Psychological safety of employees is very important for organization functioning and development as it contributes to improved team performance, job involvement, sharing information and knowledge, ensuring their strong desire to continue working and developing in the organization where they work. The purpose of the study is to reveal the organizational factors of psychological safety at a job position, that is to determine, which characteristics of internal organizational condition affect the employees’ perceptions and feelings about a workplace safety. Scientific novelty. This study was carried out to examine the effects of organizational factors on the psychological safety of employees in the workplace. Psychological safety is regarded as a state of preservation of mind that involves maintaining a balance between the negative effects of the environment and a person’s resilience, that is, the ability to overcome such effects. In the structure of psychological safety of the organization member three components were identified: 1) the cognitive component – beliefs of employee about parameters of the professional environment in terms of real and potential threats and his/her own abilities to cope with them; 2) the emotional component – a feeling of being protected from the threats that go from the professional environment. The resulting assessment has emotional shades and can be characterized by dichotomies such as “safe-dangerous”, “good-bad”, “comfortable-uncomfortable” etc.; 3) component “confidence in the future” – in order to feel safe, it is not enough for an employee to perceive the environment as safe and his own ability to cope with all the challenges successfully today, but also the confidence that the current state of affairs will be maintained tomorrow is important. Conclusions. A questionnaire was offered to the members of business organizations and educational institutions. The results of the study confirmed that such organizational factors as level of organizational culture, working team cohesion, working team self-organization, management style of the immediate supervisor, work autonomy, role ambiguity have positive effect on psychological safety. The results imply the importance of purposeful implementation the company policies aiming improvement of these factors. Key words: organization, worker psychological safety, educational institution, business organization, factor, corporate culture, work autonomy, team cohesion.

The article is devoted to studying the peculiarities of the use of means of communication by students of introverted and extroverted personality types. The main concepts of the outlined problem, in particular interaction and communication, are studied, and their differences are determined. The importance of studying communicative processes is emphasized, their impact on the development of the entire society and involvement in various spheres of life is ascertained. The paper summarizes the knowledge of world experience and the views of modern scholars regarding the study of the research problem. It is found out that there are many typologies that classify personality according to various criteria. The most common are introversion and extroversion ones that are determined by an individual’s dominant psychological attitude (according to Jung C.G.). The purpose of the research is to study the peculiarities of introvert and extrovert students’ verbal and non-verbal communication. Scientific novelty. The conducted research revealed the peculiarities of the use of verbal and non-verbal means of interaction in the process of communication of students in different positions: with teachers, friends and fellow students. The psychodiagnostic toolkit for solving the research tasks is defined, the actual data obtained are collected and analyzed. It is empirically determined that extroverts and introverts have both differences and overlaps in the use of non-verbal communication tools, and the ratio of their manifestations of the students of both personality types are determined. Conclusions. The necessity of forming communicative competence among students, developing skills of understanding manifestations of non-verbal communication for better socialization and improving one’s image in the eyes of another person are proven. Key words: interaction, communication, verbal means, non-verbal means, introversion, extroversion.

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of psychological traumatization of children of different age groups as a result of military aggression in Ukraine. A special category that suffers psychotrauma is children, whose stress can be aggravated by the behavior of adults who feel fear, anxiety and helplessness in the realities of war. The author draws attention to the fact that parents can become a source of transmission of psychotrauma to their unborn children due to imperceptible but hereditary shifts in the genome and under the influence of constant anxiety caused by the experience of war. In this way, suffering can be passed down through the generations. Emotional response to military events in the east of the country can be traumatic stress for children and adults. The author identified and described five main types of traumatic events, which are especially often responsible for mental and physical suffering in the future: emotional neglect, emotional and physical violence, sexual aggression and sexual violence. The patterns of early psychological traumatization, negative changes in behavior due to a break in the relationship with a close adult are analyzed. The article highlights the peculiarities of the behavioral manifestations of children who have experienced a traumatic experience, taking into account their age, namely preschool children, children of primary school age and teenagers. The main types of immediate or delayed reactions demonstrated by children as a result of experiencing a traumatic situation are considered: expressive reactions, controlling reactions, shock reactions. Particular attention is paid to psychological defense mechanisms, with the help of which the child tries to cope with the traumatic situation. The results obtained by the author prove the need for further study of resources for overcoming the stress of war in children and adolescents, formation of their stress resistance at different levels: individual, social, cultural. Key words: children and adolescents, war, stress, psychological trauma, traumatic events, early psychological traumatization, psychological defense mechanisms.

The article addresses to an empirical study of the dynamics of psycho-emotional states and self-regulation of students and graduates of higher educational institutions during the first 4 months of the introduction of martial law in Ukraine in the context of studying the possibilities of strengthening psycho-emotional health. The research proved that the psycho-emotional state and indicators of self-regulation significantly worsened among student youth. The results of anxiety diagnostics showed that the dynamics of indicators of high and very high level among the respondents under study is increasing. The dynamics of indicators of a low level of anxiety decreases in the direction of an increase of a high level. A comparative analysis of the experiences of the studied students proved that anxiety and frustration, excitement and anxiety, tension and irritation, aggression, etc., were typical for the interviewees. Students pointed out the subjection to feelings, tendency to mood lability, fatigue, deterioration of sleep quality, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular and nervous systems, exacerbation of chronic diseases, occurrence of depressive states. Scientific novelty. The conducted research made it possible to reveal the peculiarities of the psycho-emotional health of students and the dynamics of emotional states and components of self-regulation during the 2-19 weeks of the introduction of martial law in Ukraine. Conclusions. The results of the study showed that the events currently taking place in Ukraine have a psychologically traumatic effect on every Ukrainian. This especially affects students of mature juvenile age. The necessity of developing ways and means of providing psychological assistance and personal support is proven to be important, also as conducting mental and emotionally volitional self-regulation training for students in order to improve general well-being and strengthen psycho-emotional health as a personal resource. Key words: psycho-emotional health, anxiety, worry, self-regulation, emotional stability, students of higher education.

The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to determining criteria and indicators of the mental health. It is noted that the relevance of the research is determined by the importance of the phenomenon of the mental health for successful professional activity by personnel in the penitentiary system. A definition is proposed that the level of the mental health of the personnel of penitentiary institutions will depend on how developed their mental functions are, how quickly they react to changes (emotionally, thoughts, actions), what psychological features they have and what kind of relationships they have with different social groups. Mental health provides an age-appropriate level of adaptation to changes in the surrounding environment and is manifested through the adequacy of behavioral manifestations. The article presents approaches to structuring the criteria for mental health of the personnel of penitentiary institutions in accordance with the manifestation of the mental: mental states, processes, properties, taking into account the specifics of the conditions of professional activity. Important criteria for the mental health of the personnel of penitentiary institutions are highlighted: the ability to act in a situation of uncertainty, having developed stress resistance, resilience, critical attitude, the ability to plan, self-control, the ability to maintain activity for a long time in extreme situations, mental balance, the need for career self-development. Emphasis has been placed on the application of the mental health assessment system, which will ensure the timely identification of the peculiarities of the development of the penitentiary system personnel, as well as allow, in the context of the psychohygiene and psychoprevention program, to identify and neutralize the factors that cause maladaptation, deformation of the need-motivation sphere, and inhibit the processes of personal and professional development. Key words: mental health, personnel of penitentiary institutions, criteria of the mental health, professional activity, mental processes, mental states, mental properties, psychoprevention.

Scientific novelty. The Russian-Ukrainian war led to a mass migration of the population both within the state itself and beyond its borders, which led to the emergence of the phenomenon of forced migrants, internally displaced persons, refugees, displaced persons, asylum seekers and emigrants in Ukrainian society. A large-scale wave of internally displaced persons and emigrants causes security, social, economic, financial, family and demographic problems. The article determines the trends of Ukraine’s population reduction, which is accelerating the demographic catastrophe, in particular, the increasing in population mortality due to war, huge internal displacements, the growth of emigration (refugees), the decrease in the birth rate and the probable loss of territories. The causes of the migration crisis are established, and its demographic consequences are determined, in particular: the probability of life loss; the impact of the war on the geographical distribution of the population (massive and permanent internal displacement); labor shortage and increasing burden on the pension system, decrease in birth rate (decrease in the number of women of reproductive age); increase in the number of the population of older age groups). It is also proven that the “new age structure of the country’s population” will have a smaller proportion of young people and a larger population of older age groups, which will put additional pressure on the national economy during recovery and reconstruction. Already today, the immediate demographic impact of the war on Ukraine is felt, as it has a “weak” demographic profile. Conclusions. The article substantiates that strong labor relations with employers are one of the important factors of preserving labor potential in Ukraine. However, this aspect has certain challenges for employers, in particular, creating jobs for people who have moved from the war zone (money and access to work remain the main factors for Ukrainian refugees); security guarantees and provision of housing; provision of financial support to victims and others. Key words: migration, demography, migrants, labor potential, war, age structure of the population, internally displaced persons, refugees.

The article is addressed to the consideration of the psychological features of the implementation of the educational influence mechanisms in penitentiary institutions, because the main goal of the work of the criminal and executive system is effective educational influence on a person who has broken the law. Such influence cannot be carried out forcibly and on the basis of intimidation, therefore the relevance of the topic stated by the author lies in the analysis of the psychological features of the educational influence on the convict in order to improve the quality of psychological and pedagogical work aimed at the resocialization of the convict. The authors consider the peculiarities of the term ‘psychological influence’, and analyzes the peculiarities of its implementation by employees of the criminal enforcement service. The work traces the correlation between the concept of “dynamic security” and socio-psychological influence, which is determined by the need to establish positive relationships between the personnel and convicts for the implementation of effective correctional socio-psychological influence. The work analyzes the factors that affect the influence process and the essential characteristics of the influence process itself, which must be taken into account by the personnel during the performance of official duties. The article raises such problematic issues as: researching the convict’s needs through which influence can be exerted, identifying the target of influence and observing the rules for delivering messages to the object of influence. Based on the analyzed theoretical sources, the basic components of influence are highlighted: behavior, attitudes, cognition. The article also emphasizes that a change in one of the components entails a change in the others. Therefore, for an effective psychological impact, the employees of the criminal and executive system are suggested to focus their attention on the emotional and psychological characteristics of the convict; peculiarities of his interaction with the group and taking into account his social position in it; cultural and educational level of the convict; social connections outside the prison; features of criminal thinking. The main factors of the effectiveness of the implementation of social and psychological influence are highlighted, which should be observed by the employees of the institutions of execution of punishments when working with the objects of influence. In the work, the author comes to the conclusion that the establishment of positive, frank and open relations between the staff of the penal institution and the convicts contributes to the effective socio-psychological influence on the latter and thereby increases the level and effectiveness of resocialization. Key words: impact, psychological impact, socio-psychological impact, execution of punishments, dynamic security, criminal and executive service.
