This article aims to determine the level of motivation and to build students' interest in speaking Arabic with Japanese to Arabic anime voiceover media, as well as to overcome students' psychological problems. A total of 90 students aged 15-18 years in three educational institutions in Java Island participated in the study. The data were calculated quantitatively descriptively, processed by the Kolmogorov normality test using SPSS 26 and made and analyzed a comparison table of pretest and posttest scores from the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) questionnaire. The results confirmed that there was a significant change in the results of the HARS questionnaire table and the Kolmogorov value with a mean value of 44.04 which was greater than the hypothesis, which was 30.00. The implications of this research can be used as an alternative learning media in increasing motivation and overcoming students' negative psychology in learning Arabic in Indonesia.

This research aimed to demonstrate the distinctive and comprehensive scholarship of the Sufi knowledge structure. The descriptive method and comparative analysis were used in this literature study. Meanwhile, the data were obtained through a review of the literature, which included books, journals, and academic writings with both primary and secondary references. Through in-depth readings, the researchers found that Sufi thought tends to be symbolic and unconventional. They exist in a sort of semantic intensity that is organized by open spiritual experience, which by nature is in alignment with various symbolic objects and their various manifestations by a strong spiritual sense, equipped with imagination and intuition that emanates from the depths of their being. There are numerous sign systems used in the Sufi language that, in terms of functionality, go beyond those used in conventional language. The study's findings suggest that symbols have the following qualities in the intuitive dimension: First, mystical knowledge produces symbols (Gnosticism). The foundation of sufi symbols is the integration of mental, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. Second, the symbolism that Sufis understand is very extensive. The Sufi is endowed with the power to reveal different secrets and inner truths when he reaches the state of mukafah and muhadah. He is capable of understanding sign language's symbolic expressions. Third, symbols offer a wide range of possible interpretations. Symbolism is based on an approach to interpretation that, by accurately reproducing meaning, broadens thought. This talent shows how the Sufi's spiritual level evolved from the sensory level to the level of infinite totality.

The study aimed to identify the phonemic issues that non-Arabic speakers encounter when learning speaking skills. Through collecting linguistic samples, the researchers discovered that the problems related to the phonemic system are among the deepest and the greatest problems in learning the speaking skills. Accordingly, it was necessary to analyze the linguistic level (the phonetic level) for learners of Arabic as a second language, in order to identify the most important problems of the sound system and propose some appropriate solutions. This study used the descriptive analytical method, and relied on interviews via modern technology means like Skype. It was determined that some Arabic sounds are difficult for learners to pronounce. The study's findings led to several recommendations, the most important of which is the requirement that Arabic linguistic sounds be taught to non-native speakers using a graduated system that progresses from easy to difficult. That is, it is necessary to first teach the consonant sounds (baa, taa, jim, thaal, dal, ra, zai, sein, shin, kaf, lam, mim and nun), and put them in easy meaningful words, then teach the emphatic sounds (sad, daad, ta’ and tha’) and use them in a concrete context. After that move to teaching the laryngeal sounds (hamza, haa, aain, ghain, Ha, Xa and qaf), and incorporate them into words that are easy to pronounce. Finally, present the vowels, emphasizing how long and short vowels differ from one another.

The Qur'an, a holy book revealed by Allah SWT, contains the rules and stories of the previous people to strengthen the truth of Islam. In these stories, there is communication between important figures of the previous people, which contains beautiful literary values so that humans easily understand them. One of them is surah al-Kahf which summarizes four important stories: Ashabul Kahf, Owner of two gardens, Musa and Khidlir, and Dzulqarnain, which contain many unusual functional sentences which show the miraculous factor of the Qur'an from a linguistic perspective. This study aimed to reveal communication (speech) acts and the influence of context on word choice and coherence on the principles of speech contained in the story in finding a model of polite speech acts and felt by the interlocutor more lightly. This research was a pragmatic study that used descriptive qualitative methods through a literature review. In order to describe this speech behavior, this study used the speech acts theory developed by Searle. The analysis showed that various speech acts were performed, namely assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative, with a specific form of expression or language.

In recent decades, Instagram has launched a translation feature to help its user understand the caption in every Instagram posts. Its presence also has an impact on its users, including Arabic students. The purpose of this study is to identify the students’ perceptions about the use of these features and to know its impact on their understanding. The data collection technique was carried out in two different stages using a screening model. We distributed questionnaires to 24 Arabic students at Indonesia University of Education to find out the students' experiences while using this feature. The findings show that this feature is convenient, and the translations are quite understandable, but it is not uncommon for them to find translations that do not fit the context because this feature can produce good translations if the source language use the standard language. Most of the students also admitted that this feature affected their insight about translation. It can be used as an interesting learning media to be more creative and increase their motivation and interest in learning Arabic language in daily lives.

The Mimicry-Memorization Method is considered one of the foreign language teaching methods, particularly in teaching vocabularies. It relies on repeating and remembering. The foremost advantages of this method are its’ ability to transfer various kinds of vocabularies, besides it is also last longer in the students’ memory, and is low budget. However, this research assumed that continuous repetition and habituation will cause boredom and even reduce students’ interest in learning a language. So, the study was aimed at designing the learning media based on the Memorization method in the form of flashcards to make learning prosses more fun. This research applied the Research and Development (RD) procedure with partially on the Analysis, Design, and Development. The data was collected through the observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to the teachers and students of the 12th-grade at MAN 10 Jombang. The result showed that the design of the mimimo-flashcard consists of hand-drawn images in the affixed to the-card. It has 10 themes with 9 related-vocabularies for each with 90 vocabulary words in total. The learning media validation from each material’s expert and design’s expert showed 84% and 90% and can be categorized as good and decent. The calculation result of the trials to determine the product's effectiveness in mastering vocabulary for both the Experiment and Control classes was considered effective with sig. (2-tailed) sig.0.05 = 0.000.

21st-century learning requires teachers to integrate technology into learning. Therefore, teachers need to improve their professional abilities in using technology. This research was conducted to obtain the TPACK profile of prospective Arabic language teachers who are currently studying for undergraduate program at Arabic Education department of IAIN Pekalongan. Furthermore, this research is survey research. Accordingly, primary data was collected by distributing questionnaires. In addition, researchers also used observation and documentation. In general, the TPACK for prospective Arabic teachers is categorized as "good". Howevers, there are some aspects that need to be improved, namely Content Knowledge, Pedagogical Content Knowledge, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge itself. In addition, each item with lower value than the total average of all aspects needs to be considered as well. In addition, the results of this analysis provide information related to the TPACK for prospective Arabic teachers that is useful as evaluation material for interested parties, such as Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (LPTK) as an institution in higher education that is assigned to prepare professional teachers.

This article focused on studying the dynamic nahwu learning curriculum developed by Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School for Tahfidz (PPNQ) Jumoyo Salam, Magelang, Central Java. It aimed at describing nahwu learning in the pesantren, focusing on memorizing the Qur'an. The method used was participatory, done by being directly involved in the learning at PPNQ, starting from the design of learning, students placement, building classes, and deciding the books used. Data were collected through observation, limited discussion, and interviews with the teachers, students, and administrators. The study found that the learning dynamics are developed in this pesantren because the curriculum is not yet stable. The dynamics are in the form of students' obligation to present on each subject (book) taught and to memorize at another time. The fact is different from the eras before this dynamic development. It is very interesting considering that the Islamic Boarding School for Tahfidz is known as a pesantren that firmly adheres to the principle of maintaining a tradition that has been going on for decades. Therefore, dynamic observations are also needed regarding subsequent developments.

This research aimed to reveal the roles of Islamic and Arabic literature's history in studying Islamic literature and sciences; Therefore, the reception theory and critical method were used to answer such issues. The reception theory is a discipline that optimizes the roles of readers and interpreters (mufassirīn) in revealing the meaning of Islamic literature and Al-Quran texts. As for the critical method, it is how the readers and interpreters respond, perceive, and interpret the texts of Islamic literary works and Al-Quran, equipped with al-qawā'id wal-ma'ārif, and storage or repertoire (knowledge within the mind of interpreter); Accordingly, the general audiences can comprehensively and contextually understand the text concretization presented by the interpreters. The results showed that analyzing and interpreting Islamic literary text require knowledge related to Arabic literature's history, especially from the early days of Islam to contemporary times. Meanwhile, analyzing and interpreting al-Quran and Hadith texts also require knowledge of Islamic civilization history and other Islamic sciences such as Arabic knowledge (nahwu, sharaf, and balāghah), asbābun-nuzūl (concerning Al-Quran texts), asbābul-wurūd (concerning Hadith texts), and others.
