This article is part of a doctoral thesis «The Situation of women porteadoras the Spanish- Moroccan border: The Case of Ceuta.». This article focuses on three key points. The first part of the article it was conducted a historical review of the main contributions of the border theory; the effects of globalization on women; and the globalization and human rights. The second part of this article looks at the methods used to carry out the study, principally, strenuous ethnographic research at the border point and the surrounding areas of the groups studied in this thesis, complemented with in-depth interviews with the main agents involved in the investigation. Grounded Theory was the technique used to analyze the data. Finally, the last part of this article focuses on the principle results obtained during the investigation.

Este numero monografico Volumen 10(2) de la Revista de Paz y Conflictos de la Universidad de Granada, presenta tres enfasis a destacar en la creacion de nuevo conocimiento, la transferencia del mismo y la apropiacion social asociados con el Estudio de los conflictos y la construccion de paz. En este sentido, se plantea un monografico que tiene en cuenta: a) Enfasis educativo y socioeducativo para la Cultura de paz Desde que Johan Galtung (1969) estudiara la triada de las violencias principales, y posteriormente Francisco Jimenez Bautista (2016) -entre otras(os) relevantes investigadoras (es) de la Teoria de los conflictos, de las violencias y de las paces-, reconociera a partir de Johan Galtung, sus distintos conceptos de paces (paz negativa, paz positiva y paz neutra); ha supuesto con especial relevancia para la comunidad cientifica en el reto de lo aplicado (especialmente dentro de los campos de la intervencion humana social y educativa), el ejercicio de las practicas educativas y psico-socioeducativas para la paz en los entornos comunitarios, escolares o familiares. Este monografico intenta abrir un espacio de dialogo entre estos temas, aborda algunos estudios sobre paz y conflictos, ademas, sin olvidarnos de violencia, desde la Pedagogia para la paz desde lo escolar (dentro de los contextos e instituciones educativas formales en relacion con la resolucion pacifica de los conflictos, la convivencia escolar o la interculturalidad), dando cierto protagonismo a lo curricular (Del Pozo, 2016). Desde otros estudios, o complementarios con el abordaje anterior, se presentan investigaciones centradas en lo pedagogico-social. La Pedagogia Social, «favorece practicas ciudadanas, relacionales, socio-afectivas o socioculturales para la paz, el bienestar y el progreso social con enfasis en la cotidianidad de las relaciones y de los procesos dialecticos, de acompanamiento o de encuentro. Al mismo tiempo, apoyan la participacion sociocultural de la transformacion politica y ciudadana, en base a los Derechos Humanos con el compromiso de las instituciones sociales desde la transformacion social» (Del Pozo, 2017: 106). Es en estas educaciones que se interviene en la neutralizacion de las violencias culturales (Jimenez, 2014) desde acciones comunitarias, se procura la mediacion en las violencias directas o se participa desde la resistencia ciudadana por los cambios en las violencias estructurales que vulneran los Derechos Humanos, como las personas mas invisibles de nuestras sociedades. b) Enfasis en el conflicto colombiano y el proceso de paz El conflicto colombiano, supone a nivel internacional uno de los principales focos de estudio en relacion con las violencias y la construccion de paz. The Almeria municipality of El Ejido in the western part of Almeria faces an unprecedented migratory reality as in the whole of Spain. For this study, we assessed the socio-demographic variables and the perceived realistic threat as risk factors that could influence the level of anxiety over perceived symbolic threat in the Municipality of El Ejido (Almeria). Ordinal logit models were adjusted for the identification of risk factors according to the type of variables considered, as well as for the classification of individuals at a specific level of response. The predicted causes of classification were interpreted at one level, in the variables that proved to be significant and could be considered as risk factors.

In recent years, the European Public Health Systems have been mired in the worst financial crisis in its history, pointing to the welfare state as the main responsible for it. The objective of this work has been to analyze the extent to which the economic crisis that began in 2008 has affected the social policies and inequalities in health, specifying the effects of this on the health of the population. To properly analyze the current situation, it is important to know to what extent the economic crisis has affected the health of populations and in particular, certain vulnerable groups (children, elderly, women, others). Contrary to the recent UN resolution urging governments to provide universal access and quality of health services, the tendency has been to prioritize the reduction in the deficit through austerity measures focused on health and education. The effects of this health crisis depends on the social protection policies undertaken, and its extension of services to the most vulnerable groups, as these crises have been associated with an increase in most diseases, mainly mental, as well as an increase in suicide mortality.

The rise of the academic and epistemological study of peace appears at the dawn of the twentieth century as an explosion of diverse, intense and profound reflections on the causes, forms and constructions of both violence and peace. The broad approach to peace has permeated spaces, environments and subjects that must be understood as agents of change. Under the methodology of the paradigm of mixed research, through this article it is intended to show the possibility, probability and potentiality that youth - as subjects spatially located and formed in a given context - have to build, from creativity and diversity, moments and scenarios of peace.

At the moment of their exit from the protection system, the youth face a number of conflicts. This helps to develop ways to resolve them, which in some cases, results in the appearance of the resilience. This study’s goal was, precisely, to identify the degree, the factors, and the characteristics and sources of resilience used to face conflicts by Colombian youth leaving the foster care system. A mixed design was used with a concurrent triangulation strategy. A total of 53 youth, which had been under protection for at least two years and had left the system being of legal age, took part of the study. The instruments used were the resilience scale RS-25 and the phenomenological interview. The data from the scale was processed from descriptive statistics through SPSS and the data from the interview from open and axial coding through Atlas Ti. The results showed how this group presented a moderately high level of resilience, getting the best score on the factor of personal competence and features such as: independence, self-trust and persistence. They used sources as reflection and change, network building, spiritual life, work and education and the support from professionals to resolve problematic situations. The findings are key for interventions, which can be developed by professionals for this youth group and others with similar characteristics.
