Introduccion: Las expectativas parentales son las creencias de los padres respecto al desempeno de sus hijos en algun area especifica. En este estudio se considero, de modo particular, las expectativas de los padres acerca de la conducta prosocial de sus hijos. La conducta prosocial es definida como aquella llevada a cabo voluntariamente con el fin de beneficiar a otros. Objetivo: Desarrollar un instrumento que evalue las expectativas parentales acerca de la prosocialidad de los hijos y evaluar preliminarmente sus propiedades psicometricas. Metodo: Inicialmente, se redacto un pool de 50 items, los cuales fueron sometidos a la evaluacion de 5 jueces expertos. La version ajustada fue administrada a una muestra piloto de 20 padres, quienes evaluaron la comprension y claridad de los reactivos utilizados. Posteriormente la escala revisada fue administrada a 486 padres de ambos sexos (edad: M = 38.6; DE = 9.7) de las provincias de Cordoba, Mendoza, Santa Fe y Entre Rios (Argentina). Se calcularon los estadisticos descriptivos para cada item, el poder discriminativo y el indice de homogeneidad corregido. Resultados: Todos los items resultaron discriminativos (p < .001). A partir de una submuestra de 267 casos, se realizo un AFE que permitio una depuracion inicial de items. Con una submuestra de 219 casos se corroboro la estructura unidimensional del instrumento mediante un AFC. La escala final quedo conformada por 28 reactivos, operacionalizados a traves de un factor, el cual explico un 61 % de la variancia total. La consistencia interna de la escala fue satisfactoria (⍵ = .97). Conclusion: Los analisis realizados hasta el momento indican adecuadas propiedades psicometricas por lo que se infiere que la escala permitira valorar las expectativas parentales acerca de la conducta prosocial de manera satisfactoria en el contexto en que fue estudiada.

The social, economic, physical and psychological adversities to which some child population groups are exposed, seriously compromise their development and performance, reducing their well-being and quality of life. In recent years, studies devoted to the concept of resilience and its measurement have been given great importance because of the contribution that this construct has provided to understand the way in which individuals can cope with crisis and misfortune situations and still be strengthened despite the circumstances. The identification and diagnosis of resilient resources has then become a goal of great significance for psychological discipline. The objective of this study was to systematize the information referring to measurement instruments created and validated in recent years for the assessment of strengths or resilient resources in children of Argentina. For data collection, different scientific studies were analyzed, including journal articles, graduate and postgraduate theses, thus identifying 17 measurement instruments to assess resilient resources in the childhood period. All of them present appropriate psychometric properties and allow to explore validly and reliably the presence of numerous resilient resources in Argentine children.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las experiencias de los pasajeros en el subterraneo de Buenos Aires en relacion con las condiciones de calidad y servicio que perciben que el transporte publico les brinda. Para ello se diseno un estudio exploratorio y se recolecto la informacion a traves de grupos focales. Los resultados indican que los participantes eligen principalmente el subterraneo por su rapidez; y la mayor desventaja se asocia al aglomeramiento de pasajeros. Los participantes no solo priorizan el tiempo de viaje sino trasladarse lo mas tranquilamente posible para disminuir los posibles factores de estres. EnglishThe conditions of travelling influence the well-being of people. This becomes relevant considering that traveling is one of the ten most routine behaviors in life. The objective of this work is to analyze the experiences of passengers in the Buenos Aires subway in relation to quality and service conditions perceived by public transport. For this purpose, an exploratory study was designed, and the information was collected through focus groups. The results indicate that participants mainly choose the subway because of its speed; and the greatest disadvantage is associated with crowding of passengers. Participants not only prioritize the travel time but also to be able to travel as calmly as possible to reduce possible stressors.

The aim of the present study was to investigate whether academic motivation and personality traits predict the welfare of police cadets, while analyzing differences in well-being according to sex and age. The sample consisted of 411 cadets with an average age of 24.08 years (SD = 3.18) belonging to a state police institution. The instruments used were BFI (Big Five Inventory), EMA – M (Learning Goal Scale), MHC– SF (Mental Health Continuum - Short Form) and a sociodemographic questionnaire. The results obtained showed that the greatest positive predictors of well-being were extraversion (t = 3.412; s = .157; p < .01); pleasantness (t = 2,901; s =.144; p < .01); responsibility (t = 3.851; s = 195; p < .01) and goals in relation to learning and mastery of knowledge (t = 2.446; s = .103; p <.05). Similarly, it was found that the only negative predictor was the personality trait neuroticism (t = -3.555; s = -.184; p < .01). Likewise, it was found that there are statistically significant differences in the social well-being (t(410 ) = 1.816, p < .05) between men and women. Finally, it was found that the psychological well-being varied according to age (F(2,411), p < .05) where the older age group presented higher levels of psychological well-being. In terms of total well-being (F(2,411), p < .05), it was found that the greater the age, the greater the total well-being. In view of the results obtained, it can be affirmed that both the personality and the motivation for learning are variables that predict the total well-being of the students. Likewise, it is recorded that levels of well-being vary according to gender and age.

Se recolectaron datos con una encuesta sociodemografica y de datos academicos basicos, asi como con el Inventario para Trastornos de la Personalidad para el DSM‐5 (PID-5). Para analizar diferencias en los dominios y rasgos segun sexo y tipo de carrera se llevaron a cabo analisis de MANOVA. Se calcularon correlaciones r de Pearson para examinar la asociacion de los dominios y rasgos con el rendimiento academico. Se hallo que las mujeres presentaron medias superiores Afecto Negativo, Ansiedad y Labilidad Emocional, y los hombres, en Antagonismo, Busqueda de Atencion, Insensibilidad, Engano, Grandiosidad, Manipulacion, Toma de Riesgo y Excentricidad. Examinado diferencias segun tipo de carrera, se detecto un patron de medias inferiores en los alumnos de Ciencias Humanas. The sample consisted of 453 university students from public and private institutions (52.30% female, 47.70% male) aged between 18 and 35 years (M = 24.26, SD = 3.73). Data were collected using a survey of sociodemographic and basic academic data; as well as the Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (PID-5). In order to analyze differences in domains and traits according to sex and type of career, MANOVA analyzes were carried out. Pearson's r correlations were calculated to examine the association of domains and traits with academic performance. It was found that women presented higher averages in Negative Affectivity, Anxiety and Lability Emotion and men in Antagonism, Attention Search, Insensitivity, Deception, Grandiosity, Manipulativeness, Risk Taking, and Eccentricity. El apoyo social es un constructo multidimensional que posee una perspectiva estructural y una perspectiva funcional. Desde la perspectiva estructural, se enfatiza la noción de red social, que corresponde a los vínculos que una persona posee y que percibe como significativas. La perspectiva funcional hace referencia a las funciones que desempeña esa red, los apoyos que proporciona y sus efectos en el bienestar del sujeto. Las redes se modifican a lo largo de la vida, en cuanto al tamaño y composición de sus vínculos, lo que puede repercutir en el apoyo que proporciona. Por este motivo, el objetivo de esta investigación fue explorar los apoyos más valorados y necesitados durante el curso vital. Para tal fin, se implementó un diseño no experimental transversal, descriptivo con combinación de metodología cuantitativa y cualitativa. La muestra estuvo constituida por 120 sujetos, de ambos sexos, 30 por grupo de edad (20 a 30, 40 a 50, 60 a 70 y 80 a 90) residentes de la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Al total de la muestra se les administró: un cuestionario de datos sociodemográficos que permitió caracterizar la muestra; y una breve entrevista semi-dirigida que exploró cual es el apoyo más valorado y el que se necesita con mayor frecuencia. Los datos fueron analizados de manera cualitativa mediante la generación de categorías y, posteriormente, de manera cuantitativa, utilizando paquetes estadísticos informatizados para Ciencias Sociales. Los resultados evidencian que el apoyo emocional es el más valorado (72%) y más necesitado (37,5%) en todas las franjas etarias.
