This study investigated the role of dynamic processors in audio processing and music production and the effects of different types of design on the audio signal. It has been tried to give information about the designs and parameters of dynamic processors. In order to create the sound sample analyzed within the scope of the study, a mono sample recording was taken from the virtual instrument plug-in. The sound sample taken from the bass guitar model was preferred in order to contain all the general envelope structure features of an audio signal. In this direction, the sound sample was chosen from the virtual instrument in order to keep it away from external factors during the recording stages and to make the work repeatable and developable. It is used as basic tools for dynamic processors to control and balance audio signals and create sensory effects. In this context, the effects of compressors in the dynamic processor class and their basic parameters and different design types on the audio signal are examined. Differences in tonal characteristics and dynamic changes of different compressor designs have been observed. In this context, the effects of FET, VCA, Vari-Mu, Optical and Digital compressor plug-ins on the audio signal were analyzed and the results were presented. These analyzes can provide guidance for the selection of different compressor designs for lecturers, students, and those interested in and working in the field of music technology. In future studies, the role of different music genres, instruments and recording conditions on the effects of compressor designs can be explored more deeply, and more comprehensive results can be reached by collecting experimental data and using machine learning techniques.

With the Crusaders taking Jerusalem in 1099, the city became a crucial centre for Christians. Since then, many pilgrims have come to visit the city. During the time when Jerusalem was under the rule of the Crusaders (1099-1187), many maps depicting the city were drawn. The general name of these maps, which show Jerusalem under the rule of the Crusaders, is Crusader Maps, and there are different types. However, what they have in common is that all of these maps are drawn very schematically. There are fourteen Crusader Maps of Jerusalem identified today. Although 11 of these maps is in the form of a round, it is thought that they were drawn or copied in the 13th and 14th centuries. Maps reflect the general characteristics of the period in which they were drawn. The article is based on the general features of these maps, known as the Crusader Maps, how the city of Jerusalem was depicted in the aforementioned period and the examination of the urban texture.

Playing the violin, a stringed instrument, requires the ability to apply many difficult techniques, very good bow control, and excellent right hand technique. For this reason, most violin pedagogues and authorities have given more importance to right and left hand techniques. However, left hand technique is as important as right hand technique and consists of masny sub-headings. These include the use of positions on all strings, double stops, triple and quadruple chords, natural and artifical harmonics, double stop harmonics, trill, double stop trill, vibrato, glissando, left hand tremolo and left hand pizzicato. In order to perform all these left hand techniques correctly, the left hand must be positioned in the correct position on the violin neck. Francesco Geminiani developed a technical application known as Geminiani Grip for the correct positioning of the left hand. In this study, Geminiani Grip will be examined in detail, examples from other violin authorities influenced by Geminiani will be given and exercises written in the light of this practice will be analyzed.

This research was conducted to determine the classroom management competencies of special education teachers working in special education schools. The study group of the research consists of 25 special education teachers working in three different types of special education schools in Üsküdar district of Istanbul. The participants of the study were determined by the maximum diversity method. The data were obtained with a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher by taking expert opinion. The following questions were asked to the teachers: “As a teacher working in special education schools, what is your competence in managing the physical environment?” “As a teacher working in special education schools, what is your ability to carry out education and training in a healthy way?” “As a teacher working in special education schools, what is your ability to use time effectively and efficiently?” “As a teacher working in special education schools, what is your competence in communicating effectively with students?”, “What is your competence in managing student behavior as a teacher working in special education schools?” questions were posed. According to the research, it has been observed that the most important issue that teachers pay attention to while managing the physical environment is the characteristics such as the type of disability and behavioral problems of the students. It has been observed that the way for teachers to carry out education and training in a healthy way is to determine the performance of students, to prepare individualized education plans, activities and materials suitable for their performance and individual differences. It has been determined that teachers prepare lesson plans, activities, methods, techniques and materials in advance in order to use time effectively and efficiently while managing the classroom. It has been determined that the teachers determine the communication method according to the student's characteristics in terms of communicating effectively with the students. It has been observed that teachers prepare behavior change plans while managing student behaviors, use reinforcements for the continuity of positive behaviors, use methods such as ignoring to extinguish negative behaviors, and also determine the classroom rules. According to the findings, the most common problems in classroom management were determined as "student's behavior problems", "inadequate physical conditions of the classroom", "program density", "different learning levels of the students ", "lack of family support". In the classroom management process, the physical conditions of the classrooms should be improved, equipment deficiencies should be eliminated, and material diversity should be increased. Teachers should be supported, and the content and number of in-service trainings should be increased for the development of teachers.

The interaction between research and development (R&D) investments and firm performance has been extensively studied in the academic literature. However, these studies have produced different findings by proposing various models to explain the relationship between R&D and firm performance. The inconsistency in findings can be partly attributed to limitations in the use of traditional linear modeling methods that do not fully capture the complex dynamics of this relationship. Using data on 31,205 firms and 434,016 observations in G20 countries over the period 2000-2022, this paper considers the Sigmoid (S) curve model, which aims to reconcile the differences in the literature and provide a more comprehensive view of the R&D performance relationship. The findings reveal a non-linear relationship between R&D intensity and firm performance and the validity of the S-curve model. Specifically, the R&D-performance relationship shows a negative slope at low levels of R&D investment, a positive slope at medium levels, and a negative slope again at high levels. These results suggest that the impact of R&D investments on firm performance varies depending on the level of investment. Moreover, the study reveals that this 3-stage S-curve relationship is consistent for firms with low firm size and low leverage, and that such firms are particularly affected by an increase in R&D investment. Finally, the findings show that this relationship holds both between developed and developing countries and between countries following Anglo-Saxon and Continental European law. However, this relationship is more pronounced in Anglo-Saxon and developing countries than in Continental European and developed countries.

Euthanasia; It has been a subject that has been discussed from various perspectives, especially in recent years. Euthanasia, which has a wide framework in itself with its meaning, scope, problems and solutions, often appears with its ethical dimension. There is a multifaceted debate on euthanasia in terminally ill patients, irreversible neurology patients, and intensive care patients. In this review, it is aimed to discuss whether passive euthanasia can be considered as a patient's right in the context of the literature in patients with no hope of recovery.
