The article examines the peculiarities of the welfare state model, which has been constantly changing, transforming, having different options for implementation, going through a crisis and post-crisis development. It is determined that only the state, in the policy of the welfare state, acts as a guarantor of social rights and opportunities for its citizens. The author reveals the types of welfare models and their main characteristics that determine the peculiarities of social policy implemented by countries. It is established that the model of the “welfare state” has experienced an economic, ideological and philosophical crisis, which has led to the need to update and modernize the conceptual foundations of its implementation. The author proves that changes in the country’s social policy allow for a clear distinction between programmatic retrenchment and systematic retrenchment, i.e., reduction of social programs or reduction of social expenditure financing in the welfare state model. The author reveals the typology of models of management of the state social policy, in particular: pluralistic, corporate, Marxist and elite models. It is proved that the main social task of the state’s economic policy is “not to distribute benefits, but to ensure the conditions of freedom and independence of individuals who are able to create these benefits and take care of themselves and their families on their own”. The modern version of the socio-economic model of the “welfare state” is to create conditions that will ensure the synergy of market self-regulation and state intervention, and can be implemented in the areas of economic freedom and personal development. In addition, the areas of development of the welfare state are: risks and innovations, social solidarity, social justice, lifelong support, distribution of difficulties between generations, which is part of the concept of sustainable development. It is established that the transformation of the welfare state model leads to a change in the mechanisms and instruments for its implementation, in particular: universalization of social expenditures; policy coherence between social, economic and environmental aspects of development; search for inclusive forms of its implementation and partnership between the State, civil society and business; identification of new directions in global and regional social policy. It is established that the choice of implementing the “welfare state” model depends on the historical, socio-cultural and economic conditions prevailing in a country and is determined by the type of its socio-political system, ideological and spiritual principles, and the peculiarities of the stage of development. Key words: welfare, state, models of the welfare state, social justice, social security.

Preschool children who are raised and educated by qualified specialists tend to have better academic performance in school and overall in life. Therefore, the quality of training for future preschool educators is of paramount importance today, as their professionalism is key to the successful development not only of preschoolers but also of society as a whole. A crucial indicator of the quality of such training is the satisfaction of students with the quality of educational services they receive. The aim of the article is to explore the level of satisfaction of bachelor students at the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic» specializing in 012 «Preschool Education» with the quality of the educational component of their professional training. Methodology. The article argues a direct correlation between student satisfaction with educational services and their motivation to learn. Using the example of the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic», the level of satisfaction of future bachelor students specializing in preschool education with the educational component of their professional training was investigated. Analysis methods, control questions, data selection, systematization, and comparison were utilized through data collected via Google Forms. The calculation of students’ satisfaction levels with each discipline taught at the university was conducted in percentages. The survey results for each question on every discipline included in the survey were summarized and consolidated into a single table. Certain aspects requiring improvement to enhance student satisfaction with the educational component of their professional training were identified. Conclusions. The research results showed that future bachelor students specializing in preschool education are generally satisfied with the quality of the educational component of their professional training. The obtained results can be beneficial for teachers and university administration to make changes in educational programs and improve the overall quality of the educational process. Key words: bachelor, preschool education, quality of training, Google Forms, survey, National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic».

The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis and an empirical study of the features of the influence of social-psychological training on the self-esteem of students of higher education. Adolescence is a period of transformation of consciousness and self-awareness of an individual, which contribute to the formation of a new attitude towards oneself, the development of a global, general, holistic self-esteem. Self-esteem begins to be based on the conformity of behavior, own views, beliefs, and performance results. This creates conditions for the formation of such an attitude towards oneself, which is sufficiently independent of the evaluations of others, successes and failures, and situational influences. The purpose of the study is to determine the specifics of the influence of social-psychological training on the self-esteem of students of higher education. Scientific novelty. In order to optimize the self-esteem of students of higher education, a socio-psychological training was developed, the purpose of which is to create conditions for optimizing the self-esteem of students of higher education. After the training, the number of subjects with adequate self-esteem increased, the self-esteem of such personal qualities as conscientiousness, independence, sensitivity, benevolence, independence, emotional stability, conscientiousness, courage, self-confidence and self-control increased. Conclusions. Socio-psychological training is an effective tool for forming self-esteem in youth. It can be argued that social-psychological training significantly influenced the self-esteem of students of higher education, it is effective and can be recommended for use in the process of psychological support of educational activities in institutions of higher education to optimize the self-esteem of students. Key words: self-esteem, socio-psychological training, higher education students.

The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis and an empirical study of the features of the relationship between emotional burnout and suicidal risk in military personnel. The analysis of the psychological literature on the problem showed that the activities of the military take place in special, extreme conditions associated with a threat to people’s lives and health. It makes higher demands on the personality of the military man, his moral-willed, emotional, intellectual qualities, which creates an increased load on the specialist’s adaptive systems. Over time, there is an accumulation of negative states, which leads to the development of various professional deformations and destructions. One of the manifestations is the syndrome of emotional burnout, the consequence of which can be the appearance of suicidal thoughts and behavior. The purpose of the study is to determine the characteristics of the relationship between emotional burnout and suicidal risk in military personnel. Scientific novelty. The conducted research revealed that all symptoms of emotional burnout in military personnel are in the stage of formation. Among suicidal motivation, the most pronounced complexes are: anesthetic, anemic, altruistic and autopunitive. The least pronounced are instrumental and heteropunitic. The most pronounced anti-suicidal motivational complexes are: final uncertainty, ethical complex, moral and salutary. The least expressed are aesthetic, narcissistic and religious. The most pronounced diagnostic concepts of suicidal risk are: anti-suicidal factor, demonstrativeness, social pessimism and maximalism. The least pronounced is the breaking of cultural barriers. Conclusions. The analysis of the features of the relationship between emotional burnout and suicidal risk showed that the formation of emotional burnout syndrome significantly increases the level of suicidal risk in military personnel. Psychologists need to develop effective means of preventing emotional burnout in military personnel. Key words: emotional burnout, autoaggressive behavior, suicidal behavior, military personnel.

Recently, a lot of attention in society has been paid to the problem of bullying. Before we talk about counteracting this phenomenon, we need to understand what it is, the causes of bullying, and the difference between bullying among children, adolescents, and adults. The problem of bullying has always existed and will always exist, because there have always been people in the world who seek to raise their status either in their environment, take higher positions in the relevant society, or simply take revenge for something by showing the victim his or her place, and thus showing other members of the group what can happen to them in case of disobedience. The purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of the concept of “bullying” and the means of counteracting violence. The research methodology is based on the analysis of the theoretical structure of the concept of “bullying” and practical knowledge in the field of self-defense. Research results and conclusions. The author of the article reveals the psychological and physical aspects of countering bullying by means of moral, volitional and physical qualities and notes the need for continuous improvement of mental and physical health. Key words: bullying, violence, physical weakness, psychological resilience.

The problem of the need to reduce the number of people in prisons, crime prevention, and effective correction of convicts has existed for a long time. In order to solve these issues, probation has been in operation for a long time in many countries of the world, in particular in the countries of the European Union. The rehabilitative aspect of probation deserves special attention: in its application, the main goal is not punishment, but social reintegration into society and correction of convicts. The purpose of the article is to study the foreign experience of the formation and development of the institution of probation as an active and progressive system of execution of punishments. The article used the methods of observation, comparison, generalization, scientific abstraction, and system analysis. Ukraine should take into account the experience of Estonia, Spain, and Portugal in the field of electronic monitoring. This type of probation measure in these countries has already proven its effectiveness, helped to save budget funds (the amount spent on electronic monitoring is much less than the amount of money spent on keeping a person in prison), and also allowed to reduce the number of people who are in prisons. The practical value of the article lies in the study and systematization of foreign experience of criminal legal measures not related to the isolation of offenders from society. The possibility and expediency of borrowing, as well as the introduction of mechanisms of such interaction in the crime prevention system in Ukraine, were analyzed. The article theoretically analyzes the psychological features of the adaptation of war prisoners to the conditions of captivity. Captivity is always a condition of forced isolation, which has a certain negative impact on the individual’s psyche, which destroys value orientations and affects the future life of a war prisoner. The degree of deformation of the consciousness of war prisoners depends on many factors, among which several main ones can be distinguished: the circumstances under which the prisoner was taken prisoner, the conditions of keeping the prisoner of war in captivity; physical restraint (handcuffs; lack of individual space; dissatisfaction of physiological needs; uncomfortable conditions of detention; humiliation, insults. Captivity carries with it certain consequences for a war prisoner, which are manifested in physiological, somatic, psychological, social changes, which are reflected in social and personal factors, which constitute the essence of the prisoner’s identity. The individual characteristics of the war prisoner, which have certain changes in his basic mental processes and phenomena, are also revealed. Key words: captivity, war prisoner, adaptation, maladaptation, mental states, phases of captivity, stages of captivity, personality, behavior.
