The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis and an empirical study of the peculiarities of the relationship between emotional burnout and the phenomenon of envy among education workers. Psychophysical, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, socio-psychological symptoms of emotional burnout are distinguished. Its development is related both to external factors of the environment and the organization of activities, and to personal characteristics. Envy is a complex psychological phenomenon that is a mechanism of destructive behavior. Having a number of positive functions, envy is mostly interpreted as a negative feeling in society. Envy is determined by the lack of internal worldview and psychological balance, harmony. It occurs in dependent, insecure individuals with problematic self-esteem and a history of psychological trauma. The purpose of the study is to determine the characteristics of the relationship between emotional burnout and the phenomenon of envy among employees of higher education institutions. Scientific novelty. It was found that subjects with the “Envy-hostile” type have less pronounced symptoms of emotional burnout. They expect a more positive attitude from others, are self-confident, have self-acceptance and self-sympathy, and less self-blame. Subjects with the “Envy-distrust” type are characterized by a certain degree of hostility to their own “I”, self-rejection, emphasis on their own shortcomings, inadequate self-esteem and readiness for self-blame, reduced self-interest, expectation of a positive attitude towards them from those around them, and a decrease in self-control. Psychological characteristics of people with different types of envy are one of the factors that influence the development of emotional burnout among employees of higher education institutions, since the attitude towards oneself and the world determines the mental and emotional state of the individual. Conclusions. The results obtained in the study confirmed the proposed hypothesis, namely the assumption that employees of higher education institutions diagnosed with a high level of envy-mistrust are more prone to the development of emotional burnout than employees with pronounced envy-hostility. Key words: emotional burnout, envy, employees of educational institutions.

The purpose of the article is to substantiate a coaching approach that ensures the effectiveness of developing leadership skills of future officers and to provide practical recommendations on the example “peer-to-peer” leadership training in higher military educational institution. The article substantiates that the coaching approach of the leadership skills formation of future officers begins with the establishment and development of relationships between cadets and instructors before providing relevant content that agrees with the stage of leadership development, learning and experience of cadets. The implementation of the coaching approach covers all areas of learning (cognitive, reflective and behavioral) through numerous forms of learning (training, role-playing, simulation games) contributing to carefully organized environment and space conductive to learning. Cadets should see the benefits of the leadership development program contributing to their personal growth. It is established that the purpose of the coaching approach is to create a positive experience for future officers. The result of the coaching approach to training is cognitive growth, development of leadership skills and sustainable behavioral change of future officers. The coaching approach is proven to be based on connection rather than content to build trust and strengthen the social structure between participants. This is done through reflection and building reflective connections that allow sharing and discussing difficult situations. It is summarized that the coaching approach offers a new perspective on leadership development by eliminating the shortcomings of traditional approaches and justifies the emergence of leadership development training programs. The coaching approach puts less emphasis on formal teaching and instead uses discussion, situation solving and emotional storytelling. Future officers develop and apply new knowledge and skills together with instructors and fellow students, developing relationships between them and creating a positive learning environment. The peculiarities of the coaching approach are considered on the example of “peer-to-peer” leadership training. Key words: future officers, cadets, leadership skills, reflection, coaching approach, training, higher military educational institutions.

The study is aimed at identifying the psychological factors of competitiveness of a business organization and determining the directions of organizational activities for their actualization. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that in today’s increasingly competitive environment, an organization should strive to make the most of all available resources and factors that can contribute to its competitiveness among other market players. On the basis of theoretical analysis, the authors develop a model of internal (organizational) and external psychological factors of competitiveness of a market-type organization. The internal psychological factors comprise three relatively independent subsystems: the managerial subsystem (goal setting, decision making, labor incentives, change management), the subsystem of professionally important qualities and the subsystem of organizational interaction (socio-psychological climate and corporate culture). The external psychological factors are divided into two subsystems: the client subsystem based on the consumer psychology and the subsystem of institutional interaction with other organizations. The areas of organizational activities aimed at actualizing internal psychological factors of competitiveness include psychological and managerial counseling; designing processes with due regard for psychological factors; psychological examination of various components of organizational activities: management decisions, key processes; personnel selection and training; formation of a socio-psychological climate and development of corporate culture. In order to gain an external competitive advantage, such organizational practices as consumer research, brand development, market positioning, company image formation, and psychological support of the negotiation process will be appropriate. The results of the study can be used by top managers of organizations in the formation of strategies to improve the competitiveness of the company, psychology specialists to determine the directions of psychological support of organizational processes. Key words: business organization, competitiveness, psychological factors, management system, professionally important qualities, organizational interactions, interaction with consumers.

The article analyzes the parameters of psychological health of the personnel of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine during martial law. The study was conducted in the summer of 2023. The respondents were employees of penitentiary institutions from different interregional departments (N=127). The questionnaires “Mental Health Stability – Short Form” and “Modified BBC Subjective Wellbeing Scale” were used. We consider psychological health to be a dynamic state of internal well-being of an individual that ensures its optimal functioning. It is shown that prosperity as the highest degree of psychological health is more pronounced in middle managers, and the most depressed are freelance workers. Those with junior and senior managerial status occupy an intermediate position. The highest rates of psychological health parameters were recorded for personnel of both sexes, such as a sense of meaning in life and its interest. Women have a statistically significantly higher assessment of warm, trusting relationships with others. The lowest scores were recorded by respondents of both sexes in the following parameters: faith in people, faith in improving social conditions for life, and assessment of their contribution to society. For men, the most important thing for maintaining psychological health is a sense of their own importance for social life, as well as the experience of their own competence as an ability to solve everyday problems and manifest their life position. For women, the ability to lead a life that is meaningful in their own estimation and to be satisfied with their relationships is more important for maintaining psychological health. As the length of holding a service position increases, men are characterized by an increased sense of self-worth and satisfaction with team relationships, while women are characterized by a high level of professional competence. The results can be used by psychologists to provide more effective psychological support to the personnel of the SCES of Ukraine. Key words: psychological health, subjective social well-being, subjective well-being, penitentiary institutions, martial law.

The purpose of the study is the process of critical thinking development based on the study of educational material on logic by students of higher education. The research methodology is based on modern educational and scientific approaches to the development of thinking, the development of critical thinking, active cognition and assessment of the environment, the ability to analyze business situations and problems, the development of professional skills for making current and strategic management decisions, etc. Scientific novelty: it has been proven that the condition for the development of critical thinking of students of higher education is the study of logic, solving problematic tasks. Conclusions. Classes in logic provide a wide range of necessary problem tasks for the development of critical thinking of students of higher education. Tasks in logic can involve both elementary calculations and tasks with complex calculations, both illustrative examples and sophisticated abstractions, long searches from the “general” and instant concentration of a large amount of information in the thesis, generally accepted stereotypes and the search for a solution to problem situations. The main condition for the development of critical thinking in logic classes should be the solving of a task constructed in a certain way by students. A logic task can be standard or non-standard, mathematical or not so much. The main thing is that a non-standard logical task should have some kind of surprise in it, should have an original character – whether it is an unusual condition of the task, an original idea, an unexpected solution. The ability to see the depth of the task, to distinguish the main from general details is important for solving this type of tasks. Logic contributes to sharpening the skills of rational analysis, critical evaluation of the information flow. Logic is a necessary tool for the development of a person’s critical thinking. Key words: critical thinking, logic, student of higher education, professional education, information.
