THE LINGUISTIC STATUS OF IDEATION IN STARTUP DISCOURSE 创业话语中 "构思 "的语言地位

The paper is devoted to the study of the linguistic status of ideation in startup discourse and its influence on the promotion of innovations in the context of digital marketing in Technology for elaborating on effective professional and marketing communication. The development of startups is the practical discipline that embraces the toolkit of methods to work out, generate, and promote ideas, and their analysis to find out the effective investment policy. Specific language means and strategies are used to present ideas, concepts, and solutions. In the startup environment, they are studied from the point of view of the interaction of verbal (startup pitch decks – information dominant in the ideation process) and visual modes (visual communication tool Venngage for Business which helps to convey complex content in a more visually appealing way – performative dominant in the ideation process). The rhetorical aura of the ideator (ethos, logos, pathos) and his synergistic enthusiasm (entrepreneurial spirit and dynamism) are determined separately, aiming at conveying innovative ideas to attract investments and build effective communications with clients. Information dominant ideation is updated with a logical presentation of arguments, facts, statistics, and persuasive evidence that confirm the idea’s value and convince the audience of the startup success.Performative dominant ideation is actualized by multimodal interactivity that activates the perception of the idea by the audience, through the interference of verbal and visual means stimulated by neurotransmitters.  Among these we single out the use of emotionally colored words, metaphors, and stylistic techniques that cause emotional resonance in the audience, acting on consciousness and subconsciousness.The research is based on the platforms Techleaders Talks, Keynote developers speakers, and IT Arena startup competition. The novelty of the work consists of working out the linguistic status of ideation in the startup format, namely in the development of idea presentation tools (idea pitching). As a result of the research, it was determined that idea pitching is a rhetorical phenomenon of professional communication that works in the paradigm of design thinking and has a clear toolkit aimed both at attracting the attention of investors and the inquisitiveness and interest of the audience.  Aspects of idea pitching, such as the ideator's rhetorical aura, synergistic enthusiasm, persuasive argumentation, and multimodal interactivity are highlighted and their functions in the presented startup ideas are determined.  The article also analyzes Google startups from the point of view of linguistic means of presenting the startup's philosophy, mission, values, and culture.

UNRAVELLING THE ART OF DECOMPRESSING ENGLISH-LANGUAGE SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL TEXTS IN UKRAINIAN TRANSLATIONS 解读乌克兰语翻译中的英语科技文本解压艺术

The study of decompression, an often neglected aspect of translation studies, elucidates its role in translational transformations leading to increased lexical and symbolic volumes. The subtleties of translating scientific and technical texts into English into Ukrainian become obvious when dealing with such problems as dense and complex content, special terminology, and the dynamic development of scientific fields. The added difficulty of maintaining logical consistency and coherence while ensuring understanding further complicates the translation process. To solve these difficulties, decompression in Ukrainian translations requires a multifaceted approach that combines linguistic knowledge and subject expertise. Initiating research into the phenomenon of decompression in the context of information translation from English to Ukrainian, this article uses a comprehensive research approach. By analysing a variety of English-language scientific and technical texts, the study reveals the intricate details of this transformational process. The focus is on understanding the impact of decompression on both the volume and clarity of translated texts, shedding light on the dynamic interaction between languages and the challenges of maintaining fidelity to source materials across linguistic and cultural differences. This study marks the beginning of a fine-grained understanding of decompression in technical translation. Future research should further explore the intricacies of decompression, contributing to the development of practical tools that will facilitate more effective cross-cultural communication in scientific and technical fields. By addressing the challenges associated with decompression, future research efforts can improve the accuracy and accessibility of translated scientific and technical content, further bridging the language gap and facilitating the seamless exchange of knowledge across different linguistic landscapes.

TYPOLOGY OF HUMOR-CREATING MEANS IN THE BIOGRAPHICAL NARRATIVE (A STUDY OF BORIS JOHNSON’S “THE CHURCHILL FACTOR. HOW ONE MAN MADE HISTORY” AND ITS UKRAINIAN TRANSLATION) 传记叙事中创造幽默手段的类型学(研究鲍里斯-约翰逊的《丘吉尔因素。一个人如何创造历史》及其乌克兰语译本的研究)

This paper addresses the ways of using humor in English biographical narrative and its Ukrainian translation to engage the reader to getting familiar with the book, to build a dialogue between the author and the reader as well as to fully characterize the protagonist. The paper claims that Boris Johnson's “The Churchill Factor. How one man made history" is a vivid example of the effective use of humorous techniques in a biographical narrative and its Ukrainian translation. Boris Johnson excels in utilizing humor as a tool of highlighting Churchill's weaknesses and strong points as a political leader and an outstanding personality by keeping the balance between dramatic and funny episodes in the protagonist’s life. The analysis proves that the main means of creating humor in the text under discussion are exaggeration and hyperbole, metaphorization, word play, and irony. The paper claims that Johnson's use of the above humor-producing techniques is effective for achieving several purposes. Along with engaging the readership’s interest towards the book’s content and further maintaining it, the humor-oriented narrative helps to humanize Churchill,making him more intelligible for the reader. Humor also facilitates conveying and interpreting complex ideas and motifs Churchill was guided by throughout his political carreer and daily life. The paper concludes by the reflections on how the use of humor-producing techniques influenced the construction of the author’s axiological vision of the biography historical persona, which is suggested to the reader at large.

PERSONAL POTENTIAL AS A PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL PROBLEM 个人潜能是一个心理学和教育学问题

The article highlights the interpretations of the multifaceted concept of “personal potential” available in the modern scientific and pedagogical discourse. It is noted that the concept of “personal potential” primarily characterizes the internal physical and spiritual energy of a person, its active nature, focus on creative self-expression and self-realization. It is asserted that the basis of key approaches to determining personal potential lies in the understanding of the problem of personality, the development of which, starting from the last century, is being conducted until now in both Ukrainian and foreign scientific circles. The broad interpretation of the key word “potential” in the concept of “personal potential” is based on its consideration as a source and measure of a person’s capabilities and resources exploited to achieve a certain goal. Personal potential is made up of aptitudes, inclinations, interests, the desire to create something new, the manifestation of general intelligence, perseverance, purposefulness, determination, hard work, and the ability to develop personal strategies. It is emphasized that the potential should be considered in relation to the activity and interpreted not as a state of temporarily unused resources, but as an ever-increasing readiness to solve increasingly complex tasks that may arise before the individual. Personal potential is always a plane of personal growth with opportunities for self-actualization and self-improvement of the individual. The fenimenon under study is a dynamic, integrative quality of a person that characterizes the extent of his capabilities and resources for effective life activities, determines his readiness and ability for self-realization and self-improvement. Such types of human potential are outlined, such as: epistemological, axiological, creative, communicative, professional, spiritual potentials.

LEADERSHIP LANGUAGE IN THE COURSE OF WAR: FRAMING AND REFRAMING ASPECTS 战争过程中的领导语言:框架和重构方面

The article presents a multimodal study of leadership language on the example of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky’s speeches. The work analyzes how coverage of Zelensky's orations constructs frames of the Ukrainian – Russian war viewing. How media (using a mechanism that allows creating a new psychological frame to expand their perception) reframes the outlooks by imposing a specific interpretation onto events. As a result of both textual and visual analysis of Zelensky's video messages, it is evident that to achieve the communicative goal, the President uses a complex system of argumentation schemes (from the sign “argument from the sign”, by analogy “argument by analogy”, cause-and-effect relationship). Numerous strategic and tactical communicative techniques and tools (metaphors, metonymies, epithets, comparisons, allusions, means of stylistic syntax) aimed at creating a frame of Ukraine and shaping its identity allow his speeches to sound clear and convincing.

The work analyzes how coverage of Zelensky's orations constructs frames of the Ukrainian – Russian war viewing. How media (using a mechanism that allows creating a new psychological frame to expand their perception) reframes the outlooks by imposing a specific interpretation onto events. As a result of both textual and visual analysis of Zelensky's video messages, it is evident that to achieve the communicative goal, the President uses a complex system of argumentation schemes (from the sign “argument from the sign”, by analogy “argument by analogy”, cause-and-effect relationship). CIVIL IDENTITY OF A PERSONALITY: URGENCY OF FORMATION AND DETECTION IN MODERN UKRAINE 人格的公民认同:现代乌克兰形成与发现的紧迫性

The article analyzes features of personality’s  civic identity through awareness of relevance of its formation and detection in modern Ukraine. The following methods were used to conduct the research: analysis and generalization of pedagogical and methodical sources in order to identify the range of issues that require scientific and methodical study; methods of comparative analysis, interpretation and generalization of facts; comparative and analytical methods to analyze formation of personality’s civil identity; system analysis for development of ways of forming personality’s  civil identity in modern Ukraine. The concepts of "identity", "personal civil identity", "national identity as a component of citizenship", "state identity", "civil and social competences" are characterized. It is noted that civil identity of a personality is related to a person's sense of belonging to a certain state, the signs of which are considered to be presence of citizenship, high level of trust in authorities, fellow citizens, respect, pride for one's own state, patriotism. It is emphasized that the very concept of democracy is inseparably connected with the concept of "civic identity" in the sense that democratic processes in the state, as a rule, depend on the citizens' informed and active civil position. It was found that the markers of civil identity are language (promote Ukrainian the status of the state language, its mandatory use in official sphere, in educational system and mass media activities), state symbols (anthem, flag, coat of arms of Ukraine), calendar of holidays (which honor important events in the history of Ukraine, its outstanding people.  Important role of the educational subject "Civil education" in formation of civil competence, which we consider the basis for further formation of personality’s civil identity  based on it, has been determined. Fullness of civil competence in the content of 9 branches of education was analyzed, the content was specified through skills and attitudes. Possibilities of educational subjects in formation of civil competence of schoolchildren were represented. Key words: identity, civil identity of a personality, national identity as a component of civil identity of a person, state identity, civil and social compences.
本文通过对近代乌克兰人格公民认同形成与发现的关联性的认识,分析了人格公民认同的特征。研究采用了以下方法:分析和概括教学和方法来源,以确定需要科学和方法研究的问题范围;比较分析、解释和概括事实的方法;人格公民认同形成的比较分析方法近代乌克兰人格公民认同形成途径发展的系统分析。以“身份”、“个人公民身份”、“作为公民身份组成部分的国家身份”、“国家身份”、“公民和社会能力”等概念为特征。值得注意的是,一个人的公民身份与一个人对某个国家的归属感有关,其标志被认为是公民身份的存在、对当局的高度信任、同胞、尊重、为自己的国家感到自豪、爱国主义。它强调民主的概念本身与“公民身份”的概念密不可分,因为国家的民主进程通常取决于公民的知情和积极的公民地位。发现公民身份的标志是语言(提高乌克兰语的国家语言地位,在官方领域,教育系统和大众媒体活动中强制使用),国家象征(国歌,国旗,乌克兰国徽),节日日历(纪念乌克兰历史上的重要事件,其杰出的人民)。确立了教育主体“公民教育”在公民能力形成中的重要作用,并以此为基础进一步形成人格的公民认同。分析了公民胜任力在9门教育内容中的充分性,并通过技能和态度来明确其内容。论述了教育科目对学童民事能力形成的可能性。关键词:身份,人格的公民身份,作为人的公民身份组成部分的国家身份,国家身份,公民与社会责任

COMMUNICATIVE AND PRAGMATIC FEATURES OF THE TEXTS GERMAN LANGUAGE ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THE SEARCH OF A PARTNER 德语寻找伴侣公告文本的交际和语用特征

The article is devoted to the analysis of communicative and pragmatic features of German advertisements about finding a partner, the language of which is characterized by certain changes in lexical content. Lexical units for the material were selected from advertisements on dating sites or newspaper sections for dating with age categories: 25-40 years and 60 or more years. The concise presentation of information and the desire to present yourself positively led to changes in the selection of lexical tools. In order to achieve his goal, the author is forced to customize the text to the target audience, taking into account the cultural and gender characteristics of the present. The language and its functioning in such advertisements has changed its meaning and lexical content, in particular, the use of evaluative lexical means, as well as the frequent use of abbreviations with an emphasis on general characteristics, rather than individual ones. Changes in the attitude of the younger age group towards the approach to writing have led to changes in the tactics of selecting lexical units and their implementation in order to achieve a communicative goal. As a conclusion, there is a tendency to simplify the structure, lexical content, speech formation. The research is interdisciplinary in nature and contributes to the formation of an idea of the development of language in virtual discourse and its changes caused by modern society and factors influencing it.
本文分析了德语择偶广告的交际特点和语用特点。德语择偶广告在词汇内容上有一定的变化。教材的词汇单位是从交友网站或报纸上的交友广告中挑选出来的,年龄分为25-40岁和60岁及以上。信息的简洁表达和积极呈现自己的愿望导致了词汇工具选择的变化。为了达到自己的目的,作者不得不考虑到当下的文化和性别特征,为目标受众定制文本。这类广告中的语言及其功能改变了其意义和词汇内容,特别是使用评价性词汇手段,以及频繁使用强调一般特征而非个别特征的缩略语。低年级学生对写作方法态度的变化导致了为达到交际目的而选择词汇单位和实施词汇单位的策略发生了变化。作为结论,有简化结构、词汇内容、言语形式的趋势。该研究具有跨学科的性质,有助于形成虚拟话语中语言的发展以及现代社会及其影响因素引起的语言变化的观念。

UNLEASHING THE POWER OF COMPUTER-MEDIATED ANONYMOUS PEER FEEDBACK IN ENHANCING SELF-REGULATED LEARNING 释放以计算机为媒介的匿名同伴反馈的力量,增强自我调节学习

Students were expected to employ self-regulated learning (SRL) skills to take control of their learning in computer-mediated learning environments during emergency remote teaching (ERT). Considering its importance, it is a must to foster SRL through various practices in English writing classes. Peer feedback is practical in that it enables students to monitor their writing, foster SRL skills, and facilitate learning. Therefore, the study aimed to explore the impact of computer-mediated anonymous peer feedback on students’ SRL skills and find out students’ experiences of giving and receiving feedback. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study used an online SRL scale and reflective journals for data collection from preparatory school students. The data were analyzed using paired samples t-test and coding of the reflective journals. Results demonstrated that computer-mediated anonymous peer feedback significantly improved the SRL skills of students. Moreover, students stated that reviewing peers’ papers and making self-evaluations helped them improve their linguistic performance. However, it was found challenging to trust the provided feedback. Students also felt anxious about offending classmates or giving inaccurate feedback, embarrassed of making mistakes, and exhausted from reviewing papers. Along with these negative feelings, they also reported positive emotions such as self-confidence and enthusiasm. The results emphasize that computer-mediated anonymous peer feedback can be incorporated into English writing courses, especially in online settings. Future studies should investigate how computer-mediated anonymous peer feedback affects students’ writing performance and SRL skills in different modes of instruction among different student populations.

LAPIDARITY AS A FEATURE OF LINGUISTIC ECONOMY 语言经济的特征之一是语言的贫乏

Lapidarity as a feature of linguistic economy. The article is devoted to the concept of “lapidarity” as a linguistic definition of conciseness, brevity and compression of language means in view of the principle of linguistic economy. The analysis, evaluation and interpretation of changes according to various factors that influence language in its theoretical interpretation and practical use are the starting points for the presented research. The aim of the study is to provide a brief overview of contemporary scientific works where lapidarity as a linguistic term is mentioned and used in linguistic research. For this purpose, a thorough analysis of theoretical works on the concept of “linguistic economy” is carried out. To achieve this goal, such general scientific methods as description, analysis, generalization and explanation were used. The article provides a list of conceptual developments of linguistic economy, which we find in the latest modern works of a number of researchers. In the course of analyzing the practical implementation of the principle of linguistic economy and defining its main features, the following are highlighted: brevity, content, conciseness, accuracy, semantic compression and pregnancy. According to the study, the areas of application of the concept of “lapidarity” are limited to the following: text stylistics and extralinguistic factors; cognitive-discursive reconstruction of communicative deviations; axiological aspects of speech; optimization of interlingual communication; pragmatic potential; internal dynamism of speech and authorial modality, etc. The obtained results can be used to establish the relevance of the term “lapidarity” in linguistic studies. The study makes a significant contribution to the scientific heritage of textual linguistics. The conclusions of the study indicate the prospects of developing the above-mentioned linguistic phenomenon in view of the ways of realizing lapidarity in specific speech genres.

FORMATION OF STUDENTS’ CIVIC IDENTITY AS CONDITIONS OF NATIONAL SOLIDARITY IN WARTIME 学生公民身份的形成是战时民族团结的条件

The article highlights the problem of students' civic identity as a condition for national solidarity in wartime. It was established that the formation of civic identity among student youth is an important task of modern education, which aims to involve young people in nation-building processes and active public life. It has been proven that national solidarity is the most important moral characteristic of the Ukrainian national community, which determines the national kinship of members of Ukrainian society through a system of values, national consciousness, national culture, language, moral rules and laws and is manifested in self-organization, active citizenship, the ability to act for a common goal and common good. Civic competence is defined as the ability of a person to realize and protect the rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen, to be responsible for the duties of a citizen, to take an active part in public life, to support the development of a democratic society and to affirm the supremacy of law, the ideas of democracy, justice, equality, on the basis of equals rights and opportunities. It was found that civic activism defines the civic position that an individual manifests in public activities, participation in solving political, social, moral issues, involvement in public and political life, as well as participation in election processes. Civic resilience reflects national identity and solidarity in everyday life and in the conditions of war and post-war times, the ability to resist hostile ideology and informational influences. It has been proven that the formation of civic identity is based on national consciousness, national culture, national language, and national idea.

It was established that the formation of civic identity among student youth is an important task of modern education, which aims to involve young people in nation-building processes and active public life. It has been proven that national solidarity is the most important moral characteristic of the Ukrainian national community, which determines the national kinship of members of Ukrainian society through a system of values, national consciousness, national culture, language, moral rules and laws and is manifested in self-organization, active citizenship, the ability to act for a common goal and common good. Civic competence is defined as the ability of a person to realize and protect the rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen, to be responsible for the duties of a citizen, to take an active part in public life, to support the development of a democratic society and to affirm the supremacy of law, the ideas of democracy, justice, equality, on the basis of equals rights and opportunities. It was found that civic activism defines the civic position that an individual manifests in public activities, participation in solving political, social, moral issues, involvement in public and political life, as well as participation in election processes. Civic resilience reflects national identity and solidarity in everyday life and in the conditions of war and post-war times, the ability to resist hostile ideology and informational influences.
