Electronic government (e-government) has been adopted globally by both developed and developing countries. Many studies revealed that the e-government not only improves the efficiency of public administration but also the practice of good governance, such as increasing transparency, deducing administrative corruption, improving service delivery, improving civil service performance, citizens empowerment and improving government finance.

Good legislation unfortunately for the new system also offered unprecedented power for the Ministry of Health to control use diagnostic procedures by specialist staff of public hospitals across Australia in their private practices. Medicare went ahead and the Inquiry succeeded in curbing that power as inappropriate intrusion, whilst recognising a professional obligation to curb irresponsible use of costly tests through effective clinical governance.

A major problem in every political system is that politicians in office may use their power to pursue their own interests, rather than those of citizens. Politicians are in a position that allows them to divert public funds into their own pockets. In fact, it has been claimed that policymakers seek power, ego-rents and even bribes

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends enforcement of tobacco control as a top-priority public health policy issue in illness prevention. Smoking is one of the most powerful risk factors affecting health; it can lead to disease and death, is a cause of many illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, respiratory infections, etc.; around 6 million people die each year due to smoking. Moreover, smoking causes diverse and serious direct and indirect social burdens. Worldwide, 168 countries have signed the 2005 Framework Convention Alliance for Tobacco Control (FCTC) to enforce policies for tobacco control and to reduce smoking rates, and this is the very first convention in the field of health.

Breastfeeding and the use of human milk provide infants with unique benefits that are both nutritional and non-nutritional. The literature supports that infants who are breastfed have a reduced risk of otitis media, gastrointestinal infections, lower respiratory infections, asthma, childhood leukaemia, diabetes and obesity

The purpose of this paper is to reflect the author’s views on the methodology of final grades in the evaluation of shares in the company based on the results of the use of multiple valuation approaches. In contrast to the widespread use of information, evaluation results obtained from the use of different evaluation approaches, by their weighting is proposed to establish upper and lower bounds of property being valued. The presence of these borders is due to the logic of rational behavior of economic (economic) entities as well as the provisions of the current edition of the International Valuation Standards. A further mechanism for obtaining the final valuations of shares in companies similar to the traditional. In general, the proposals made in the work permit to get a more informed assessment of the total value of shares in the companies.

The study of public administration and management requires scientific steps, because of the philosophical views of research as scientific process that lies on ontology, epistemology, and methodology. The qualitative method is a major aspect of public management research, which also has been criticized from different perspectives; especially, in relations to its characteristics (proximity to quantitative method, determinism, finding actual causation, objectivism etc.). The main purpose of this article therefore, is to discuss the basic scientific steps in public management research and to focus on literature review, interview, and documentary analysis as qualitative strategies in data collection, analysis, and interpretation in public management research for especially young researchers and also old researchers in this unique field. In addition, this paper tries to contribute to the views that the qualitative method is still one suitable method for public management research and different strategies could be adopted in one research task through the mixed method.

This study focuses on the role of knowledge management in sustaining and enhancing innovation in the hospitality industry. In particular the study seeks to establish a knowledge management model within which the principles of innovation can be incorporated. There is a brief review of knowledge management and hospitality concepts and their respective synergies, and the various definitions mentioned indicated that knowledge management has the potential to be a catalyst for innovation within organizations. The study applied the survey methods where questionnaires were distributed to 240 respondents and analyzed using statistical analysis techniques. Most of the respondents perceived knowledge management as a way to add value. The results indicated that the state of knowledge–management framework implementation in the hospitality industry has been accepted. The study also identified knowledge management as one of the most important resources that contributes to the competitive advantage of an organization. This study provided a better understanding of the determinant factors and variables of knowledge management. The study could assist organizations to better design their knowledge–management schemes and generate fruitful outcomes for both employees and organizations. Our study shed light on the important role of knowledge management and the role of top management in legitimizing and empowering the knowledge management leaders. The study pointed out that future research can focus on the knowledge management leaders and address issues such as the characteristics of effective knowledge-management leaders and how can an organization develop a committed team of knowledge management leaders.

The intentions of this project are to provide information on the developing concept of Public Service Motivation (PSM) in Public Employees, specifically academic advisors in higher education. Initially there will be a review of existing literature on public service motivation and academic advisement. Specific topics will include research on desired rewards, developmental factors of PSM, organizational effects on PSM, measurement of PSM, how PSM influences performance, and methods to impact PSM. With a review of the literature in consideration, a research study will follow. It will be specific to the relationship, if any, of PSM and Management. The study examines twelve academic advisors with six different supervisors. Each advisor and supervisor were interviewed and their responses were collected to a pre-determined set of questions that identify their Public Service Motivation levels. That data was organized and compared with other responses to observe trends and factors that impact the PSM levels across advisors. The conclusion of the study was that management does have a significant impact on PSM levels in academic advisors. This is important as it suggest the need for additional training and development of supervisors to more successfully capture and utilize high PSM levels in public servants.
