In the emerging time of the new National Education Policy, the current scenario of the education system demands multiple changes for the sustainable future of the nation, and the present and upcoming generations. The present education system is good enough to increase the literacy rate, however, a state like Kerala has a hundred percent literacy rate compared to any other state of India; yet for employment and education, a major part of the population of the state migrates to various states or countries. The high literacy rate is no more a concern of time; people are quite aware of the social things around them without formal education, due to social media or the revolution of technology. However, the recent trends in every field need an upgraded version of formal education. The fourth goal out of UNESCO’s sixteen SDGs focuses on quality education for a better future. The present research paper discusses the current situation of the Indian education system and the implementation of the new approaches required for a strong education policy through the newly emerging NEP for the welfare of the progeny and the country, which also supports UNESCO’s SDGs for global welfare. The research is developed on secondary data with critical analysis and exhaustive reading. Besides this abstract provides a concise overview of the key global dynamics shaping the field of teacher education in the 21st century. In an era characterized by rapid technological advancements, cultural diversity, and evolving educational philosophies, teacher education faces complex challenges and promising opportunities. This paper explores the multifaceted landscape of global dynamics in teacher education, including policy harmonization, technology integration, inclusivity, 21st-century competencies, professional development, research-based practices, sustainability, public-private partnerships, teacher shortages, and crisis preparedness. This abstract underscore the critical importance of addressing these global dynamics in teacher education to meet the evolving needs of learners and societies worldwide. Policymakers, educators, institutions, and researchers must work collaboratively to navigate these challenges and seize the opportunities they present, ultimately shaping a brighter future for education on a global scale.

The issue of COVID-19 ravaging the global community can be likened to one of the works of the famous Nigerian writer, late Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart with the center despite all efforts, defiling holding together on all aspects of human endeavor. Despite the discovery of Covid-19 vaccines and its consequent administration for mitigating the effects of the pandemic, information is replete about the continuous and astronomical increase in the number of victims of the virus. The multiplier effects of the pandemic on occupation, education, economic, religious, socio-cultural practices, agricultural activities, food production and distribution, among others cannot be over-emphasized, hence, this study. Qualitative design was adopted for this study as action research with eighty participants sampled from Oyo Township of Oyo State, Nigeria through purposive sampling technique among various strata of the society. Participant Observation (PO), Key Informants (KI) and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) techniques were adopted in data collection analyzed through triangulation of instruments of content analysis and categorization of ideas coupled with tables, frequency counts and simple percentages. Result revealed that: more female than male participated in the study (43/37; 53.75%/46.25%); most participants are above middle age (53.75% and 46.25%); participants cut across the three dominant religious sects (Muslim, 36, 45.00%; Christian, 29, 36.25%; ATR, 15, 18.75%); most of the participants are literate (68, 85.00%). Content analysis and observations indicators revealed that Nigeria is not spared from Covid-19 pandemic; solid relationships exist among religious beliefs, socio-cultural practices, food security and Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, sustainable mitigating measures devoid of further complications need be pursued in the SSA nations; government, stakeholders and the civil society must be enlisted in the efforts to ameliorate the pandemic.

The Kamasutra is an ancient text guiding the sensual and sexual life of men and women in society. The text authored by Mallinga Vatsyayana is a work of art describing the variety of human sexual conduct and its pursuit from the time the person is in the Grihastha ashrama or the householder’s stage of existence. This included men, women and the third gender. The Grihastha stage begins from the time studentship stage of Brahmacharya Ashrama ends and the person enters the stage of a householder where the person begins a professional career, acquires sources of income, gets married and begets children. The main protagonist of the Kamasutra, the “nagaraka” after acquiring education, sets up a lifestyle for himself, follows duties, participates in festivities, attends social gatherings, etc. The nagaraka also has a set of social skills and etiquettes to follow; maintain a wardrobe full of various attires for each function and makes efforts to maintain personal grooming; hosting and entertaining family, friends, lovers, courtesans and acquaintances, conduct business trade and maintain networking in social circles as well as indulge in cultural pursuits. Women had to focus on grooming, acquiring skills, maintaining the household and balancing between various relationships. But nowhere has Vatsyayana focused on mentioning stages of life where one procreates or prepares for Vanaprastha Ashrama or Sanyasa Ashrama or pursuit of Moksha or liberation. These aspects of the life of a commoner need to be explored at greater lengths in the academic arena for a holistic study on the great monumental work of Vatsyayana as Kamasutra is only seen as a work on sexual positions and portrayals. The current study proposes to explore various facets of the Grihastha life spelled out explicitly and implicitly by the author and aspects missed or avoided by him in the greater good of life. As we spend a large part of our life as householders, the views expressed by Vatsyayana hold good and true in these contemporary times as well which needs to be investigated exhaustively.

This abstract delves into the dynamic interplay between community psychology and cross-cultural psychology, highlighting their roles in promoting psychological well-being, addressing social issues, and fostering a deeper understanding of cultural diversity. Community psychology focuses on the reciprocal relationship between individuals and their communities, emphasizing the importance of context in shaping human behavior and well-being. By employing an ecological perspective, community psychologists strive to empower communities, prevent social problems, and advocate for social justice. This approach recognizes the impact of various factors, including economic disparities, social support networks, and neighborhood environments, on individual psychological experiences. Cross-cultural psychology, on the other hand, investigates the intricate connections between culture and psychology. It seeks to uncover both universal and culturally specific aspects of human behavior, cognition, and emotion. By comparing psychological phenomena across cultures, cross-cultural psychologists illuminate the diverse ways in which cultural norms, values, and traditions influence individuals’ thoughts and actions. This field plays a crucial role in challenging ethnocentric biases and enriching our understanding of the human experience. The abstract highlights the convergence of these two fields, emphasizing how they mutually enrich one another. Community psychology benefits from the insights of cross-cultural psychology by recognizing the importance of cultural context in community dynamics and interventions. Cross-cultural psychology gains depth by integrating the community perspective, recognizing that culture is not solely an individual attribute, but a collective phenomenon shaped by the communities in which people reside. Through collaborative research, interventions, and advocacy efforts, these fields contribute to building more inclusive and equitable societies. By acknowledging the importance of community and cultural influences on psychological well-being, researchers and practitioners can better address societal challenges, bridge gaps in mental health care, and create interventions that are sensitive to the diverse needs of individuals from various backgrounds. In conclusion, the synergy between community psychology and cross-cultural psychology holds great potential for advancing our understanding of human behavior and well-being within the contexts of communities and cultural diversity. This abstract encourages continued exploration and integration of these fields to create meaningful impact and positive change in diverse societies around the world.
