From research experiences with homeless people, we seek to discuss the possibilities and challenges of the ethnographic and cartographic method, as they have been used in anthropology and psychology, from the perspective of interdisciplinary dialogues and compositions. The precarious living conditions of people on the street, who hang between exclusion and resistance, continually challenged us and imposed reflections on the relations between the researcher, the participants and the institutions in the research field. In this article, we present the premises of a methodological composition that we call “ethnocartographing” in an ethical and political dialogue about the act of research as an affirmation of life. We emphasize that the proposed approach does not translate into methodological techniques, but corresponds to an immersion into the universe of the other in which writing constitutes an important dimension of knowledge production between research and life.

We present a historical and theoretical-methodological panorama of the studies by Grupo de Estudos Pessoa-Ambiente (PeopleEnvironment Research Group, GEPA) and their inclusion in the context of environmental psychology. The authors expressed the theoretical-methodological diversity of the area, presented here in terms of the psychological aspects of the relationships between people, climate change and renewable energy sources, underscoring the invisibility and instantaneity of energy; the psychologysustainability interface, which investigates the psychosocial dimensions of pro-ecological and pro-environmental behaviors; rurality, denoting the scarcity of instrumental and theoretical perspectives that bring psychology and the sociocultural specificities observed closer together; cities, in which studies reveal the tension between the capitalist production of space and the right to the city; and daily settings, which focus on housing, schools and open areas, proposing concepts such as a socioenvironmental image and psychological accessibility. We conclude by showing the connection between group activity and the stresses, developments and challenges faced by the field at the global level.

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of neuropsychology based on the ideas of L.S. Vygotsky and A. R. Luria, with an emphasis on the principle of systemic organization of psychological processes, their ontogenetic development and systemic representation in the central nervous system. The article describes the need for a comprehensive study of neuropsychology, considering its relationship with more global psychological concepts developed by representatives of the historical-cultural concept of mental functions and the theory of activity. This paper considers the need to include neuropsychology in the context of historical-cultural studies and the theory of activity. Finally, it is argued that one of the essential features of historical-cultural neuropsychology is the concept of systemic, dynamic and hierarchical representation of cultural psychological processes.

Evaluation of a socio-cognitive model of job satisfaction in Argentine workers. Many theories have been developed in order to identify the factors that explain job satisfaction. One of them is the Cognitive Social Model of Profession proposed by Lent. This model proposes to integrate affective-dispositional and situational factors (working conditions) with socio-cognitive and behavioural elements, which affect job satisfaction. The purpose of this investigation was to verify the adjustment of the model to the Argentinean context through the analysis of structural equations. The variables included explain 64% of the variability in labour satisfaction. Likewise, most of the paths suggested by this model make a significant contribution to satisfaction, both directly and indirectly. Considering the results obtained, preventive, promotional or solution measures can be proposed for situations of labour dissatisfaction.

Palavras-chave: Abstract Effects of the attributes of the process of change on workers’ attitudes and behaviors: A longitudinal study in a public organization. Few studies that investigate attributes of organizational change (characteristics of the change context) that influence individuals’ attitudes and behaviors. Seeking to contribute to a better structuring of the field, the present article shows a test of mediational model of attitudes towards organizational changes in relation between attributes of change and the behaviors of support and resistance to change. Considering that there are few national longitudinal studies in this area, the moderating effect of time was analyzed through structural equations. For this, a research with longitudinal waves was carried out in a Brazilian public organization. The research model obtained good adjustment indexes. The mediation of attitudes towards organizational change was partially corroborated and the moderating effect of time was refuted. The results show action planning in organizational change affects cognitions and affections of individuals, which favors positive behaviors supporting change process. The practical contribution refers to an increase in understanding which factors facilitate the success of organizational changes processes, emphasizing that anticipated actions and preparation of individuals can be fundamental.

Validation of the Brief Sense of Community Index for Rural Poverty Situations in Brazil. The objective is to validate the Brief Sense of Community Index for the Brazilian population in rural poverty. The research is of quantitative delineation of transversal cut through survey. The sample was composed by 1113 people in rural communities of different regions (Northeast, North and South) of Brazil with an average age of 42.25 ( SD = 17.57). The instrument evaluated was the Brief Sense of Community Index proposed by Peterson, Speer and Hughey (2006) based on the adaptation of the Sense of Community Index of the Perkins, Florin, Rich, Wandersman and Chavis (1990). Exploratory Factorial Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factorial Analysis (AFC) were carried out. It was identified that the scale carries excellent psychometric indices, rotating in a unifatorial way and differing from the original structure. It was conceived that this brief instrument is suitable for rural contexts in poverty because of the specificities of this reality and this population.
