Purpose . The study's general purpose was to identify the extent of leadership and management practices at Indonesia’s Islamic Boarding Schools ( pesantren ) in ensuring the sustainability of education and school management. In particular, the study aimed to investigate the leadership practice patterns of an Islamic Boarding School in the East Java Province of Indonesia and examine teachers' roles in the administration of the institution. Methodology. The study used a quantitative research design supported by cross-sectional statistical procedures and processes with an experimental approach to test variables, by investigating the relationship and testing the hypotheses. A theoretical model was designed for this purpose. Findings . Findings suggest that though pesantren leadership practices are acceptable in policy, social support, and financial dimensions but they still lack structural and teaching aspects. Statistically, there was an indication that pesantren leadership positively and significantly influence the relationship between teachers, school facilities, system, and student achievement. The study recommends that pesantren leaders should be given more opportunities of training in administration and governance. The government should also assist pesantren by providing technical facilities to ensure a consistent student achievement. Implications to Research and Practice. This study succeeds in reiterating that pesantren as Islamic boarding schools have a unique management system, which has produced top religious leaders different from the secular school system. This study has revealed that principals or leaders in these pesantren have no authority to decide on school policies. It is hoped that this study will draw the attention of the officials and authorities to provide facilities and empowerment to ensure the sustainability of these boarding schools.

Purpose: In this paper, researcher describe how the educational innovations and creativity affects the efficiency and performance of the Universities in South Africa in their bid to cope with challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic since the beginning of the 2020 academic year. Method: The researcher used the cross-sectional research design. The data was collected through a survey with the help of a well-developed questionnaire. Respondents were the employees of university of Johannesburg South Africa selected through a simple random sampling technique. A framework of hypotheses was prepared to establish the relationships between the variables Creativity, Efficiency, Performance and Innovation. SEM-PLS was used for the analysis of data. Findings: We conclude by examining how these educational innovations creativity have been able the assist the Universities in mitigating the adverse effects of what could have resulted in the loss of a significant part of the 2020 academic year. Educational creativity and innovation significantly improve the Universities' performance by enhancing the efficiency of the employees. Implications for Research and Practice: It is recommended that the foundation laid through these innovations should be built upon in the future to provide a platform for new normal' in teaching and learning in South African Universities particularly as the Higher Educational Institutions are being enabled to accommodate the disruptions in teaching and learning process due to any troublesome situation. Purpose : Interpersonal skills and critical thinking are criteria for the success in the accounting profession, which requires both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to think critically when practicing this profession. This study aimed to determine the differences in students' critical thinking skills using the Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) model and the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model Method: The study used quantitative methods through an experimental approach. A pretest and a posttest were used to collect the data. The respondents were 10 accountancy major students, who were divided into control and experimental groups.

Purpose : It is premised in this study that quality of education is largely determined by the quality of teachers, which further depends upon their continuous professional development. This study aimed to determine the effect of professional development, innovative work and work commitment on quality of teacher learning among elementary school teachers in Indonesia. Method The research sample comprised of 100 teachers of elementary schools sampled with the help of the Slovin formula. Structured questionnaires were used to collect data. Data analysis was carried out by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS tool. Both measurement and structural models were calculated to understand the relationships between the variables of the study. Findings: The results of this study indicate that professional development had a significant positive effect on teachers' work commitment, and that work commitment affects the quality of teacher learning. It was further found that innovative work also affected the quality of learning. Implications for Research and Practice: It has been asserted in this study that professional development of teacher by improving work commitment and innovative work improved the quality of education and produced competitive quality human resources. This shows teachers and educational institutions can plan their strategies by taking the benefit of these findings. By making use of innovation, teachers can devise various learning models to help students achieve their learning goals.

Purpose: Metacognitive awareness plays an important role in assisting students to solve problems because it affects their reasoning in assessing their thinking results. This research aims to investigate students’ metacognitive awareness failures about solving absolute value problems in Mathematics Education. Methodology : It is qualitative research with 38 subjects of the fifth-semester students of Mathematics Education at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The materials included designing a Metacognitive Awareness Scale, a math assignment sheet related to the absolute value problem and a semi- structured interview sheet. Findings : It was found that there was a significant failure, and 3 students were sampled from who had experienced different metacognitive awareness failures in solving absolute value problems. The study also proved students’ inability to be aware of mistakes in determining problems, algebraic process, and their inability to know that what they carried out was wrong. Implications for Research and Practice : This research has implications for teachers, lecturers, and students to utilize the findings of the study in understanding students’ metacognitive awareness failures in solving mathematical problems, especially in working on absolute value problems. This is also a reference for teachers on how to teach absolute value problems so that students do not experience metacognitive awareness failure when solving problems.
