The aim of the study was to determine the effect of seeds encrustation of sweet corn with a complex based on sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) containing biologically active substances isolated from Linaria genistifolia L. (SG) on laboratory and field germination rates. Treatment of sweet corn seeds with SG solution and encrustation with a complex mixture (CMC 1.0% + SG 0.01%) enhanced the starting reactions of germination processes, to increase the germination energy and roots growth in laboratory tests, as well as to improve resistance to adverse climatic conditions in the field.

In the article there are discussed some biological and agronomical features of new perspective varieties of apricot, created in RIHAT or introduced in the Republic of Moldova. Based on evaluated level of adaptabilitity and large ecological plasticity to variable pedo-climatic conditions of local culture variety Vasile Cociu and Codrean there are registered for industrial culture. Some introduced foreign varieties (Wondercot, Orange Red, Tsunamy, Big Red, Faralia, Farbaly, etc.) also there are proposed for limited tests in different pomological zone of country. Noticed genotypes are proposed also for utilization within future apricot breeding programs.

A pot experiment under controlled soil moisture conditions was accomplished with the aim to assess the effect of rhizobacteria application Bradyrhizobium japonicum alone or in conjuction with Pseudomonas putida strain on symbiotic system development of soybean in relation to phosphorus and manure fertilization under temporary drought conditions. Mineral and organic fertilizers were applied during filling pots with soil. A half of plants were subjected to moderate drought for 12 days at flowering stage. The experimental results showed that number of nodules increased after rhizobacteria application under mineral as well as under organic fertilization irrespective of soil moisture levels. The highest effect of rhizobacteria was registered in plants under normal irrigation conditions. Experimental data find out that combined application of two rhizobacteria strains displayed synergic effect on nodules development. Thus, the results suggested that application of B. japonicum and Pseudomonas putida strains as biofertilizer contributed to enhance tolerance of soybean plants and promote nodules development under water limited conditions.

The study established different reactions of the growth characters of the autumn common wheat seedlings to the treatment of seeds of genotypes Moldova 614, Moldova 66 and L Selania / Accent with the culture filtrates of the strains of Alternaria alternata, Drechslera sorokiniana and Fusarium solani. The 3 strains of the F. solani pathogen produced concomitant repression of root and stem in Moldova 614 and Moldova 66, but differentiated in L Selania / Accent, being identified as the most aggressive in this study. The highest sensitivity was recorded by L Selania / Accent in the case of the root under the action of Alternaria alternata strains.

The scope of the research was to determine the efficiency of the combined effect of fungicides and the biostimulator Reglalag in the protection of apple orchards from apple scab disease. The introduction of a biostimulator into the tank mixture with fungicides allowed us to reduce by half the quantity of synthetic plant protection products. This combination allows us to reduce the cost of plant protection, reduces the negative impact of the fungicides on environment, and increases the economic efficiency of apple cultivation.

Low efficiency of plant protection means is explained by the lack of a centralized forecasting system for the terms to carry out protective measures, lack of modern methods of obtaining primary data for making up reliable short-term forecasts for the development and spread of pests in agricultural agrocenoses. During last years investigations cowering the elaboration of new systems of integrated plant protection became more active by utilization biorational means of plant protection, and electro optic installations. A great attention is accords to elaboration and selection of sources- attractants and new electro optic structures whice must show a high attractively due to a specific irradiation spectrum and, thus, provide a maximum trapping of harmful insects. Application of the light traps is a more perfect method for phenology investigation of many important, in an economic aspect plant pest, and results of insects gathering can by used for elaboration short-term prognoses of insect pests development for rendering more precise the terms for craning out of protection measures. Further the light traps for insect can be used as an independent mean for plant pest combating. In combination with other methods to combat the use of light traps significantly reduces the number of flying pests, and thus caused them harm.

The aim of this work was to test the seeds of the Kuyalnik variety (harvest of 2019) for the presence of pathogens of the genera Fusarium, Myrothecium, Alternaria, Penicillium, and Aspergillus by molecular genetic methods (PCR, nested-PCR). The use of species-specific primers for these pathogens allowed to detect 6 species of Fusarium (F. verticillioides, F. avenaceum, F. oxysporum, F. equiseti, F. sporotrichioides, F. incarnatum) in the seeds of the disease-resistant variety of winter wheat. It was found that the seeds of this variety of winter wheat also contained a large amount of Alternaria alternata, and a trace amount of Penicillium spp. Phytopathogens of the Myrothecium spp. genus and of the Aspergillus parasiticus were not identified in the DNA isolated from the seeds of the winter wheat variety Kuyalnik. The presence of such a diversity of fungal pathogens in the seeds of the resistant winter wheat variety Kuyalnik requires treatment of seeds with fungicides.

We have investigated the phytostimulating properties of Rheum officinale Baill. (Polygonaceae) root and leaves water-ethanol extracts and Azadirachta indica A. Juss. (Meleaceae) seed oil extract, which contain a wide range of bioactive substances. Experiments to determine the effect of treatment with extracts of Cucumis sativus seedlings were carried out in laboratory conditions. The composition V6 (1%R + 0,5%L) showed the maximum phytostimulating effect, which increased the plant height by 34,5%, and the number of flowers by 89,6%.

24 varieties of potato were received from three scientific –research and breeding institutions in Ukraine. They were tested during 2016-2019. There were separated 4 varieties resistant to all causative agents of wart: Glazurna, Strumok, Solocha and Chortytsa, 14 are resistant to 11 (Mizhgirya) agent of wart;10 – to 13 (Rachiv);8 - to 18 (Yasynia); 11 – to 22 (Bistrets). The following potato varieties have a complex resistance to wart are recommended for the implementation in disease sources. The breeders are proposed to use them as donors for the wart resistance interbreeding and receiving the resistant posterity.
