Background: Human behavior has been worldwide reported as the main cause of road accidents. It has been mentioned that beliefs probably impress driver’s perception, and consequently, the driving behavior. Taxi drivers account for a high proportion of professional drivers. This study aimed at exploring belief-oriented safety-seeking behaviors in taxi drivers. Methods: In this phenomenological study, eleven drivers were invited from different regions of BLINDED. Using purposeful sampling, six in-depth interviews (IDIs) and one focus group discussion (FGD) were conducted. Findings: In almost all the interviews, the participants highlighted the observance of traffic regulations and concentration on driving were the causes of accidents, however, they adopted other actions to be safe while driving. In this study, three themes emerged. The first two themes (verbal and practical endeavors) were mainly related to religion. Nonetheless, beliefs that were not related to religion (mental endeavors) also emerged. Conclusion: The drivers’ belief-oriented safety precautions are rooted in primary and socio-instrumental control beliefs. In point of view of road traffic safety, investments to change these beliefs does not seem to be necessary.

Acetaminophen (AAP) is a commonly analgesic found in numerous non-prescription pharmaceuticals. High dose and chronic ingestion of AAP caused renal toxicity. This study is designed to assess the possible nephroprotective role of flaxseed oil (FSO) in male rats. Nephrotoxicity was induced in rats via ingested a single dose of AAP (3 g/kg). Five groups of rats were used; Control, AAP, FSO (1.5 ml/kg) + AAP, FSO (3 ml/kg) + AAP, and FSO (4.5 ml/kg) + AAP. Rats were received orally FSO for 30 days and at the 30th day received AAP 1 h before FSO. Serum renal function indices were determined. Also, antioxidants, oxidative stress, and pro-inflammatory cytokines indices were measured in serum. Ingestion of FSO (3 and 4.5 ml/kg) prior to AAP intoxication significantly decreased AAP-induced nephrotoxicity as evidenced by significant decrease in renal functions relative to the AAP group. Prevented the oxidative stress as evidenced by significant increases in SOD and GSH levels, concurrent with a significant decline in MDA level. Besides, there were significant decreases in IL-1α and TNF-α relative to the AAP group. FSO (3 and 4.5 ml/kg) preserved the renal parenchyma, glomerulus and tubules histological features induced by AAP. FSO (4.5 ml/kg) was markedly the most effective dose relative to the two other doses. In conclusion, FSO protects AAP-induced renal toxicity in a dose dependent manner via its potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.

Objective: To assess the knowledge of the Saudi population on peptic ulcer diseases (PUD) and their risk factors. To evaluate their awareness and practices of the preventive methods used in daily practic-es. Methods: This was an online cross-sectional survey that included residents of all five regions of Saudi Arabia regardless of nationality. The survey was distributed in both the Arabic and English languages to approach more individuals from different backgrounds. Results: There were 784 participants, of which 6.1% non-Saudis and 93.9% were Saudis. 63.5 % of participants selected “H. Pylori” as a risk factor that may lead to PUD. Among other risk factors, 39.2% selected smoking and 37.5% selected NSAIDs. There was a statistically significant correlation (p=0.03) between a question about knowing what H. pylori are and the respondents' level of education, with 77.3% of respondents with a high school diploma answering "No" and 63% of respondents with a postgraduate degree answering "Yes". Only 32.8% of the participants knew about H. Pylori, when hands are not washed after using the restroom or before eating or preparing food, pylori can spread. 56% of respondents were unaware that NSAIDs should be taken with or after a meal. In addition, on-ly 50% of smokers were aware that smoking contributed to the pathogenesis of PUD. Conclusion: This research revealed that very little is known about H. Pylori and how it spreads, as well as the adverse effects of NSAIDs and the precautions that must be taken to avoid them. This demon-strates the need for public education about these risk factors and the diseases they may cause, as well as the significance of physician-patient discussions to ensure patients have the necessary knowledge prior to starting NSAID therapy.

Background: Fixed orthodontic appliances especially with orthodontic elastomeric ligatures can increase the risk for development of white spot lesions, which are often irreversible. Due to their huge surface area, silver nanoparticles are effective antimicrobials. Green synthesis employs the use of plant extracts such as Clove and Cardamom which possesses antimicrobial, antiinflammatory and antioxidant properties. Aim: This study aims to discover a novel approach to coat orthodontic elastomeric modules or ligatures with biosynthesized silver nanoparticles using clove and cardamom as plant extract. Materials and methods: Aqueous extract of cardamom and clove was prepared. Biosynthetic silver nanoparticles were synthesised by reacting silver nitrate ions with clove and cardamom extract (as bioreductant). Using a magnetic stirrer and a hot plate, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesised directly on orthodontic elastomeric ligatures. Characterization of silver nanocoated elastomeric ligatures was done using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX). Results: At the end of third day formation of AgNPs were reported by color shifting from orange-red to dark brown. Reducing silver ions to AgNPs, as shown by UV-vis spectroscopy, generated a peak at 462 nm. SEM and EDX confirms the presence of elemental silver on silver nanocoated elastomeric ligatures. Conclusion: An innovative coating technique incorporating magnetic stirrer along with a hot plate allows for the efficient coating of biosynthesized silver nanoparticles on orthodontic elastic ligatures. The SEM and EDX results indicate the structural integrity of the Ag nanoparticles on the biosynthetically produced orthodontic elastic ligatures is enhanced.

Introduction: Azadirachta indica (Neem) may be a rapid-growing plant even in severe drought which shed most of its leaves. The branches are wide and spreading. In this present investigation, we have prepared mouthwash using Stevia and Neem-based silver nanoparticles. Materials And Methods: Azadirachta indica and Stevia rebaudiana plant powder form was taken. 1g of Neem and Stevia extract powder mixed with 100ml of distilled water and then it was boiled, cooled and filtered with filtered paper and allowed to settle and the extract mixture was found to be 50ml and filtered. Results And Discussion :The plant had exhibited a potent cytotoxic effect at higher concentrations. Extracellular synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Neem and Stevia was primarily identified by visual identification; the appearance of silver and whitish colour in reaction mixture indicates nanoparticles. Conclusion :The present study revealed that the silver nanoparticles can be synthesised in a simple eco-friendly method using Neem and Stevia .
