[Evaluating efficiency of individual protective means for electromagnetic fields in radiofrequency range.] [射频范围内单个电磁场防护措施效能评价]

In Russian Federation, absent regulation document for criteria and methods evaluating screening properties of protective means against radio frequency electromagnetic fields necessitates development of general principles and methods for indivual protective means testing. Findings are that indivual protective means testing are expedient with consideration of measurements in free space and evaluation of absorbed electromagnetic energy in tissue-equivalent phantoms. Screening coefficient should be assessed in several zones corresponding to location of human vital organs.

Contemporary facilities of psychosocial factors use in occupational dorsopathies diagnosis. 现代社会心理因素在职业背病诊断中的应用。

Examination of 648 workers in ore mining and processing enterprises demonstrated role of psycho-social factors in diagnosis and development of occupationally conditioned dorsopathies, revealed the most important occupational and non-occupational factors influencing dorsopathies development. Findings also are clinical and psychologic criteria of health disorders in workers with occupationally conditioned dorsopathies. The authors suggested scientifically justified approaches to preventions of dorsopathies and to workers' health preservation.

Comparative evaluation of clinical, neurophysiologic and laboratory data changes in 154 workers exposed to vibration in mining industry helped to identify the most informative criteria of vibration disease diagnosis. Scientifically justified use of neurospecific parameters - S100B protein and neurospecific enolase - was aimed to evaluate vibration disease severity.

Influence of occupational vibration on development of resistance to insuline and of II type diabetes mellitus. 职业振动对胰岛素抵抗及II型糖尿病发展的影响。

The authors revealed influence of occupational vibration on development of resistance to insulin and of II type diabetes mellitus in miners. With that, increased serum insulin level was diagnosed in the workers. Occurrence of patients with. increased insulin level reaches 70% in vibration disease. The most intensively changed indexes are CARO and HOMA-IR, that identify early latent changes in resistance to insulin. Vibration appeared to influence significantly on II type diabetes mellitus development. Prevalence of II type diabetes mellitus among vibration disease patients is 5 times higher than that in general population of Russian Federation.

[Osteodensitometry in diagnosis of osteoporosis in occupations subjected to vibration.] [骨密度测定在振动职业骨质疏松症诊断中的应用]

The authors present results of X-ray examination of miners working incleaning mine face, subjected to complex of occupational hazards (dust aerosols, physical overexertion) among which local and combined occupational vibration could be the most important from the viewpoint of possible occupational osteopathy. Examinees were males: 60 ones with suspected vibration disease,. 35 ones with diagnosed vibration disease (vegetative sensory polyneuropathy) stage 1 and 30 ones in reference group matched by age and length of service. For osteoporosis diagnosis (according to mineralization level in distal forearms), the authors evaluated possibilities of digital osteodensitometry standard in occupational therapy with digital low-dose X-ray devices.

[Occupational burnout syndrome in workers of radio and television broadcasting center.] 广播电视广播中心职工职业倦怠综合征研究。

Occupational burnout syndrome - an important health risk factor - is seen not only in social occupations, but also in "subject-object" occupation professionals. Complex study of work conditions and health used V.V. Boiko test for assessment of emotional burnout level in radio and television broadcasting center personnel. Considerable share (53,3%) of main occupations workers in radio and television broadcasting center demonstrates high level of occupational burnout (exhaustion phase has developed or is being developed). Median total points of occupational burnout syndrome equalled 123 (74,0; is5,0) that is higher than the similar parameter for many "subject-object" occupations. Emotional defence is manifested by withdrawal from emotional show at work, increased distance in communication with colleagues, at home with relatives, avoidance of work demanding emotional charge. Longer length of service is connected with less open emotions not only in occupational sphere, but outside profession with relatives, friends. The results obtained point to predisposition for lower performance and health disturbances, necessitate consideration of this factor in complex evaluation of work conditions and health of personnel engaged in radio and television communications.
