The method to change surface potential by atomic force microscope (AFM) probe is demonstrated and used. The possibilities of two dimensional electron gas reversible modulations are demonstrated on the example of nanoscale local AFM tip-induced surface nanomodification of heteroepitaxial AlGaAs/GaAs. The surface potential modulation is shown to be 100 mV with sample resistance change being 20-40 KOhm. Surface potential change is detected by Kelvin Scanning Probe Microscopy (KSPM).

Voltage inverter is one of the basic components of an autonomous AC power supply systems. This article is a comparative analysis of two-level and three-level voltage source inverter schemes. The analysis includes calculation of the efficiency and estimating the weight and size of converters compared. Simulation models for both inverters were developed in the software package POWERSIM 9.0.

Fixed attenuation microstrip attenuators calculations and T-attenuators with thin-film cruciform resistor prototypes experiments are represented. In the frequency range from 0 to 40 GHz T-attenuator attenuation irregularity is no more than 0.1 dB at 6 and 3 dB. Calculations were made considering the device as a combination of microstrip lines with parasitic parameters. L-2L de-embedding technique was used for experiment analysis.

This paper presents results of comparison of dynamic characteristics of single- and double-loop current regulators. It is shown that the second control loop (average mode current control) increases impedance of a current regulator, improves phase margin and reduces settling time as compared with single-loop regulator. Experimental analysis of double-loop current regulator prototype based on full-bridge transformer-coupled converter showed well correspondence with p-spice simulation results.

The paper is devoted to the design of formation of continuous seam by the ultrasonic welding. The base of the device is developed vibrating system consisting of the piezoelectric transducer of longitudinal ultrasonic vibrations with the working tool, which provides the transformation of longitudinal vibrations into radial ones. Designed welder helps to achieve tight joint of thermoplastic materials with different thickness due to the regulation of broaching speed and amount of clearance between the bearing and the working tool.
