The aim of the study is to demonstrate the potential influence of the prefix 'пред-' on the realization of deverbal nouns with this prefix in texts from specific functional spheres presented in the Russian National Corpus. The paper analyzed deverbal nouns with the prefix 'пред-' and unprefixed deverbatives across 9 functional spheres of the Russian National Corpus (ecclesiastical-theological sphere, everyday life, literary sphere, business official sphere, journalism, educational-scientific sphere, industrial-technical sphere, advertising, electronic communication). The data obtained allowed the researcher to identify the significance of the prefix 'пред-' in the functioning of units with the prefix and differences in their realization compared to unprefixed deverbal nouns. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the first-ever analysis of deverbal nouns with the prefix 'пред-' across the functional spheres of the Russian National Corpus. The work describes the characteristics of deverbatives with 'пред-' in these functional spheres and identifies the potential influence of the prefix 'пред-' on the functioning of deverbal nouns with the prefix. The results of the study indicated that among deverbatives with the prefix 'пред-', the most frequent functional spheres are mainly the ecclesiastical-theological one, the industrial-technical one (compared to unprefixed deverbal nouns), and the educational-scientific one, leading to the conclusion about the influence of the prefix 'пред-' on the functioning of the analyzed deverbatives.

The study aims to identify the universal and specific parameters of the emotional persuasive strategy in the English-language publishing hypertext functioning within the framework of advertising discourse. The paper examines persuasive tactics and different-level linguistic means of their implementation employed in English-language reviews and summaries of literary texts as specific instances of hypertext practices in publishing discourse. Additionally, a comparative analysis of commercial advertising texts and publishing hypertexts is presented, which helps to determine similarities and differences in the verbalization of the emotional persuasive strategy. The study is novel in that it is the first to identify the tactics of the emotional persuasive strategy in the publishing hypertext based on the English language and to systematize linguistic means implementing these tactics. As a result of the study, it was found that in the process of verbalizing the emotional persuasive strategy in the English-language publishing hypertext, the choice of linguistic means depends on the specific tactic being implemented. It was also determined that the implementation of the emotional persuasive strategy is complex, involving the parallel use of several tactics appealing to the emotional state of the subject.

The aim of the research is to identify the linguosemiotic characteristics of the discourse of the French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, transmitting elements of his linguistic personality, through the lens of the scholar’s contribution to French language culture. The scientific novelty of the research lies in constructing a cognitive-communicative model for describing discourse and in introducing the term “discourse sharing” into scientific use of language theory to refine the conceptual apparatus and achieve a clearer semantic structuring of the terminological system of onomasiology, language theory, and communication theory. An important aspect of the research is the discovery of correlations between interdiscourse transfer and transcultural modeling of meta-psychoanalytic knowledge, in other words, between linguistic and conceptual analysis of discourse within the interpretative-semiological approach. The obtained data make it possible to identify a number of important mechanisms of linguosemiotic influence on individual thinking, necessary for adequate communication as a subtype of discourse sharing linked to the activation of the dynamics of linguosemiotic and linguocultural data development, in the process of creating new meta-discourse axiology both in theory and in practice not only in the linguosemiotics of psychoanalysis but also in general linguistics.

The paper analyzes the specificity of the image of a medical nurse in Ivan Shmelyov’s story “Blood Sin”. The research aims to identify the peculiarities of the functioning of this image within the artistic system of the story. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that by examining the characteristics of the medical nurse’s image, contextual interconnections with “The Lord’s Summer”, “Fear” and through a detailed study of its symbolic significance, the paper presents the first-ever interpretation of the philosophical uniqueness of “Blood Sin”. As a result, several findings were made: firstly, the narrative and narrating role of the main heroine, who serves not only as a part of the plot development but also as the narrator, is identified. Secondly, the significant semantic and narrative role played by the images directly associated with the medical nurse’s image (trains as symbols of the departing Russia, the sound of bells as a detail recurring in many of the writer’s works, and revolutionary hard laborers representing the future of a “new” country) is determined. Thirdly, the paper reflects the contrast between the romanticization of the revolution and its actual results, which are not embraced by the story’s main heroine. Based on this, the dynamics of development of the image are revealed. Lastly, the autobiographical nature of the medical nurse’s image is demonstrated, in which Ivan Shmelyov sees himself.

The aim of the research is to identify quantitative regularities in the functioning of morphosyntactic parameters in the texts by users of hidden online communities. Through statistical methods, the paper attempts to confirm the “cohesion” of the main morphosyntactic features, the information about which was obtained using the Profiling-UD linguistic processor. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the following: based on a corpus of Russian-language social media texts, an experiment is conducted on the correlation analysis of morphosyntactic characteristics, which could become part of the future linguistic profile of hidden communities. Such profiles could be used in modern social media to enhance the functionality of recommendation systems. As a result, the research found that significant positive correlations with moderate statistical significance were identified for over 55% of hidden communities. By applying the proposed methodology, the linguistic profile of hidden communities can be further expanded with syntactic and lexical parameters, allowing for cluster analysis of communities and identification of the homogeneity/heterogeneity of the use of the characteristics across different linguistic levels in user posts from hidden communities.

The research aims to identify the established norm of using peripheral punctuation marks in epistolary texts and to evaluate the functioning of peripheral punctuation in the letters by semiliterate authors relative to this norm. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the first-ever examination of the functions of peripheral punctuation marks in the context of the private official letters written by semiliterate authors. Additionally, the notion of a fixed function was introduced for the first time as a tool necessary for investigating whether peripheral punctuation marks are used in accordance with the norm established within a specific textual genre. The research findings showed that the use of peripheral punctuation in the letters by semiliterate authors may deviate from the generally accepted punctuation norm in the epistolary genre. It was found that norm violations primarily occur in the use of spatial-graphic signs, such as paragraph breaks, text column changes, increased line spacing and spacing between words. As a result of the study on the functioning of peripheral marks in the letters by semiliterate individuals, the following features of peripheral punctuation were also identified: the interchangeability and universalization of punctuation marks, as well as the standardization of their functions.

The aim of this analytical review is to systematize scientific knowledge on the issue of the stylistic use of inverted word order in domestic English studies. The author discusses the fundamentals of the theory of emphatic inversion, which were laid down by prominent Soviet linguists, authors of scientific works on the stylistics of the English language. The review also systematizes scientific data on the problem of emphatic inversion over the past 20 years, taking into account modern scientific paradigms (cognitive-discursive and pragmalinguistic), which constitute the scientific novelty of the paper. In addition, the novelty of the research is determined by the creation of a classification of emphatic inversion based on the material of the narrative sentence, allowing for the generalization of accumulated experience. The work also is the first to describe the features of using emphatic inversion in various types of discourse, distinguishing between general and specific functions of emphatic inversion. Special attention is paid to shedding light on the expressive nature of emphatic inversion and considering the role of emphatic word order in altering the conventional communicative direction of the utterance. The research findings showed a partial change in scientific terminology, as well as the predominantly emotional-expressive, pragmatic nature of this phenomenon.

The research aims to determine the psychologically relevant content of the value ANSTÄNDIGKEIT (DECENCY) in German linguoculture. The complexity in defining the content of this value primarily lies in its ambivalence. The research is novel in that it identifies factors indicating the transformation of the value and develops a methodology for determining the transformation of the value. The data obtained from lexicographical sources and an associative experiment are verified using the method of subjective scaling, ranking, and clarifying survey. As a result, it has been proven that the surveyed respondents do not perceive ANSTÄNDIGKEIT (DECENCY) as a value that should determine their behavior in society. Respondents equate decency with politeness and good behavior but do not associate the studied value with refraining from low acts and with honesty. The results indicate the lack of formation of the ANSTÄNDIGKEIT (DECENCY) value for the surveyed respondents.

The aim of the study is to identify the nature of the MUSIC concept representation and the differences in its structure in the linguistic consciousness and the linguistic worldview of modern youth representatives belonging to different professional groups. The paper considers the associative field of MUSIC, obtained during an associative psycholinguistic experiment, as a result of explication of the concept in the linguistic worldview of students from the philology, mathematics faculties, the faculty of music and the faculty of physical education. The scientific novelty lies in finding a correlation between the structure of the concept, its representation in the linguistic worldview and the professional affiliation of the informants. As a result, the general structure of the concept has been revealed, with its nucleus consisting of the subfields “Terminology”, “Musical instruments”, “Person” and “Perception of music”. Differences in representation in the linguistic worldview reflecting the linguistic consciousness of the respondents have been noted: a detailed system of fields and connections among students of the philology faculty, the anthropocentric nature of the field structure among students of the faculty of music, the perception of music as a specific kind of human activity among students of the mathematics faculty and students of the faculty of physical education.

The aim of the study is to identify the main lexical and syntactic units used in protest slogans in French. The paper sheds light on the notions of “protest”, “protest communication”, “a protest slogan”, determines the lexical composition of the French protest discourse, on the basis of which thematic groups, the most frequent lexical and syntactic units are identified and the features of their use are considered. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in revealing the lexico-semantic content of protest slogans based on the material of the French language, determining the features of using the most frequent lexical and syntactic units in the French protest discourse. As a result of the work, it was found that the French protest tradition has a rich linguistic expression (759 lexical and syntactic units). This made it possible to identify the following thematic groups: yellow vests protests; anti-COVID measures; pension and the pension reform; resignation; values; a call for protests; unity; France; violence; violation of rights; anger; money; work; life; death; global problems. The following units were the most frequent: Macron (98), non (49), pour (45), retraite (41), peuple (29), liberté(s) (27), France (23).
