The purpose of the article is to analyze the main documents on the educational policy of the Republic of Estonia and their impact on foreign language training in this country. The main Estonian legislative documents in the field of education, such as the Education Act, the Higher Education Act, and legislative documents on foreign language policy, such as: Education Strategy 2021-2035 and the Estonian Language Development Plan 2021-2035. Their functioning and impact on professional foreign language training in the country are described. It is planned to switch to Estonian as the language of instruction in all educational institutions by 2030. A language inspectorate will be involved to monitor language learning and the language of instruction. By the end of school, students will be expected to reach the level of independent user of at least two foreign languages. Professional foreign language training (ESP) is limited to certain academic fields, and the number of specialized foreign language courses is constantly growing in line with the needs of the state. The qualification framework of Estonia is described. There are two types of higher education institutions in Estonia: universities and higher vocational education institutions. Methodology. Аnalysis is used to describe the impact of russification on the state of language policy in the historical context. During the Soviet era, repressions were used against Estonian education and language, and the Russian-speaking population was resettled to Estonian lands, just as it is now in the temporarily occupied Mariupol. The comparative method of research was used, which made it possible to identify the characteristic features of the formation of the education system in this country and to draw a comparison. On the basis of theoretical generalization, conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness and progressiveness of Estonian educational policy. Results. The analysis and systematization of information in this paper is the basis for further research in the field of comparative educational policy. It can be used to find possible ways to adapt some approaches of the Ukrainian educational space. Key words: education, training, Estonia, European integration, language teaching.

Various methods of physical exercises, taking into account the peculiarities of academic workload and the possibility of pauses for physical activity during theoretical classes. Recommendations are given on how to choose the optimal time and intensity of exercises to maximize benefits and minimize fatigue. The results of the study can be used by teachers and students seeking to ensure a balanced approach to learning that promotes not only intellectual development but also physical abilities. This article looks at an innovative approach to physical health and shows how you can combine theory and practice to always have a strong and healthy body. Performing special physical exercises during theoretical classes can effectively prevent diseases of the musculoskeletal system. This approach proves to be simple, accessible, and useful for everyone, especially for those who spend a lot of time sitting in a sedentary position in theory classes or working individually at a computer. That is, students studying at a higher education institution receive not only general and professionally oriented physical and motor training, but also a system of knowledge on the basics of a healthy lifestyle and the theory and methods of physical education. Non-specialized physical education is a level of assimilation of physical culture values, mastery of special knowledge and vital motor actions and, as a result, a level of physical activity and somatic health that allows for the effective formation of physical culture in a young person’s personality. Key words: physical education minute, musculoskeletal system, higher education institution, students, physical exercises, classes.

The article deals with a comprehensive study of the dynamics of the main indicators of the labor market under martial law. In addition, the research focuses on changes in the structure of employees and special attention is paid to the analysis of the wage level. The process of adaptation to new conditions of survival is analyzed, changes in the priority of vacant positions on the market are discussed. This helps determine the level of competition in the labor market and its effectiveness in providing employment. On the other hand, considering the future perspective of development, it is determined that the longer the hostilities continue, the more difficult it will be to maintain stability on the market. A possible list of measures to restore the stabilization of the labor market in the post-war period on the territory of the state is proposed, proposals are made for consideration of changes in legislation and the development of mechanisms for the return of forced migrants, the creation of conditions for the involvement of young people in the labor market and the provision of professional orientation programs, professional development for fast and effective restoration of the labor market and the economy as a whole. Key words: labor market, business adaptation, labor supply and demand, migration, war.

The study aims to investigate the impact of a state of war on employees’ attitudes towards their work and identify the differential psychological features influencing this process. The article’s goal is to develop justified management strategies aimed at mitigating the effects of the state of war on the employees’ mental well-being and supporting their positive work attitudes. The research methodology included anonymous surveys of personnel (1667 respondents), analysis of results using One-Way ANOVA, and multinomial regression analysis. The obtained results emphasize the significance of traits such as friendliness, emotional stability, and openness to new experiences in shaping a positive work attitude during a state of war. The identified correlations between these traits and the impact of the state of war underscore the need for the development of social competencies among the employees. Social factors, such as satisfaction with the team atmosphere, relationships with colleagues and family, and the influence of office conditions and domestic life, also proved essential for shaping work attitudes in a state of war. A supportive work environment and colleague assistance can be crucial for maintaining a positive psychological climate and work efficiency. In the context of managerial recommendations, the research emphasizes the importance of developing employees’ personal qualities, particularly friendliness, and formulating strategies to support social and psychological well-being in the workplace. Managerial interventions should primarily target female employees and those who are unmarried and hold non-managerial positions in the organization. The article makes a significant contribution to understanding the mechanisms of employee adaptation to stressful conditions and proposes specific approaches to managing psychosocial climate in organizations during crisis situations. The findings can be valuable for managers and HR departments seeking to ensure effective personnel management in unstable conditions and enhance overall workplace comfort and motivation. Key words: state of war, differential psychological features, Big Five, five-factor model of personality, attitudes toward work, motivation, demotivation.

The development of competencies is an important aspect for every individual, as it ensures the achievement of high results in work and allows you to perform tasks more efficiently and professionally. In the modern world, there are concordant concepts of “competence” and “competency”, which are interpreted by scientists in different ways. The purpose of this article is to study the origin of the concepts of “competence” and “competency”, to clarify the definitions of each concept and the expediency of using these interpretations by teachers of general secondary education institutions. Conclusions. Establishing the relationship between the concepts of “competence” and “competency”, we consider it appropriate to focus on their distinction. In accordance with the studied interpretations of these concepts, we note that competency is interpreted by a certain institution or the state as a predetermined requirement for knowledge, skills, abilities that a person must have in order to be successful in the required field of activity. In turn, competence is an asset of the individual, which determines the qualitative level of knowledge, skills and the ability to implement them based on one’s own experience, which manifests itself at a critical moment through the ability to find a connection between the situation and knowledge, in making adequate decisions on an urgent problem. It is important to note that competence is directly related to competency, as it specifically outlines a given range of issues in the field of activity that a person should be well versed in, i.e. competent. Thus, competence is a predetermined set of knowledge, skills, and abilities, and competency is actually a qualitative characteristic of the acquisition of this knowledge and skills, which is manifested in the process of practical activity. Key words: competence, competency, language competence, competence-based approach, pedagogical competence, professional competence of a teacher.
