The industry has expressed significant concern regarding the issue of parallel machines and the influence of learning and deterioration. This research investigates non-identical parallel machine scheduling, taking into account the simultaneous consideration of learning effects, deterioration, and past-sequence-dependent setup times. Due to the existence of uncertain parameters in real-world scenarios, the processing times and due dates are assumed to be triangular fuzzy numbers. A fuzzy nonlinear mathematical model with two objective functions is presented and solved using the fuzzy Chance Constraint Programming approach. The two objectives are the summation of earliness and tardiness, as well as makespan. To achieve an efficient near-optimal Pareto front for the problem, a hybrid NSGA-II and VNS multi-objective meta-heuristic is proposed and the results are discussed. Finally, the augmented ε-constraint method is utilized to address issues with small dimensions. The computational analysis demonstrates the effectiveness of this proposed algorithm in tackling problems, especially those with substantial dimensions.

Traditional project management methods have been used for many years in the implementation and management of projects. With the publication of the agile manifesto in 2001, the interest in agile methods increased and successful results were obtained in the execution and solution of complex projects with agile approaches. Agile approach consists of different structures that can be named as framework or method. Among these agile methods, which are selected and applied according to the suitability and purpose of the project, the most frequently preferred one is SCRUM. In this study, SCRUM, an agile project management technique that has been used frequently in recent years in order to develop a flexible project management process, has been examined, and the effectiveness of the events of the SCRUM technique in minimizing the risks that arise in project management has been evaluated. Determining the effectiveness of these SCRUM events, which each agile project team implements in turn, is very important for the correct and effective allocation of resources. For this purpose, a multi-criteria decision-making model has been proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of 4 SCRUM events within the scope of this study. While the importance weights of the 24 project management risk factors proposed in the solution phase of the created model were determined by the SWARA method, the SCRUM events were evaluated with the WASPAS, COPRAS and EDAS methods and the solution values found by three different methods were compared.

The time-cost optimization is amongst the most critical fields, which has an extensive range of implementation in project scheduling. Achieving a satisfactory balance between these factors can lead to an efficient construction project by reducing both the length of the project and costs at the same time. An effective balance can be achieved using various methods, depending on the situation. This study aims to incorporate the various algorithms used in the last 15 years to reach a satisfying balance between time and cost, including meta-heuristics, heuristics, and exact algorithms. A comprehensive view of the problems associated with time-cost optimization will be provided throughout this review to assist new and challenging researchers who are interested in this type of research. For this purpose, we have reviewed some objective functions and uncertainty techniques that could be employed in time-cost balancing problems. The literature review tables contain a variety of columns, including uncertainties such as fuzzy, probabilistic, interval, robust, and objective functions, along with cost and time, for the investigation of various types of balance issues. In the conclusion of this article, we will show the results of our literature review table using different types of graphic diagrams. For each main column of the table, we will show various types of diagrams to make the results easier to understand.

In this paper, the authors proffer a novel mathematical model for the simultaneous optimization of facility location and network design in the presence of uncertainty, with the aim of minimizing operational and transportation costs. The proposed model constitutes a departure from conventional methods in its consideration of probable events in the real world and the incorporation of uncertainty assumptions into the mathematical framework. An algorithm based on simulated annealing is then advanced for the solution of the problem, and the performance of the algorithm is evaluated through comparison with exact methods for problems of modest size, as well as with a basic simulated annealing algorithm for larger problems. The results of these comparisons demonstrate the superiority of the proposed meta-heuristic algorithm. Finally, the robust approach is compared with four other approaches in the presence of uncertainty, with a thorough analysis of the results obtained from each of the methods conducted in a suite of sample problems.

This bibliographical review gives us a clear and summarized analysis of the management tools for a water infrastructure construction project and, a tool that allows the management of water resources through the application of everything analyzed and compiled in scientific articles obtained from the Scopus database and after that it was analyzed using the VOSviewer tool, which has the complexity of analyzing a large amount of data. This analysis was carried out from the appearance of the first related investigations until the year 2023, analysis graphs were obtained from representative levels of the words “artificial intelligence”, “project management” of “construction” and “water” resource with greater interest in the analysis. The results obtained allowed us to understand the great variety of technological tools that are available today to be able to manage the construction of a project through artificial intelligence and its components that work together, likewise the application of these tools is carried out by countries as well as the United States. The United States and China are the ones that represent the greatest interest in these investigations, however this contribution is minimal to be able to generate effective solutions since each project presents its particular characteristics that technology has to adapt to. The future of these projects was also analyzed, such as the management of water resources through intelligent technologies that allow the preservation, care and maintenance of water resources, in addition to this, it is emphasized that worldwide there are already problems of droughts, lack of water resources and shortages of water in some countries. This research has the purpose of an overview for decision-making in the execution of the project at the water level and after the management of the water resource, it is important to apply these tools for their different advantages and carry it out to large-scale works in Peru subsidized by the Peruvian state since they are the most responsible for ensuring the care, maintenance and preservation of water resources.

In this paper, the authors aim to analyse organisational intention and focus on hybrid project management (HPM) methodology adoption in FinTech system software development. It is important to ascertain the internal and external factors that affect organisational decision-makers’ intentions towards HPM adoption. This study aims to apply a theoretical approach integrating Technology-Organisation-Environment (TOE), which examines the factors that impact FinTech organisations’ decisions to adopt HPM into their software development projects, together with the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) which examines the behavioural intention. It addresses those factors that form organisational decision-makers’ readiness for HPM implementation and enable their intention to use it. When combining the independent, dependent, and moderating variables, the results show that the effect of relative advantage, top management support, and industry pressure have a positive influence on individual’s attitude towards HPM adoption in FinTech Malaysia and sustainability in Quality 4.0. The authors also considered the influence of attitudes and perceived behavioural control variables having a positive influence on sustainable intention of HPM adoption in the FinTech industry. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to verify the proposed hypotheses, with the exception of the direct influence of top management support or attitude on intention to adopt.

Tourism village development projects have become attractive to the community during the Covid 19 Pandemic and after. This condition is caused by many people in urban areas who wish to travel to natural and indigenous cultural destinations. Tourism village development is a process that emphasizes ways to develop or advance tourist villages. Village green tourism development projects through natural and cultural destinations are expected to provide sustainable village economic sustainability. The distribution of questionnaires to obtain the potential for village tourism development was determined by the project team that will develop in identifying, assigned consultants and key people from local villages, including leaders with a total of 46 respondents. Data processing looks at the relationship between village economic sustainability and village economic sustainability through natural and cultural tourism potential using partial least squares. The data processing results show that the village tourism development project has a positive effect on nature tourism potential, cultural tourism potential, and village economic sustainability by increasing the welfare of local communities. The nature tourism potential of the village, which has attractive mountains and a reliable source of agricultural products, is capable of impacting the local community's interest. Cultural tourism potential owned by the village with attractive tourist performances on a regular and well-scheduled basis and the ability of the village to show dance performances that reveal their identity can impact the village's economic sustainability. The village green tourism development project is set in the finalization stage of project planning by considering the project completion time.

In reality, the machines may interrupt because of the nature of deterioration of the machines. Thus, it is inevitable to perform maintenance alongside production planning. The preventive maintenance is a schedule of strategic operations that are performed prior to the failure occurring, to retain the system operating at the preferred level of consistency. Thus, preventive maintenance plays a significant role in flow shop scheduling models. With its practical significance, this study addresses a practical three-machine n jobs flow shop-scheduling problem (FSSP) in which machine specific preventive maintenance, where each machine is given with a maintenance schedule is considered. In addition, a practical ordered precedence constraint in which some set of jobs has to process in the specified order irrespective of their processing times is also considered. The problem’s goal is to establish the optimal job sequence and preventive maintenance such that the overall cost of tardiness and preventive maintenance is as minimum as possible. An efficient heuristic approach is designed to tackle the present model, resulting in total cost savings. A comparative analysis is not conducted due to absence of studies on the current problem in the literature. However, Computational experiments are carried out on some test instances and results are reported. The reported results may be useful for future studies.
