The article highlights the current problems of raising the moral stability of cadets to the manipulative influence of enemy propaganda in modern conditions. It has been proven that the moral resistance of cadets to the manipulative influence of enemy propaganda is an integrated quality of the individual, which consists in preserving and observing moral values in the conditions of an aggressive environment, misinformation, manipulation of enemy propaganda, influence on the psyche and determines the ability of the individual to actively oppose and protect freedom, democracy and Ukraine's sovereignty from external and internal threats. Moral self-awareness, critical thinking, volitional motivation, moral assessment, self-control are the psychological mechanisms of training cadets' moral resistance to the manipulative influences of enemy propaganda. The basic moral values of the education of moral stability are (patriotism defines a valuable attitude towards Ukraine, devotion and loyalty to the military oath, service to the Ukrainian people and readiness to protect the territorial integrity of the state.), responsibility (the perceived freedom of a specific individual in making moral decisions, choosing goals and adequate means of achieving them), dignity (reflects a moral attitude towards oneself, towards society, towards one's mission to protect Ukraine and is associated with a sense of military duty). Ways of forming cadets' moral resistance to the manipulative influence of enemy propaganda have been determined, which involve mastery of etiquette, information hygiene, and media literacy.

The article substantiates the main priority and innovative ideas of this problem in theory and practice, examines the semantic meaning of the concepts of "multicultural education", "multicultural upbringing", "civic identity", "tolerance", and identifies effective forms and interactive methods of education and training with school and university students in the context of reforming the education system. Three levels of multicultural education are highlighted, including ethnic, civic and global (planetary). It is noted that multicultural education synthesizes knowledge about culture, which is the property of the civilized world, about ethnic culture, about national culture as a product of historical mutual enrichment and interpenetration of ethnic cultures. It is emphasized that the very concept of "multicultural education" is inextricably linked with the concept of "civic identity" in the meaning that the latter as a form of social life of a person encompasses "the feeling of being a part of society and the desire to be an active member of it in the present and future. The author characterizes the technology of education of the culture of personal self-affirmation, which actualizes the multicultural focus, active civic position of the student's personality. The described innovative program on English language teaching methods developed by the British Council in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the project "New Generation School Teacher" focuses on the formation of students' professional and pedagogical competences of future teachers, the development of critical thinking, initiative, creativity, independent thinking, and active citizenship in the socio-cultural reality. The author summarizes that the analysis of domestic and foreign experience makes it possible to comprehensively study the problems of civic identity and tolerance in the context of multiculturalism of the modern educational space. Therefore, it is undoubtedly especially valuable to clearly define and substantiate a conceptually oriented perspective which would contribute to the development of active civic position of pupils and student youth, the formation of national consciousness, the formation of high moral feelings and habits, would ensure the creation of a positive system of pupils' and students' attitudes towards reality, and establish tolerant intercultural relations in various activities. Key words: multicultural education, multicultural upbringing, tolerance, intercultural communication, civic identity, culture of personal self-affirmation, interactive methods, personality-oriented approach.

The main purpose of the article is to study ways of translation of English idioms with a color component into Ukrainian. Idiomatic units make up a significant part of the vocabulary of both Ukrainian and English, therefore, they are of great interest to scientists. In addition, it is important to choose the correct ways to translate such units, in particular with a color component. Two major methods of translation of English idiomatic constructions with coloronyms into Ukrainian are analysed: phraseological method with the selection of a full or partial equivalent, as well as non-phraseological, that is, descriptive translation, which is resorted to when it is impossible to find equivalents. When choosing a translation strategy, the translator should pay attention not only to the literal, but also to the figurative component of the idiom. The translator should take into account the fact that idiomatic constructions and colored elements can have different meanings in different cultures. Color units in idiomatic constructions can be used to indicate the real color or to convey certain symbols as well as add expressiveness into the speech. Using the novel “11/22/63” by American writer Stephen King and its Ukrainian translation, phraseological and non-phraseological methods of translating idioms with a color name in the composition are analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it has been revealed that the translator resorts more to the phraseological method of giving color idioms, but if necessary, does not neglect the non-phraseological method of translation for better reproduction of the figurative component.

The article describes the use of euphemisms in political discourse on the material of modern German magazines. It is also noticeable the views of scientists on the definition of the term "political discourse" and "euphemism" for kraphemis ichnyami. After that, an analysis of the use of euphemisms in political speech in modern German ZMK was carried out. On the basis of this analysis, according to our observation, the main functions of the EMG were identified. The main themes of political euphemisms and the actual semantic processes of euphemism formation were also highlighted. The relevance of this lesson is obvious, especially for one person. This discourse is an integral part of political processes interwoven in society. The analysis of such political texts gives a better understanding of what politics brings to society's information, which language is loaded in order to hide information or manipulate the population. We foresee the prospect of scientific research in the further structural analysis of the formation of euphemisms.

The article presents the main principles of the axiological approach to the formation of the content of higher education in the context of current global trends and challenges caused by the modernization of the educational environments in Ukraine and the EU. The socio-economic, political, technological and cultural transformations that have been taking place in the world over the recent decades have had a significant impact on the development of education. In 2018, the EU adopted the key competencies for lifelong learning, including digital competence and entrepreneurship, which were introduced for the first time. This demonstrates that in order for the graduates to be employed universities have to respond quickly to the new labour market requirements and promote the formation of a competitive personality that has well-developed life, career and study skills. The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement was signed in 2014, and since then the cooperation between Ukrainian and European educational institutions has got intensified. In this respect, it is vital to consider the axiological aspects of higher education and the determination of value components of the content and criteria of high quality education. By definition, the axiological approach proclaims the human being as the highest value of society and allows integrating the development of universal, national, professional and personal values in the educational process. The university is able to be the environment where the formation and consolidation of the value sphere of the individual takes place. The content of the value component of education is formed at the state level within regulatory documents and at the university level within the framework of educational and professional programs, training courses, compulsory and elective disciplines. However, formal copying of the value-based education of other countries cannot bring the desired results, as the factors that determine which values are the basis for the content of higher education in European countries differ from those in Ukraine. A comparative analysis of the value component of the content of university education in Ukraine and the EU countries shows that national traditions of lifestyle, production practice, politics and culture are essential the development of education

The article is devoted to the actual problem of genre features of patent documentation. The relevance of the issue is related not only to the importance of further accumulation of knowledge in the field of functional stylistics and text linguistics but also to the tasks of improving inventive and patent-licensing work. Patent documentation is considered as a type of scientific and technical literature that combines the properties of two functional styles: scientific and technical and official and business. The article analyzes the directions of linguistic studies of patent documentation, in particular, the comparison of the patent genre with other genres of scientific literature. The article provides a comparative analysis of the description of the invention as a structural component of a patent and a scientific article. It is noted that with the scientific style, the description of the invention and the entire text of the patent combine such socio-cultural functions as the fixation of technical knowledge, which is objectified in the form of texts and the implementation of the exchange of knowledge with the help of patent documents; the patent combines the common function of intellectual property protection with the official business style. Special attention is paid to the description of the invention, which is a text with a dual functional and stylistic function, and the formula of invention, which is a part of the description, a short verbal expression of the essence of the invention. The main function of the formula is legal. Based on the intentional-functional approach, the article represents the linguistic features of the patent not as a set of separately taken components in the form of archaisms, clericalisms, and terms, but as a model consisting of interdependent elements.

The research aims at outlining the category of double negation in English and reinterpretation of classical understanding of this construction. The article outlines possible benefits from using the given construction and possible problems, which it may create in communication. The authors combine pragmatical and psycholinguistic approaches to the given grammatical construction, the examples of the reasons are given, which may have contributed to the usage of the given construction and the reasons of misunderstandings because of the loss of meaning in the process of communication. The analysis of the given construction from the point of view of the speaker and the listener gives the opportunity to understand the logic behind it and predisposition of English towards double negation as well as the artificial influence of Lantin over the process of disappearance of the unique construction in English Grammar. In Future it may be the basis to prove the standardness of this construction.

The article defines the main regularities during the translation of the German terms contained in the National Ukrainian Standard DSTU 3017:2015 into Ukrainian and outlines recommendations for the translator working with terms that are not recorded in translated lexicographic sources. The obtained results are a useful addition to the terminology system of the publishing and library industry. The total amount of research material is based on a compiled sample of German terms and their Ukrainian equivalents. The goal of the presented research is to determine the regularities of German terms rendering into Ukrainian. The main tasks aim at the creation of a classification of terms based on word-forming features and a generalized classification of strategies, methods, approaches and techniques of terms translation based on the lexical and semantic features. The analysis of the translation features of the compiled research material makes recommendations for the terms translation that do not have dictionary equivalents. The research uses general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis to develop classifications and generalize recommendations for the terms translation. The main linguistic methods of research are the method of structural and lexical analysis, component analysis and the method of analysis of dictionary definitions. In addition, the article uses the sociolinguistic method of distributive analysis and the statistical method of quantitative analysis. German native and borrowed terms of the field “The main types of editions” consist of native non‑derived vocabulary, derivatives, compound words and combinations of words. The terms of the field of the main types of editions are generally rendered by lexical and semantic approaches of lexical borrowing, modulation, implication, explication and mutation. Native non‑derived vocabulary and derivative terms are translated into Ukrainian by lexical borrowing. Compound words, represented by composites and binominal words, are rendered mainly by means of modulation; combinations of words are mostly translated by means of tracing. Translation approaches of implication and explication are typical of both native terms and borrowed terms, but they are less common in terms translation. The approach of implication aims at the compact presentation of terms, and the approach of explication makes easier their perception. The translation approach of mutation through the denotation replacement is the least used in translation. The translation of terms complicate absolute synonyms (doublets) and polysemantic words with signs of intraindustry homonymy (translator’s false friends). In the translation of native German terms into Ukrainian, there is a tendency to use the foreignization strategy.

In the translation of native German terms into Ukrainian, there is a tendency to use the foreignization strategy.","PeriodicalId":404912,"journal":{"name":"Advanced Linguistics","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122445723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article is focused on the comprehensive study of the representation of humor in jokes about sex in the modern German language. The methodological basis of this scientific paper is an integrative anthropocentric approach to language. Their quantitative-qualitative distribution was carried out according to samples from works «1000 Witze zum Schlapplachen», «Kenn’ Se den schon? Die köstlichen Witze und Anekdötchen», «Rentner-Witze. Witze für den Ruhestand: Wie nennt man Menschen, die auch montags gute Laune haben? Rentner!» and https://witze.net/, https://www.wir-lieben-es-lustig.de/. These works served as a source of data for the analytical part of the study. 277 jokes about sex were interpreted and grouped into 8 conceptual classes, formed on the basis of combining humorous content according to a feature common to each class, which was established on the basis of contextual situations. According to the data of the analysis of the actual material, the fixation of the identified substantive conceptual classes shows the uneven distribution of their volumes. It was established that, according to the analyzed empirical material, jokes belonging to the conceptual class of polygamy and changing partners and sexual depravity prevail in the German language society, while the class of commercialization of sex is represented by a small number of jokes. It should be noted that the article analyzes only those jokes about sex, if the subject position in the specified humorous texts is replaced by a person. Jokes with spicy content with animals as subjects / objects of the comic, such as: “Trifft ein blinder Hase ein blindes Krokodil.
Dann对klokodil说:“嗯……kurze Beine, großes Maul, langer Schwanz, du must ein Italiener sein "没有被分析。

The article examines the peculiarities of education in the East Slavic territory in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is noted that the Old Ukrainian (book Ukrainian and folk Ukrainian), Old Slavic, Greek, Latin and Polish languages were used in writing at that time. It is emphasized that such multilingualism is consolidated and used at the end of the studied period. The main differences of the educational processes of the XVI-XVII centuries, which were based on source diversity, which primarily involved the use of diverse systems of basic education and final indicators, are highlighted. The authors point out that during this period we are talking exclusively about non-state education, in the functioning of which the state did not play a decisive role, in particular in terms of financing, and such education almost did not give any official privileges. The main types of primary and secondary education were church, folk and private. It is noted that in the 15th century and at the beginning of the16th century, Orthodox schools (the very word “school” to denote a Ukrainian educational institution is recorded in sources from the 16th century) attached to churches and monasteries were traditional in Ukraine. At the end of the 16th century as a result of the Brest Union, representatives of the united church organize union schools in the northwestern Ukrainian territories. But, despite a rather active policy of their implementation, encouraging young people to study (among other things, for example, education was free for orphans and the poor), they did not gain significant popularity in Ukrainian lands. It is outlined that they spread the most in the territories bordering Belarus.
