- It is difficult to measure economic progress. In spite of its great predominance, the GDP constitutes an insufficient well-being measure, because economic progress does not guarantee the improvement of human development. Among the many alternatives proposed, it is worth to highlight the “Theory of Capabilities” by Martha Nussbaum (Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences, 2012). This article explains how this theory has been applied in an innovation teaching project of the subject “Principles of Economy” in the “Grade of Political Science and Public Management”. The aim is that students relate economics and economic growth to social justice, sustainability and equality.

- Recently, the use of multimedia material has become a common practice in the classes, as it allows that the students are able to maintain and improve class attention, as well as to understanding better all the concepts acquired. In this sense, we have carried out a video in Spanish, Valencian and English of the practical class of Cardiac Auscultation taught in the Medical Degree and in other related degrees within the Health Sciences. The video was made in the three languages used (Spanish, English and Valencian) in the Medicine Degree groups. It is a clinical physical examination procedure widely used in the clinic field, but at the same time it presents some difficulty for the student. The objectives are to learn to accurately locate the cardiac auscultation foci (mitral, aortic, tricuspid and pulmonary) and to recognize each of the heart sounds. This multimedia material allows students to maintain and improve attention in class and increase their learning capacity, as has been shown in the surveys carried out. Nowadays, its use is an aid for students who have to carry out this practice in a non-face-to-face way.

- Down syndrome students (DS) present difficulties and common characteristics in learning, making it necessary to adapt the teaching processes to their own characteristics. In this sense, technologies can help in the teaching-learning process, but instructional methods and techniques are necessary that integrate it correctly and facilitate their participation. This article presents an instructional framework of good practices for the teaching process in special education. For this, a field study has been carried out through a survey specifically designed for entities that will work in the social or educational field with people with Down syndrome. A quantitative and qualitative analysis of the collected data was subsequently carried out. The main results indicate the importance of integrating the use of technology, using few theoretical contents and many examples, with logical sequences, providing autonomy to the student. The results also demonstrate the importance of repeating the exercises and supporting the classes with the use of the blackboard and presentations to reinforce the message. The teaching method is usually very flexible and adaptable to the specificity of the student.

de unidades se realizará un test para evaluar los conocimientos y motivación previos en ambos grupos. Posteriormente a la experiencia didáctica, se realizará un nuevo test que permitirá comparar la evolución de cada grupo y entre ellos. Se esperan obtener resultados positivos que relacionen la propuesta didáctica con el Abstract - A didactic unit is proposed in which Moorish orange tree, a local variety of orange tree characteristic of the town where the study is carried out (Hornachos, Spain), is used as a tool to increase interest in learning botany and the value and natural wealth of the local environment. It is intended to evaluate the importance of using “local contents”, taking advantage of the ethnographic heritage of each place. To this end, a didactic unit is implemented based on the official contents but in which activities and examples focus on the Moorish orange tree of Hornachos. To assess the possible advantages, a control group is taken, in which a similar design unit is delivered, but using as reference other more generic species. Prior to the development of these units, a test is carried out to evaluate previous knowledge and motivation in both groups. After the didactic experience, a new test is delivered to allow to compare the evolution of each group and between them. Positive results are expected to relate the didactic proposal to the increase in meaningful learning and the value of the wealth of its own environment.

This work describes the adaptation process of the Senior University (University of A Coruña) to a blended teaching-learning model, in the academic year 2020/2021, motivated by the health emergency situation due to COVID. On the one hand, the needs of our teaching staff and, on the other hand, the training needs of our students, who had to break the technological barrier and to incorporate new technologies in order to attend classes, were taking into account in the scheduling process. The work includes the results of surveys to teachers and students at the beginning, a description of the new specific training program “Present, Science, Health and Life”, and finally, an analysis of satisfaction with the new program from the point of view of all the agents involved: teachers, students and management team of the Senior University. Both teachers and students are, in general, very satisfied with the blended model that will remain in the following courses as a training complement to face-to-face teaching.

- YouTube has become an audiovisual platform linked to teaching-learning processes. The objectives of this practice of educational innovation are to improve student learning, encourage an approach to the use of digital tools within the classroom among students and stimulate their motivation, generating group interaction and collaboration. Through YouTube, teachers select a set of audiovisual materials related to advertising campaigns and films to be analyzed by the student through a methodological practiced divided into phases to promote learning progressively. The sample universe is made up of 158 students from the Rey Juan Carlos University and the methodology has been applied to the subjects “Sociology of Deviation” and “Communication Processes in Advertising, Public Relations and Audiovisual”. Based on the results obtained, it is found that the teaching innovation experience carried out by the students was useful and beneficial, generating motivation and cooperation among them, in addition to fostering their critical and abstract capacity. It is proposed, as a result of the excellent academic results obtained, the continuity of the application of this methodology for the development of the subjects mentioned in future courses.

- New technologies accentuate a generational and cultural gap while offering new possibilities and creating risks for today's youth. It is common to consider the use of ICT as a factor in reducing school performance. Objective: This research measures the possible gender differences in the use and frequency of the new Information and Communication Technologies in high school students. It also explores its possible association with a decrease in school performance. Material and methods: Sequential random sample of 72 Spanish high school students of both sexes, aged between 16 and 18 years, ICT users in their daily leisure habits. The statistical tests used were Student's “t” and bifactorial ANOVA. Results: Greater use of internet and mobile phones in girls, and video games in boys. Weak and negative relationship between performance and addiction. Conclusion: Gender differences are found in the type of device used. No significant gender differences were found in the development of an ICT addiction picture. No performance decrease is attributed to any individual in the school sample due to daily connections for leisure to ICT.
