In this article I propose that the poetic and visual texts La luz que me ciega by Malú Urriola and Paz Errázuriz and Instalaciones de la memoria by Verónica Zóndek and Patricio Luco maintain artistics and politicals proximities that stands on the interdisciplinary dialogue between poetry and photography. Based on this co-presence between word and image, I also propose the performative construction of different artistic-political frontiers that both texts share, which are configured as politics of inclination since they respond critically to the scopic and linguistic regimes that impose what is allowed to be seen and known.

In this paper, we analyze the ethics of care from a feminist perspective considering the nonfictional work The Turquoise Legde: A Memoir, by Leslie Marmon Silko. Silko belongs to the indigenous community of Laguna Pueblo, located in New Mexico (USA). In addition to narrating stories about the author’s ancestors, the work addresses with the need for harmony between the elements of nature, animals, plants, and human beings and the various ecosystems, something that is fundamental for all species to live. Considering the theoretical contribution of the studies of ethics, morality, care theory, ecology, feminism, and rights of nature studies, in the analyzed work, the moral relationship and care from a feminist perspective corroborates an ethics of care that expands the universalization of a gender ideal to be employed in its practices, whether in human or non-human relations and the surrounding environment.

: This research aimed to establish the association between repetition skills and lexical development. A longitudinal design was used that included measurements at 21, 24 and 30 months. Twelve infants from the region of La Araucanía participated, who were evaluated with the MacArthur Communicative Development Inventory MCDI 2 and word and nonword repetition tasks. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between expressive vocabulary and repetition, especially of nonwords. A main effect was obtained from the variables lexical status, syllable length and time, in addition to an interactive effect between the last two. Individual variability was observed in the sample. The results obtained are discussed in the light of similar studies on linguistic development and repetition of words and nonwords.

This article shows the relationship that Carlos Pezoa Véliz’s poetry develops with the popular and marginal Valparaiso world, especially with the population from the city center close to the port and the port itself. In this perspective, the historic and cultural context of the poet life in Valparaíso is analyzed and the main features in the poems “Vida de puerto” and “Alma chilena”, written in different moments (1903 and 1908). In both texts, a change is shown which goes from a naturalistic and picturesque imaginary in the first poem, to the presentation of a narrator who identifies with an individual and collective popular world, in the second. During this evolution, the poetic characters are transformed into dissident voices which produces a novelty and original writing into the modern Chilean poetry.

This article presents an exploration of the evaluative potential of graduation resources in Chilean written Spanish in the field of history. In particular, this work analyses the interpersonal meanings of the subsystem of GRADATION , FORCE and FOCUS , which operate in the discursive semantic stratum of language, as part of the APPRAISAL system, within the framework of the Systemic Functional Linguistic theory. These resources work by accumulation in texts and contribute to the construction of evaluative prosodies. The main findings can be summarized as: i ) predominance of graduations of FORCE by quantification or intensification over graduations of FOCUS ; ii ) evident privilege of the meanings of FORCE as [scope: time]; iii ) acting of graduation on inscribed and invoked evaluative instances; and iv ) functioning of graduation within nominalizations or ideational grammatical metaphors.
