushion fails, the dynamic shocking forces greatly increase, and the key cap soon breaks. The cushion failure was not a exclusive failure mode observed in the UII, NSRT, ALT and HALT tests, but a crucial one in the Complete Failure Mode Set. The HASS/HALT tests were able to show some quality control features of keyboards within a very short period. The trends corresponded well with real-world failure rate reported by users, ALT and NSRT. This study aids the design of rapid reliability/life testing which is important for product development and efficient quality control. With the help of this method, long-term reliability certification testing can be reduced from months to days.

Modeling failure data by 3-parameter Weibull distribution models 采用三参数威布尔分布模型对失效数据进行建模

Many models with three parameters have been developed based on extension or generalization of the Weibull distribution. These models include modified Weibull, Weibull extension, extended Weibull and others. Seven such models are discussed in this paper, in addition to a generalization of the exponential distribution, and a flexible Weibull model with two parameters. These models are more flexible than the usual 2-parameter Weibull, and they are useful for modeling lifetime/failure data with different behaviors such as decreasing, increasing, bathtub-shaped, or even upside-down bathtub-shaped failure rate. In this paper, a procedure for selecting an optimal model for lifetime data analysis is presented based on the plots on Weibull probability paper (WPP). An example is provided to illustrate the procedure and the usefulness of these models. This procedure serves as a guideline for reliability engineers and statisticians when dealing with data modeling.

Research on IETM access control technology IETM访问控制技术研究

With the intensive and large scale application of interactive electrical technical manual (IETM) in equipment integrated support, security becomes one of the most important problems. As an important part of security domain, access control technique is used to limit users' capability and scope to access data and ensure the information resources not to be accessed illegally. This paper focuses on access control technology in IETM. First, it introduces traditional access models and methods, and puts forward model, role, resource and mission based access control (MRRFAC) model according to IETM access control requirement. Then, it thoroughly analyses IETM access control strategy of function, manual, mission, data resource authority. Finally, J2EE and Web Service are used to develop access control components, which are integrated by IETM business systems or subsystems to realize fine grain IETM access control.

Higher order normal approximation approach for system reliability assessment 系统可靠性评估的高阶正态逼近方法

In industry and engineering, reliability analysis of complex systems is one of the most concerning problems. System reliability depends on the reliability of components and system structure. Due to high testing costs, only component data is available and sample sizes are strictly limited. In this article, we describe a new form of WCF expansion for determining the confidence bounds of system reliability. WCF expansion is a higher order normal approximate approach to deal with confidence interval associated with small sample. The Weibull distribution is the most widely used lifetime model in engineering. However, statistical analysis of the Weibull distribution is difficult because of the complicated expression of its distribution function. We present an approach to determine the point estimation of reliability of the Weibull distribution, relying on the reliability parameter. We then apply this property to determine the confidence bounds for system reliability. Our method leads to a better performance and an accurate confidence lower bound for system reliability. Some simulation studies are presented to demonstrate the applications of our method.

Research on comprehensive evaluations of equipment maintainability based on an incomplete judgment matrix 基于不完全判断矩阵的设备维修性综合评价研究

Equipment maintainability is a key factor of equipment general mass properties. The practical problem of the importance of the maintainability index is difficult to evaluate. In this study the evaluation index system of equipment maintainability is described and an incomplete judgment matrix is introduced into the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The significance of the index is compared and the weight of the index is calculated. A tracked fire truck is taken as an example, and the visual simulation and expert score methods are used to evaluate the index. The maintainability evaluation result of the tracked fire truck is calculated and suggests this method is effective for providing data on equipment maintainability evaluation.

Preventive strike vs. counter intelligence and protection for a target under attack 预防性打击与反情报和对攻击目标的保护

A defender protects a target from being attacked. It can carry out two kinds of strategies. One is passive defense strategy. The other is active defense strategy. When the defender executes the passive defense strategy, it can deploy camouflage to misinform the attacker. When the defender runs the active defense strategy, it strikes the attacker preventively. Then, the defender will reveals itself and therefore, the attacker detects the target without the intelligence contest. Depending on the strategy chosen by the defender, the attacker should succeed in double contest games to destroy the target. In the case of passive defense it should win the target intelligence and impact contests. In the case of active defense it should win the preventive strike and impact contests. The attacker allocates its resources among the intelligence, the impact and self-protection efforts, whereas the defender distributes its resources among the counter intelligence, protection and the preventive strike efforts. The attacker attempts to maximize the target vulnerability, but oppositely the defender desires to minimize it. The paper develops two non-cooperative two-period minmax games.

Aircraft runway excursion prediction model based on exponential weight 基于指数权重的飞机跑道偏移预测模型

Existing problems in the prediction methods for aircraft runway excursion are analyzed in this study and summarized in this paper. Based on the cause factors, process events, and internal mechanism of runway excursion, through event analysis, expert discussion, and other methods, the prediction index system is established. This system includes the three aspects of pilot, airport, and aircraft. The weights and risk level standards for each index are determined. Based on the impact of each index on the runway excursion, the exponential weight method is used to establish the prediction model of runway excursion. Using the model, the influence coefficient of each index to the runway excursion is calculated and then superposed to realize the prediction of the runway excursion. Finally, an airline is chosen for model application, which shows that the model is a practical new method to predict the occurrence of runway excursion.

This paper mainly studied the effect of storage time on solderability of two kinds of Sn plating of flat gull wing leads on plastic package IC component. Design the aging test, and then use Xray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), wetting balance test and data analysis, to obtain storage of coating aging degree and the change of the terminal wetting balance. Consequently, provided the criterion for establish the logical storage term of components.

Model-based safety analyses of embedded system using stateflow 基于模型的嵌入式系统状态流安全性分析

Relying on the skill and experience of the engineer, traditional method of safety analyses is subjective and may not guarantee the integrity, consistency and correctness sometimes. In this paper, we first summarize the deficiencies in the safety analysis based on the development of V mode. Then we put forward a new model-based method called VT-mode development. The mode discusses the safety analysis process in detail, meanwhile considering the traditional safety analysis methods. A model-based safety analysis framework is also put forward, which is established on fault model and validation model, combined with the existing foreign scientific research. At last, by modellization and simulation of the fuel engine control system using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, we analyze the system's safety successsfully, verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of this method.

Armored equipment effectiveness evaluation based on hierarchy-grey theory 基于层次灰色理论的装甲装备效能评价

Effectiveness evaluation has been widely used in the military. The effectiveness evaluation of military armored equipment is the quantitative or qualitative statements of effectiveness by means of a scientific evaluation in single effectiveness, system effectiveness, as well as operational effectiveness. The evaluation model in hierarchy-grey theory is an effective, comprehensive evaluation method. It puts forward a set of evaluation criteria systems that can calculate a reasonable object weight, making full use of expertise. This model combines quantitative study with qualitative analysis, to evaluate an object scientifically. In this paper, we take the effectiveness evaluation criteria system of armored equipment as an example and use the hierarchy-grey theory to evaluate it, thus providing strong theoretical support for effectiveness evaluation research of armored equipment.
