By presenting how African cosmogony and cosmovision operate and are systematized as contributions to literary and historiographical criticism in Latin America, this article tries to enhance the visibility of the African experience in the aforementioned continent. Stemming from the articulation of concepts such as cimarronaje (Mendes 2019) and Inscritura (Queiroz 2007), the intention underlying the study of Nicolás Guillén’s poetry (1959) is to present how son’s aesthetic-performing intelligence is articulated as a genuine Afro expression in Latin American literature and societies. Reflected on the purpose that highlights the motivations of Southern Epistemologies, by bringing the traditional and sapiential fundaments that brought Africa and America closer, the study highlights the importance and centeredness of ancestral heritage.

experimental positivo significativo Abstract: The research aimed to determine, through a quasi-experimental study, the overall and differential effects of a programmatic experience in the development of critical thinking skills on reading comprehension levels of performance of 57 eight-graded elementary school students. The intervention program was designed based on the theoretical and practical postulates of authors such as Mathew Lipman, Richard Paul and Linda Elder, who give to the Socratic questioning a fundamental role in the evaluation and analysis of the reasoning that takes place in the reading comprehension process. The study unveils that only the experimental group shows a positive and statistically significant change in the overall level of reading comprehension performance and in six of the seven areas evaluated.

Based on data from Spanish of Mexico City, the aim of this study is describing functions of que esto (y) que lo otro as discourse marker and figuring out if it can be considered as a mechanism of vague language or by approximation (Channell; Vigara, Español). Data comes from of three corpora of Spanish of Mexico City which, together, integrate a total of 174 interviews. According to analysis, this discourse marker has three functions: (i) indeterminate enumeration, (ii) indeterminate closure of series, and (iii) replacement of reported speech. Thus, we concluded that que esto (y) que lo otro encodes values which belong to vague language, these values are related with discursive abbreviation, positive politeness, and assertive mitigation, all this thanks to the indeterminate character of this marker.

Resumo: O jornalismo literario assume uma importante funcao ao representar temas sociais que sao motivo de reflexao. Uma dessas tematicas e a violencia, que esta presente de forma profunda no territorio brasileiro e que acomete determinados grupos de maneira mais intensa. Sendo assim, este estudo investiga o romance-reportagem O massacre, de Eric Nepomuceno, que aborda o modo como integrantes do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra (MST) sofrem acoes de crueldade. O percurso da escrita tem como base a metodologia da literatura comparada e e constituido por pesquisa bibliografica em consonância com analise interpretativa. Os resultados indicam que o jornalismo literario brasileiro, a partir da obra estudada, representa os acontecimentos violentos atribuindo voz e identidade aos sujeitos, estruturando uma narrativa com detalhamento e conducao a criticidade. Abstract: Literary journalism has an important role in representing social issues which motivates broad reflections. One of these themes is violence, which is deepley present in Brazilian territory and affects certain groups more intensely. Thus, this study investigates Eric Nepomuceno’s novel-report O massacre, which addresses how members of Landless Workers Movement (MST) suffer cruelty. The methodology is based on comparative literature and consists of bibliographical research along with interpretive analysis. The results indicate that Brazilian literary journalism, considering the book being studied, represents violent events, giving voice and identity to the subjects, structuring a narrative with details and leading to criticality. Resumen: El periodismo literario tiene un papel importante en la representacion de cuestiones sociales que son motivo de reflexion. Uno de estos temas es la violencia, que esta profundamente presente en el territorio brasileno y que afecta con mayor intensidad a determinados grupos. Asi, este estudio investiga la novela-reportaje O massacre, de Eric Nepomuceno, que aborda como los miembros del Movimiento de Trabajadores Sin Tierra (MST) sufren crueldad. El curso de redaccion se basa en la metodologia de la literatura comparada y consiste en la investigacion bibliografica en linea con el analisis interpretativa. Los resultados indican que el periodismo literario brasileno, a partir del trabajo estudiado, representa los hechos violentos, dando voz e identidad a los sujetos, estructurando una narrativa con detalles y conduciendo a la criticidad.

: The saltpetter working class in the North of Chile produced a strong and spirited laborer movement. One of the first ones in Latin America. Also it developed an intense cultural activity through the theater and, above all, it wrote working class poetry later printed on newspaper. They also organized themselves in religious dance groups to attend La Tirana and San Lorenzo festivities. Both activities were produced after labour routine time. The night sheltered them. We study these relationships in as much activity reports formed in different horizons and sometimes complementary. An enlighted working class man and a working class pilgrim who shared a similar job.

Through ancestral discourse as a theoretical operator, this essay was built to reflect the poetic paths pregnant with knowledge. Objective : to analyze the rhetorical and discursive features of communication research articles published in Spanish. Methodology : it was a genre analysis that integrated the methodological premises of the New Rhetoric School, the Swalesian Model and the Multiperspective Genre Analysis Model. Results : The predominant structure was Introduction-Methodology-Results-Results-Conclusions (I-M-R-C). Some linguistic realizations of moves and steps are included to illustrate writing practices. Conclusions : the analysis of the movements and steps of these sections showed that there are features that differentiate communication research articles from other discursive communities. There is a need for new studies to know other discursive features of this community and its genres. Those studies will be helpful for novel researchers and writers' training.
