Conservation and study of introduced herbal perennials in the Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden 极地高寒植物园引进草本多年生植物的保护与研究

The collection fund of perennial plants of the Polar-Alpine Botanical Garden includes 2535 specimens of 1409 species from 1204 genera of 270 families. 59 species are included in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and need the protection. Methods for the selection of material for the collection and the study of the rhythm of growth and development of plants are presented. The creation of a unique collection of relocated plants is the main result of the introduction of herbaceous plants. This is a repository of the gene pool of rare species, as well as a kind of testing ground for scientific and scientific-educational work.

Biological characteristics of the Khibiny population of Coccinella septempunctata L. (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae) 七星瓢虫希宾种群的生物学特性(鞘翅目,瓢虫科)

The main biological characteristics of the natural entomophage Coccinella septempunctata L. were studied. In several generations, data were obtained on the most important parameters: fecundity, duration of preimaginal stages of development and life of the adult at the optimal temperature. These indicators do not significantly change from generation to generation, which allows us to conclude that it is advisable to conduct artificial selection for the formation of a uterine laboratory culture of C. septempunctata and to include it in the complex of biological agents for the protection of greenhouse plants against pests.

Strongly mosaic community rich in species was located in the mountain-tundra belt of the Khibiny Mts. The species of the community form two groups of species related to each other by positive correlations. There are six species in common for two groups. In the smaller group there are almost no negative correlations, in the larger one there is a division into subgroups with a large number of negative correlations between subgroups. Plants with a dwarf -shrub life form often avoid each other.

On vascular flora of the Olonetsky Federal Nature Reserve (Republic of Karelia) 卡累利阿共和国奥罗涅茨基联邦自然保护区维管植物区系研究

Olonetsky Nature Reserve (Zakaznik), located in Southern Karelia, was established in 1986 in an area of 27000 hectares. Surveys have detected 447 species of vascular plants, including 372 (83,2 %) native and 75 (16,8 %) alien ones. The shore dunes and sandy beaches of Lake Ladoga, as well as black alder swamps in depressions between ancient levees harbored the most distinctive flora. Festuca sabulosa, Hypopitys monotropa, Jovibarba globifera, Oenanthe aquatica, and Viola stagnina are red-listed in Karelia; seven more species are in need of monitoring. The spread of the aggressive invasive species Rosa rugosa is of particular concern.

Collected data on flora and vegetation, as well as herbarium and botanical garden collections are characterized, and their promptness for publication in ID is evaluated. Non-digital data are possible to be published as metadata.

The paper represents the results of structure and dynamics studies of secondary forest types shaped by forest cuts performed at different periods. The dominant canopy layer tree species is Betula pubescens Ehrh. In the areas cut in 1995, it forms a thick contiguous canopy layer with none of the conifers participating, with open gaps dominated by Deschampsia cespitosa (L.) Beauv and Calamagrostis langsdorffii (Link) Trin. In the 1980 cuts the Betula stands are sparser, have a secondary conifer tree layer, which in future will out-compete and predominate Betula.

Botanico-geographycal research of Poa glauca Vahl (Poaceae) 紫豆科紫豆的植物学地理学研究

The distribution of the Poa glauca aggregate has been specified and a digital map of its distribution has been compiled. An analysis of quantitative characters using the principal component analysis was carried out and a comparison of the frequencies of the states of some qualitative character states were undertaken to identify the morphological homogeneity of the three Eurasian races. These studies did not reveal differences in quantitative traits, but found differences in the frequencies of qualitative traits. These differences may be caused by hybridization with different native species.

Temperature regime of umbrisols, Western Spitsbergen 斯匹次卑尔根群岛西部伞形植物的温度状况

The air and profile of Umbrisols in the south-western part of Svalbard are characterized by negative average annual temperatures. The duration of the period with positive temperatures at the depth of the umbric horizon (8–10 cm) is 128 days; the sum of positive temperatures is about 500 оС. The distribution of average monthly temperatures in all horizons in the profile of 0–60 cm in the annual cycle reliably correlates with air temperature.

The duration of the period with positive temperatures at the depth of the umbric horizon (8–10 cm) is 128 days; the sum of positive temperatures is about 500 оС.
