The opportunity to learn is one of the factors of the work environment that influences job satisfaction. This article aims at showing the impact of lifelong learning opportunities on job satisfaction. The quantitative research was carried out among employees of Dean’s offices in Polish public and private universities. The study used the MOAQ-JSS job satisfaction questionnaire, the satisfaction with remuneration questionnaire, and the proprietary lifelong learning questionnaire. The statistical effect of mediation was examined using the regression analysis method. The impact of learning opportunities offered by the employer on job satisfaction was noted. Satisfaction with remuneration turned out to be a partial mediator of this dependence. Satisfaction with remuneration, in turn, increases job satisfaction. These dependencies are independent of the age of the employees. The article contributes to a better understanding of the factors influencing job satisfaction and the motivational role of lifelong learning.

Samoorganizacja pracy i planowanie działań z perspektywy oczekiwanych kompetencji w gospodarce 4.0. Przykład badań nad młodym pokoleniem

Economy 4.0 will be based on a labour market of people who have both technological Economy 4.0 will be based on a labor market of people who have both technological and professional competences. This means that the role of human capital as a launching technology factor will increase, and people who can function in the cyber-physical world will become the most sought-after employees. In this context, it becomes important to reflect on the expected competences of people who are active on the labor market, especially those who will co-create the new economy. These individuals are the young generation who will enter the labor market, and their decisions will affect social and economic processes. The article is based on the results of empirical research carried out as part of the project “New Generation in the New Economy”. The project aims to develop a methodology for cyclical assessment of the economic preparedness of youth for technological revolutions. The research team have developed tools that successfully simulate future challenges which the young generation will face while choosing their career paths. The results presented in this study are based on the task entitled “Self-organization of work and planning activities”. The task is structured according to the idea that realization of plans is possible only when an individual can put them into practice, facilitating economic and social success. The results of the study have shown that students, while remaining in the current education system, have not acquired the analyzed competences at a sufficient level.

RAMI 4.0 w transformacji cyfrowej przedsiębiorstwa - studium przypadku RAMI 4.0在企业数字化转型中的应用

The implementation of the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) operator panel on the production line is a new stage of the digital transformation of a paints and varnishes manufacturer in the SMEs sector. As part of an innovation plan, the process of production data acquisition was restructured, by means of IT (Information Technology), into an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. The introduction of an HMI panel made it possible to digitalize data acquisition and operation reporting to the ERP system. The digital transformation of the SME 4.0 company was modelled on the Industry 4.0 trend solutions. The specialized model, developed according to RAMI 4.0 (Reference Architecture Model Industry 4.0), effected change of a partial and local nature in the enterprise. The data is now entered directly into the production area by the employees on the technological line, once they have logged in to the ERP system. Access to digital production data obtained from a SSOT (single source of truth) benefited all those who used the ERP system. A postimplementation analysis of a two-year application of the restructured data acquisition process indicates the business areas which profit from digital operational data acquisition and higher quality production reporting.

Diagram Ishikawy w dydaktyce akademickiej na specjalnościach nauczycielskich 石川图在师范专业学术教学中的应用

The article shows a new perspective on teaching students to diagnose the causes of complex problems using dedicated tools, such as the Ishikawa diagram. The theoretical part discusses why complex diagnosis of problems is an essential element of a teacher’s work. The author describes the heterogeneity of the school environment and its dependence on the network of relationships with the family and social environment as well as the mental and physical condition of individual students. This part of the article also describes the changes in the structure of the Ishikawa diagram, and examples of how it has been modified in various fields of knowledge. The empirical part is a report on constructing a students’ exemplary diagram. This part discusses using the Ishikawa diagram in the humanities to illustrate the causes of the reading problem among children and adolescents. An analysis was conducted of building expert knowledge by people actively involved in the learning process. The article’s author argues that the Ishikawa diagram is a valuable element in academic teaching, because reflection on any complex problem using visualization methods prepares students to diagnose potential issues in future professional work. The conclusions emphasize the importance of students’ independent reflection on complex problems. Accordingly, the author asks about the primary goal of university education.

Digital competences, involving the responsible and critical use of information and communication technologies in various areas of our lives, are today one of the key competences of the twenty-first century. In the face of the ongoing digital revolution, their importance in various fields of education is growing as well. The aim of the article is to show the role of digital competences in language education from the perspective of the modern generation – active users of modern technologies. Based on the theoretical aspects of the discussed issues, surveys were conducted the main goal of which was the analysis of personal opinions of learners (representatives of the digital natives community) on the role of digital competences in various activities of the glottodidactic process. The research was conducted among students of neophilological specialties of the bachelor’s programme at the University of Silesia. The scope of use and assessment of the usefulness of digital competences in the process of teaching-learning foreign languages and the definition and self-assessment of own e-skills was of particular interest. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the research material confirmed the important role of e-skills in developing both communication and language competences and learning strategies, also from the perspective of learners. Given the significant usefulness of digital competences in didactic activities, improving them is undoubtedly one of the priority tasks of modern education.

Wypalenie zawodowe wśród pracowników oświaty - metody pomiaru i przegląd badań realizowanych w Polsce

Burnout is traditionally associated with the so-called helping profession, welfare, social, mission. This also includes the teaching profession, which involves great responsibility. Any dysfunctions and reduced efficiency in the work of a teacher may have major, including social, consequences. This study presents the burnout syndrome among educational workers (especially teachers), taking into account factors contributing to individual, interpersonal and organizational burnout. At the same time, efforts were made to indicate the organizational and social specificity of education in Poland. The aim of the study is to indicate how the problem of burnout was studied in Poland in the 2010–2020. The author was aimed to determine the most common subject of research and what measurement tools were used by the researchers. An analysis was conducted of dozens of selected publications presenting the results of empirical research on occupational burnout among employees in the Polish education system (published in 2010–2020). As a result, it was possible to identify the dominant areas and methods of research in this area, indicate their limitations, and present alternatives.

Nowadays, a challenge faced by all entrepreneurs is acquiring the ability to function in the reality of recurring economic crises, while at the same time obliging company management entities to verify the current methods of operation and their effectiveness in terms of crisis resilience. The purpose of this article is to present a created model of organisational culture characterised by a high degree of resilience to crisis, and then to demonstrate the possibility of its application in economic reality by entrepreneurs and stakeholders. The research process focuses on demonstrating the interdependencies between selected cultural features (dependent variables) and crisis resilience (dependent variable). As part of the model, the most important features of organisational culture have been distinguished, understood as the basic predictors of the resilience of organisational culture to crisis, such as: customer orientation, employee trust, transparency of activities, employee well-being, supporting managerial staff, creativity, employee loyalty, respect for others. The use of the model boils down not only to enabling verification of whether the current organisational culture of a given company can be considered resilient, but also indicates the direction of changes (desired culture) in the case of the willingness to transform in terms of shaping the culture of an organisation aiming at a culture of resilience.

The professional activity and economic situation of people with disabilities in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic 新冠肺炎大流行背景下的残疾人职业活动和经济状况

One of the most important activities of every human being is professional activity, but for people with disabilities the possibility to work has an additional dimension of social rehabilitation. Despite the existence of many forms of assistance and activities aimed at reducing the phenomenon of their exclusion from society, they still struggle with the problem of undertaking appropriate professional activity, with the COVID-19 pandemic adding to the already difficult situation. So what is the current professional activity and economic situation of people with disabilities? In the context of the research gap, attempts have been made to answer the research question: Has the COVID-19 pandemic led to a deterioration in the level of professional activity of people with disabilities and their situation? The main objective of the study was to assess the economic situation of people with disabilities and their professional activity at two different times - before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. A research hypothesis was formulated, assuming that the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative impact on the professional activity of people with disabilities and their economic situation. The article includes an analysis of the national literature on the subject, with an empirical part based on a secondary analysis of existing data. Descriptive statistics of the indicators of the tested variables were made together with an analysis of the normality of distributions using the Shapiro-Wilk test. An analysis with Student's t-tests and a two-factor analysis of variance in the 2x2 model were also performed. As a result of the statistical study, the research hypothesis was not confirmed.

Digital skills in the workplace - from the employees' and supervisors' perspective 从员工和主管的角度看工作场所的数字技能

For a long time digital skills, due to their relational and relative nature, have been a challenge for researchers trying to create a framework catalogue of these competences. As technology develops and the working environment changes, this task is becoming increasingly difficult and the gradation of digital skills is getting less and less clear. Employers and managers have similar doubts: What does it mean that an employee has digital skills? How can you assess their level? How can you check whether an employee's digital skills will help them fulfil their tasks? Since the pandemic, emphasis has been put on the importance of the digital competences of employees, with many companies adapting the way they operate to the new conditions (remote work, hybrid work). Despite many existing compilations it is difficult to find a unified method of assessing digital skills in modern workplaces. In this article the author presents the results of research on digital skills of employees of a financial company. The DigComp model was applied as the technical basis of the research, which allowed for a diagnosis of digital skills in specific areas (qualitative research). The other part of the research compares employees' claims with their supervisor's description of their digital skills (qualitative research) on the operational level - in a professional environment. The research showed discrepancies in the perception of employees' digital skills related to cybersecurity, the use of digital tools for streamlining work processes, as well as keeping a work-life balance.

The COVID-19 pandemic and organisational changes in education, such as periodic school closings, the introduction of distance learning, and the introduction of hybrid learning, shook the education systems in many countries around the world. During this crisis, society needed time to introduce changes and adapt to them, along with rebuilding the self-confidence of teachers and students. This article presents 4 challenges faced by the education sector in the pandemic: 1) How to ensure appropriate conditions for distance learning? 2) How to prevent school absenteeism and keep children and teenagers motivated to learn remotely? 3) How to maintain learning levels and monitor educational losses? 4) What remedial programmes to introduce? These challenges are discussed in the context of the experience of the Polish education system from the perspective of data collected in 4 European countries (Belgium, France, Greece, and Poland) while implementing the KEEP project under the Erasmus + programme, which focuses on methods of keeping secondary school students engaged in the learning process by using digital practices and tools tested during the pandemic. The project is also expected to result in supporting teachers' professional development and developing their digital pedagogical competencies.
