Dylematy nauczyciela akademickiego kierującego seminarium magisterskim w ramach studiów tłumaczeniowych

The following paper discusses the role of an MA seminar and an MA thesis in the process of education of professional translators who are more oriented toward gaining knowledge and skills instead of research activities. The Author, basing upon own experiences, aims to present dilemmas which academic teachers face while conducting such seminars as well as to explain how they can target students’ actions, so they can combine research activities with professional practice as part of a given educational path.
本文探讨了硕士研讨班和硕士论文在专业翻译教育过程中的作用,这些专业翻译更倾向于获得知识和技能,而不是研究活动。作者根据自己的经验,旨在提出学术教师在开展此类研讨会时面临的困境,并解释他们如何针对学生的行动,以便他们将研究活动与专业实践结合起来,作为给定教育路径的一部分。

Norma i uzus w dydaktyce przekładu specjalistycznego wobec oczekiwań rynku pracy

The author focuses on issues related to university teaching of interpretation and translation: consecutive interpretation and sight translation in respect of a specialist language, in particular the economic one. The starting point for further considerations is the presentation of the characteristics of the above-mentioned specialist language and the question regarding the role and importance of specialist knowledge and quality criteria in the process of interpretation and translation teaching. From the viewpoint of author’s own teaching and practical experience, an attempt is made to diversify priorities, goals and methodological approaches in relation to the above-mentioned forms of interpretation and translation. Market requirements and expectations of potential employers, resulting from job advertisements, become of a particular importance in this context, as they need to be taken into consideration in order to optimize teaching of interpretation and translation.
笔者着重探讨了大学口译和笔译教学的相关问题:专业语言特别是经济语言的交替传译和视译。进一步考虑的出发点是上述专业语言特征的呈现,以及专业知识和质量标准在口译和翻译教学过程中的作用和重要性问题。笔者从自己的教学和实践经验出发,尝试对上述口译和笔译形式的重点、目标和方法途径进行多元化的探讨。在这种情况下,来自招聘广告的市场需求和潜在雇主的期望变得尤为重要,因为为了优化口译和笔译教学,需要考虑到这些需求和期望。

The text hereby presented is written in the form of an essay and, at the same time, it promotes this form – as a particular, cognitively efficient model of philosophical as well scientific investigations. It contains analytical deliberations on the sophisticated relations between  a philosophical text and its nominal author who is governed by the internal logic of the narration and who ‘vanishes’ while writing. There are also the issues of an author’s professional methodological responsibility for the writing as well as the creative-interpretational function of addressees taken into account. Some necessary references to the philosophy of science as well as the philosophy of language are present in the essay, too. And within this scope, an explanatory narration is identified with a parameterization of the world being explained or described; and the so-called description always remains preferential. A significant part of the article contains some remarks about the Polish education system in the context of both tradition and perspectives of the development of European culture. What is particularly stressed is the role of the humanities in the process of educating young people who should be responsible enough to take care of the axio-variety of human culture in the future. Therefore, the conceptions of the so-called area ethics and culture enrichment ethics are emphasized as well.

Geolektalne pułapki języka hiszpańskiego w praktyce przekładu pisemnego i ustnego

In the translatological perspective, the pluricentricity and big number of standard varietes of the Spanish language is a challenge, especially at the semantic and lexical level, as well as the phonetics and pragmatics are concerned. This study is an attempt to present the complexity and multidimensionality of the problem. On the basis of selected specific examples, the paper shows how the ability to recognize and distinguish specific geolects equips a translator/interpreter of Spanish with the tools of effective communication and a culture oriented interpretation.
从翻译学的角度来看,西班牙语的多中心性和大量的标准变体是一个挑战,特别是在语义和词汇层面,以及语音和语用方面。本研究试图呈现该问题的复杂性和多维性。本文在选取具体案例的基础上,展示了识别和区分特定地理位置的能力如何为西班牙语翻译/口译人员提供有效的沟通工具和文化导向的口译。

Dylemat audiodeskryptora w procesie przekładu audiowizualnego

The aim of this article is to point out the dilemma concerning the transmission of emotions which faces the audio descriptor when creating audio description for painting reproductions. It will indicate the importance of visual forms, dependencies between the translator, translation and emotions, as well as different approaches to the creation of audio description, with particular emphasis on the transfer of emotions. The theoretical considerations will be supplemented by a qualitative analysis of two emotionally colored audio descriptions.
本文的目的是指出在为绘画复制品创作音频描述时,音频描述者所面临的情感传递困境。它将指出视觉形式的重要性,译者之间的依赖关系,翻译和情感,以及不同的方法来创建音频描述,特别强调情感的传递。理论方面的考虑将辅以定性分析两个情感色彩音频描述。

W artykule przedstawiono model spójności  komunikatu multimodalnego skonstruowany z perspektywy modelu przetwarzania tekstu Event-Indexing Model. Podejście to pozwala na wyróżnienie dwóch perspektyw analizy spójności komunikatu multimodalnego: paralelnej oraz sekwencyjnej. Umożliwia także porównanie stopnia spójności różnych typów komunikatów multimodalnych oraz przewidywanie wpływu zmian poziomu spójności na przetwarzanie komunikatu. Proponowany model daje możliwość analizy spójności zarówno z punktu widzenia odbiorcy, jak i nadawcy komunikatu.
