As an important form of comprehensive utilization of urban underground space, the urban underground business district effectively relieves the land shortage bottleneck in the process of urbanization meeting the requirements of land intensive use. However due to the characteristics of the safety management, major safety accidents have been occurring one after another recently, so it has been a problem urgently to be solved to ensure the safety for it. Via the analyses of existing problems in the safety management, the paper builds up a set of trinity safety management system for urban underground business district based on the application of IOT.

E-government standards are the basis of information sharing, system integration and business interoperability among government agencies. Using institutional theory as an analytical perspective, this study explores the implementation of Information Resource Catalogue and Information Exchange System standards which is one of the important e-government standards in China. Incorporating three distinctive dimensions of institutionalization including coercive, normative and mimetic forces, the study investigates the mechanisms of promoting national e-government standards diffusion and its development process. The findings show that in the implement of national e-government standards, the coercive dimension was most effective. The influencing process sequences are normative, coercive and mimetic mechanisms.

In recent years, there have been many theoretical and empirical researches on commercial real estate. Based on the contents and related theories, we review the research scope, main contents and methods about risk management of commercial real estate. Research scope includes macro study on risks of real estate industry and micro study on risks of enterprises and projects. Research contents mainly concentrate on issues of systematic and idiosyncratic systems, factors affecting risks of commercial real estates, the representative of REITs, diversifying and hedging commercial real estate. Four main methods are used widely, which are CAMP method and its evolution, Value at Risk, Real Options Approach and ARCH approach series. In conclusion, we bring about in-depth study focusing on the systemic risk, idiosyncratic and dynamic correlation of commercial real estate in special industries which may contribute to the theoretical study and the practice on risk management of commercial real estate in China's institutional environment in the future.

Urban fast rail transit system represented by the special lines for passenger transportation and the intercity railway will be the one of modernized rail traffic in our country, which will exert great influence on the tourist preference of the urban residents. This thesis taking the residents in Shanghai and Nanjing in the Yangtze River Delta as instance, to study with the questionnaire, analyses the influences of the modernized rail traffic at all aspects on the touring pattern for the urban residents and the frequency to tour, from which comes to the conclusion that the high-speed railway will possibly be the long distance tour, it will produce far reached influence on air traffic. The intercity railway will make the urban residents to tour the limits and frequency of tour.

This paper adopts a Hotelling model to study the container port competition in a so called “dual gateway-port system”, which contains two port cities, and two terminals belonging to the two port cities respectively. The two port governments compete in port dues and the two terminals decide service prices and service qualities. We study two models with different terminal competition intensity: the two terminals are owned by two different operators and the two terminals are centralized under one operator, respectively. In these two models, we derive the port due, terminal service price and service quality equilibria. Through the numerical analysis, we investigate the competition outcome sensitivity.

The application of corporate sustainability in triple bottom line has been a critical issue to enterprises. It is a future trend for enterprises working and self-discoursing on their corporate sustainability, and there are many reports about enterprises' efforts on corporate sustainability in developed economy. The research purpose of this study is (1) to explore the three different industrial sectors' context of factors of Taiwan enterprise which empathizes on corporate sustainability report in economic, environment, and social dimensions, and (2) to understand how different the leaders' viewpoints of enterprises in three different industry sectors toward corporate sustainability are, namely; finance, insurance and real estate; wholesale, retail and catering industry; transport, storage and communication industry. This study applies the text mining as a tool in the information system to explore the annual corporate sustainability reports in Taiwan. As the findings, it can learned that (1) the industrial context of Taiwan enterprises on corporate sustainability report in economic, environment, and social dimensions; and (2) there are signification differences in leaders' viewpoints in corporate sustainability report from the three different industries sector.

To evaluate the departmental performance in higher education system, we take an example of departments in a large public university in the United States. We include 19 departments for six consecutive academic years (2002-2008). Using both parametric distance function approach and non-parametric Data Envelopment Analysis approach, we estimate the technical efficiency for each department in each academic year. The result shows that social science departments on average are more efficient than natural science departments in terms of saving on input usage. We then estimate the marginal rate of substitution between inputs. We find that holding everything else constant, one faculty member's contribution to the output production is approximately equivalent to that of four graduate assistants. Both parametric and non-parametric analyses provide us with reasonably consistent result.

Modeling the problems facing for further analysis and decision making is often required by service systems and management. A toolbox with up-to-date methodologies may render us more powerful modeling capabilities for better analysis and sounder decisions. Linear conic programming extends the popularly used linear programming models from linearity to non-linearity and from convexity to non-convexity in polynomial-time computations. In this talk, we present the general model, essential concepts, state-of-the art research and illustrative applications of linear conic programming to general audience with basic understanding of the linear programming methodology.

`Connectivity', an emerging metaphor for interactions in and around organizations originating from organizational studies, is known to positively influence the performance of distributed or `virtual' teams. We posed the question of whether there can be too little or too much connectivity between organizational actors, and whether social or technical aspects of connectivity matter most. In this paper, we report on the analysis of the data from our survey gathered from 101 individuals within 75 Indian IT service providers. We explore the relationship between organizational performance (as represented by communication effectiveness and efficiency) and the nature of connectivity among individuals within these service systems. The results show that while having a robust technical infrastructure is important, optimizing the social dimension of connectivity is perhaps more important in the long run, to increase that system's ability to co-create value.
