Purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a global malignancy with 10.2% of cases, ranking third in worldwide cancer cases. According to Indonesia Health Research, CRC's prevalence has risen significantly, reaching 1, 8 per mile in 2018, and reports rising cancer cases in the past 5 years. This study explores the relationship model between smoking, socioeconomics, and CRC, considering cultural moderation. Design/Methodology/Approach: Conducted as a retrospective study with 212 respondents, comprising 172 cases of left-sided colorectal cancer (left CRC ) and 40 cases of right-sided colorectal cancer (right CRC) from three cultural areas. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) employing Warp-PLS was utilized for data analysis. Finding: A significant positive relationship was found between smoking and CRC prediction (β = 0,081, p-value = 0,040). This pattern also applies to socioeconomic status and CRC prediction (β = 0,311, p-value = <0,001). The influence of culture on both relationships is not the same. The relationship between smoking and CRC prediction is not influenced by culture (p-value = 0,318). Conversely, the relationship between socioeconomic status and CRC prediction is influenced by culture (β = 0,078, p = 0,047). Conclusion: Poor smoking habits and weak economic conditions influence the prediction of CRC negatively in East Java Province. Unfavorable cultural practices further worsen the relationship between weak socioeconomic status and poor CRC prediction in East Java Province. Recommendations suggest that preventing adverse CRC outcomes can be achieved through smoking cessation and improving socioeconomic conditions. Preventive efforts to enhance socioeconomic conditions should consider local cultural nuances. Research limitation: This research is limited to a population group in East Java Province, Indonesia, divided into three cultural areas: Mataraman, Arek, and Pendalungan.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of anxiety and stress on false confessions among police suspects in custody. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study adopted an ex post facto design. Participants were one hundred and nine (N 109) suspects in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department of Kaduna State Police Command, Kaduna State, Nigeria. The present study included three measurement tools to assess different constructs: The Gudjonsson Confession Questionnaire-Revised (GCQ-R) was utilized to evaluate false confession, the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was employed to assess anxiety levels, and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) was utilized to measure perceived stress. Findings: Results revealed that state anxiety positively predicted false confession (β =0.191, p < 0.05), whereas trait anxiety has no significant effect on false confession (β=- 0.050, p > 0.05), while perceived stress positively predicted false confession (β =0.273, p < 0.05). Conclusion: The study concluded that state anxiety and perceived stress contribute to a suspect’s predisposition to make a false confession. It was recommended that police officers be more cognizant of when and under what conditions they use interrogation methods in view of the level of anxiety and stress the suspect might be in.

Purpose: This study investigates the factors influencing the adoption of mobile banking (m-banking) in Nepal. It seeks to identify the key determinants of user acceptance in a context where concerns about safety and trust persist. Design/Methodology/Approach: Questionnaires were used to gather data from 240 respondents out of a total sample size of 300. Regression, ANOVA, post-hoc analysis and other descriptive and inferential statistics were used to examine the relationships between perceived risk, trust, convenience, relative benefits and m-banking adoption in Nepal. Findings: Perceived risk was found to have a significantly negative relationship with m-banking adoption. Relative advantages showed a strong positive relationship with adoption. However, trust had a negligible impact and convenience did not demonstrate statistical significance. Age and education significantly affected user acceptability with users over 50 and those with advanced degrees showing higher acceptance. Conclusion: The study suggests focusing on the relative benefits of mobile banking and addressing perceived risk in order to increase users’ confidence. The findings suggest that trust may not be a significant factor and convenience's role remains uncertain. Banks should adapt their strategies to accommodate customers of various ages and educational levels. Practical Implications: The findings guide financial institutions and regulators to improve m-banking adoption. Implementing user-friendly, low-risk, low-cost financial services and financial literacy programs can enhance user acceptance. This study applies the technology acceptance model to Nepal and emphasizes the need for a national strategy to promote formal financial services including m-banking. It helps understand technology adoption in emerging economies.

Purpose: In light of the rapid proliferation of socially responsible corporate practices, this study aims to verify the effects of cause-related ads. Specifically, we seek to investigate four factors that influence the effectiveness of cause-related ads: customers' perception of cause-related ads, brand-consumer relationships, brand attachment, and loyalty. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study conducted a combination of experimentation and a questionnaire survey on 324 undergraduate students in an in-class setting. Pretests were performed on 100 participants to select two video ads featuring two different themes with contrasting appeals (rational vs. affective). Findings: The result shows that customers' perception of cause-related ads positively influenced the consumer-brand relationship. In addition, the brand-consumer relationship significantly influenced brand attachment and customer loyalty. Conclusion: This result confirms that corporate social responsibility activities or cause-related ads form a favorable corporate image, resulting in a positive relationship with the company's product or service brand, repurchase or repurchase of the company's products, and positive word of mouth. Practical Implications: The result suggests that the formation of an amicable image with brands through attachment to corporate brands can increase corporate love and loyalty. Therefore, to create highly loyal customers, companies will need to create a favorable image through a continuous influx of socially responsible ads.
