The goal of this study is to find out how green product quality, green hotel image, green customer satisfaction, and green customer loyalty are interconnected. Customers staying in green hotels in Trabzon make up the population of the study. The survey approach was utilized to collect the data used in the study. The convenience sampling method was utilized in the study, and 304 people were contacted. Prior to arriving at the hospitality facility, approximately two‑thirds of the participants did not know whether the facility was an environmentally‑friendly hotel. Green product quality, green customer satisfaction, and green customer loyalty are all positively related, according to the findings. Furthermore, there is a relationship among green corporate image, green customer satisfaction, and green customer loyalty. Finally, enhancing green consumer satisfaction increases green customer loyalty.

Museum architecture has recently become important as a trend in mass tourism and for this reason, the most renowned architects on the international scene are called upon to design new museum projects and to remodel historical ones. The implications on urban planning, the connection with the city in which it is located, its population and political and economic strategies are the keys to understanding the dynamic role of the museum and its importance in the current tourism model. In addition to raising these reflections on the current role of museum architecture, the accent of this study focuses on a biblio‑ graphic review of the Guggenheim Bilbao as a paradigm of mass cultural tourism, to later analyze the consequences it has had on the various attempts to replicate this tourist and cultural model in some cities in northern Spain. The particular case of each of the examples studied helps us to understand the common origin of their success or failure: the importance of a solid and sustainable museum project. With all this, and based on the reflections of O’Doherty in his work “Inside the white cube”, it is intended to provide a critical perspective on the issues raised.

The relationship between cinema and literature is permanent from film’s beginnings, with film adaptations stealing fire from great works. This paper analyses the relationship between film and tourism, focusing on the role of Brazilian literature’s influences in this context. Storytelling as a tool and the relevance of “travel with a purpose” are additional subjects discussed in relation to this type of tourism. This is an exploratory study that uses textual analysis (word clouds and similarity analysis). The textual corpus is formed by the synopsis of films based on Brazilian literature (n=25). The results show new clues for the understanding of a promising market niche in audiovisual tourism in Brazil: Literary Film Tourism (LCT in Brazilian).

The objective of this research was to contribute toward the community tourism of the Ag‑ roparque Los Soches (APS) in Bogotá, Colombia through a participatory diagnosis. For this, the qualitative‑ ‑descriptive‑interpretive case study was used as a research method. The data of the study was collected, mainly, through an interview relating to the tourist value chain of the destination. As a result, the current state of community tourism in Agroparque Los Soches was obtained, as well as the identification of its problems, the construct of participation in action strategies, as well as their prioritisation. By way of main conclusions, it was observed how, through participatory diagnosis, the community became involved and took responsibility for the APS problems, and strengthened their collective management organisation by turning these needs into a pertinent action strategy, which allowed them to improve in the community tourism sector

"In the tourist planning of a destination, it is common to consider technical items and physical characteristics of the territory, however, the influence of social items, which have a central role in the development of the activity, is little appreciated. Therefore, the objective of this document is to distinguish the values and subjective meanings of the members of the rural community of San Francisco Oxtotilpan, Mexico, to establish their influence in the conformation of the alternative tourism products they offer. The research is qualitative, based on the social construction of reality by Berger and Luckmann. The in‑depth interview was used as a research technique and the Lalive model was applied to interpret the results. An ethos called “Indigenous Peasant” was identified, whose profile is subdivided into two aspects: a “traditional” one, characterized by inflexible conservatism and attachment to traditions, and a “renewed” one, open to the new and proud of your culture; the latter is the manager of the construction of tourist products in the place."

The link between commerce and tourism is widely known, given the need for shops and services for the development of the activity and due to the consideration of commercial streets as recreational tourist attractions. Thus, this article set out to analyze public‑private coordination in the implementation of the Centros Comerciales a Cielo Abierto program in the city of Mar del Plata (Argentina), taking into account the resources put into play by each actor, in what is considered a governance process. It is a qualitative study, which has an interpretative approach, while taking into account the point of view of the actors involved from the use of semi‑structured inter‑ views; this information was collated and complemented with that from secondary sources. Regarding the results of the case, implementation could be achieved due to a favorable local context of government support, available financial resources, and a structure of fluid relationships between the intervening actors. The change in munici‑ pal management, as well as the lack of confidence on the part of merchants about the impact of the program, are factors that have influenced its discontinuity.

This work presents new practices that can be followed in health and wellness tourism destinations, with a greater focus on promoting human wellbeing, based on the strategy presented for the Caldas da Cavaca Thermal Spa Resort in Portugal. In this study, the methodology used was based on empirical data collection. Four techniques were used, namely a benchmarking strategy, complemented by questionnaires to managers of thermal spas, and a questionnaire survey aimed at the clients and managers of Caldas da Cavaca. In this strategy, a set of 40 strategic actions were defined. These actions are in line with the policies and strategies defined by public decision‑making international, national, regional and local organizations. In this sense, with regard to the promotion of quality of life and wellbeing, it is possible to highlight 14 measures that strengthen this orientation. Caldas da Cavaca should position itself as an innovative, attractive thermal wellness destination that invites a healthy lifestyle, in a calm and peaceful environment in interaction with nature

Tourism as a field of disciplinary study has theoretical propositions and epistemological knowl‑ edge capable of elevating it to the status of a science. Various researchers have carried out analyses that show the fragility of tourism as a possible science, and postulate theories that contribute to the advance‑ ment of studies in the area. Thus, this article is aimed at building a line of analysis, focusing on the empiri‑ cal repetition of theories and concepts that portray tourism as a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary area of study. In addition to the importance of overcoming paradigmatic issues towards an epistemological consolidation. Methodologically, it his theoretical and exploratory, using bibliographic and electronic research to chart the maturing of tourism studies and to reflect the intrinsic complexity of the area. In the end, it appears that different fields of knowledge may interact at different levels of complexity under a multi‑inter‑trans disciplinary perspective in tourism. However, there is a need for an overall philosophy in order to produce cohesion toward forming an independent science.

The geological‑paleontological heritage of a region represents a component on which tourist activ‑ ity can be based. The objective of this study is to show how the policies created at all levels of government directly or indirectly affect the sustainable development of tourist activity in natural protected areas (ANP) with paleontological heritage. The area under analysis in this case is the Dinosaur Park contained within the Geological Park Sanagasta (PGS), La Rioja, Argentina, ANP with tourism based on paleontological findings. By way of method, we used analytical, critical review of policies devoted to conservation, protection, and subsequent tourism development around these sites. Some of the main results are: norms lacking regulation for stakeholder participation to be operational for tourism in conservation units. It is believed necessary to achieve shared management (public‑private community‑State) in pursuit of adequate tourism management.
