Morphisms are widely used in several branches of scienti c inquiry, but not so much in economics. Nevertheless, many conceptual advan- tages in the economic modeling from using a categorical setting exist. In this paper, we discuss why morphisms could be successfully injected into economic modeling and, in particular, that allomorphisms, i.e., structure- altering maps that re-shape economic processes, can be useful for letting economics to be part of relational social science.

This study investigated the soft skills that Building Technology Students need for sustainable employment in Building Construction Industry. The study answered four research questions and tested four null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted descriptive survey research design and was carried out in South-West, Nigeria. The population for the study was of 197 comprising of 159 employers from registered building construction industry and 38 building technology teachers from Building Technology Department in Polytechnics in South-West, Nigeria. There was no sampling for the study since the entire population was used. The instrument that was used for collecting data for the study was a structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was divided into two parts, I and II. Part I contains items that elicited the demographic information of the respondents while part II contains 62 soft skills items in four sections (A, B, C and D) on a five point likert-type rating scale option of Extremely Needed (EN),Somewhat Needed (SN), Neither Needed or Not Needed (NN), Somewhat Not Needed (SN) and Extremely Not Needed (EN) with a corresponding value of 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 respectively. The face validation of the instrument was carried out by five experts. The Cronbach alpha coefficient (∝) method was used to ascertain the internal consistency of the questionnaire items and it yielded an overall reliability coefficient of 0.88. Data generated from the administration of the questionnaire was analyzed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) using mean and t-test statistics to answer the research questions and hypotheses respectively at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that personal-attribute skills, people-related skills, higher-order thinking skills and career-attribute skills are required by building technology students in Polytechnics for sustainable employment in building construction industry. Based on the findings of the study, appropriate conclusions and recommendations were made which include the integration of the identified soft skills into the curriculum of building technology programme in Polytechnic among others.

This paper discussed whether there is an incremental value relevance of accounting information among Nigerian financial institutions. The study is motivated by the Report on the Observance of Standard Code (ROSC) of 2014 and 2011, which report that Nigerian accounting reporting has been marred with non-compliance, non-update, and non-disclosures of accounting information. These have contributed to the sudden fall of the Nigerian stock market from 2008 to 2009 and Nigerian financial institutions that made investors lose confidence in the Nigerian capital markets. This situation provided an opportunity to study the value relevance of accounting information among Nigerian financial institutions. The study uses 52 listed financial institutions in Nigeria. The stock return model used in value relevance studies is employed for data analysis. Data is collected from Bank Scope and Thompson Reuters Data Stream. The study findings provide more value relevance of accounting information under IFRS. Furthermore, assets and liabilities provide positive and negative significant relationships with stock returns, respectively. Lastly, the study provides evidence of the value relevance of accounting information after adopting IFRS.

Today, brand is a strategic requirement for organizations, which allows the creation of greater values for customers and sustainable competitive advantages of companies. Creating a strong brand in the market is the primary goal of many organizations. A strong brand can build up customer confidence for the purchase of goods and services, giving them a greater appreciation of the intangibles. Given the importance of the brand in marketing studies, this paper was conducted to investigate the effect of brand ambidexterity on brand performance and commitment. The research population consists of all customers of Pak brand in Rasht, Iran. Since the population size was not known, a sample size of n= 384 people was selected using the Cochran's formula for infinite population as well as Krejcie & Morgan table to ensure sampling adequacy. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using partial least squares (PLS) method were also used for data analysis. The results show that brand ambidexterity (exploitation and exploration) affects brand performance. The results also suggested that brand performance affects brand image, brand reputation and brand commitment.

There are thousands of studies in the literature on the use of artificial neural network methods in estimation problems. As in all issues, modeling is one of the essential processes for the solution of estimation problems. In order to make a good prediction, it is necessary to pay attention to the necessary rules. The more attention is paid to the estimation stages, the more accurate the assessment will be, and the results can be generalized. In this study, publications in the literature on artificial neural networks were examined. This work aims to explore the studies on artificial neural networks and emphasize their importance. It is also ofgreat importance to increase the number of studies in this field.
