In this paper I attempt to identify the fundamental properties of the diagram as a form of representation in opposition to purely symbolic representation The author’s intent is to present the characteristics of architectural diagrams as they are and to analyse their role in argumentation, or, more broadly, in various forms of justifying diagrammatic representations. However, these two aspects cannot be fully separated from each other – the distinctive features of diagrams are of course tied with the distinctive properties of cognitive processes associated with them. This discussion will present just how diverse diagrams and types of thinking can be, and the wide range of roles that representations can play in architectural cognitionKey words: design process, diagram features, diagram thinking, cognitive processes, presentation methods, philosophical problems.

An increasing number of equestrian facilities are being built in Poland and around the world. These premises should be designed to meet the needs of both people (the riders) and horses, while retaining high architectural value. Hippic buildings have a diverse use programme depending on their purpose. The profile of an equestrian facility directly affects its architecture in both functional and aesthetic contexts. The author analysed foreign cases of hippic buildings of varying size to present their diversity.

The aim of the research was to develop a technology for glass – composite doors with a tilting slat integrated with the frame hidden in the wall, and to implement it on the Polish and international markets. The research has resulted in new technological solutions in relation to conventional glass doors, eliminating the current limitations in terms of height, width, weight and applicability of composite glass based on glass with infill. The study was conducted following the TRL (Technology Readiness Levels) system.

The main aim of the article is to show the significance of the spatial order concerning, in particular, the single-family residential architecture of the Ropczyce and Sędziszów poviat. Single-family architecture of small towns in the Subcarpathian region constitutes the majority of buildings and defines their landscape. Referring to the regional architecture of the selected area and to contemporary foreign practices in the subject of critical regionalism, the author defines the most important features of regional development and solutions that may be a guideline for the design of singlefamily residential buildings. The characteristics emphasize the value of traditional housing architecture, contributing to drawing attention to the preservation of spatial order and building the identity of the region.

The main purpose of the article is to identify the features of landscape and urban of oil and gas companies in the Western region of Ukraine. Twenty-two enterprises which are located in IvanoFrankivsk, Lviv and Ternopil regions were analyzed. The analysis includes: localization of objects and their grouping by functional types taking into account the territorial and historical context; formation of methodical tools, determination of criteria for assessment of landscape and urban properties; the obtained research results are summarized according to the defined evaluation criteria. It is an attempt to find new approaches to the reorganization of facilities, taking into account their condition and functioning.

The article presents five selected architectural objects of Częstochowa, a city located in the southern part of Poland, known all over the world for the foot pilgrimage, the goal of which is Jasna Góra. It is presented how architects, when designing ingenious and modern buildings, at the same time revitalize the past, creating architectural and landscape places that disseminate and bring humanistic, historical and natural knowledge closer to both the residents and newcomers. The research concerns buildings that, in contrast to various functions, play an educational role. In each of them, the architects maintain the cultural and spatial continuity of the city, which received the town rights in the fourteenth century.

As a result of the reductions and liquidating of heavy industry large areas of great potential have been freed up. These areas present an opportunity for urban space in the context of contemporary challenges related to improved quality of life and development of green infrastructure. The article analyses the evolution of the methods of approach to designing post-industrial land. The contemporary approach to space design has been applied in the form of the adaptation project of the Blast Furnace in Ruda Śląska. This demonstrates the potential for its application in a specific real-life situation. This experience finds application in case of adaptations of post-industrial areas in the context of addressing climate changes and developing biodiversity. In the context of shaping the relationship between human and nature in the form of a contemporary reclaimed garden.

A city is accessible when everyone can easily live in it and use its resources. Persons with disabilities are the largest social minority in the world, and it is estimated that a sixth of the European Union’s citizens has a disability. This paper presents a review of current digital technologies that support persons with special needs in functioning in cities. The objective of the paper was to analyze existing digital tools that make city living easier to persons with various disfunctions and to formulate guidelines for the development of new tools that support making urban public spaces and services accessible.

The issue of the visual attractiveness of interiors and their impact on the user is strongly emphasised in the professional preparation of real estate for sale or rental, known as home staging (IAHSP Europe, 2022). However, the issue is poorly researched scientifically. There is also a lack of a clear definition and scope of home staging activities. According to the Authors, the issue is important due to the marketing, economic and sales dimension in the design of architectural interiors. The following article is an overview. It is a summary of the current state of knowledge about the development of the concept of preparing real estate for sale in Poland and in the world. Its purpose is to define the author's definition of home staging based on bibliographic scientific, popular, industry sources and observations of the Polish market.
