This paper examines the processes of word-formation in English on the Internet. More specifically, the present paper provides an overview of newly formed words in the context of Internet communication, their categorisation, coupled with analysis and discussion with a view to determining which (if any) word formation processes have been employed in the process of their creation. The paper attempts to capture the current trends of the English language used in popular areas of Internet interactions. The theoretical preliminaries have been divided into two distinct parts - the first half which presents general notions related to internet communication while in the second one the theory behind word-formation processes is presented in order to enable its application to the corpus originating from Internet data used in this study. As for the corpus and methodology in the study, the selected terms and expressions were extracted from various online sources (forum posts, chat logs or game screenshots) and analysed in order to determine which word-formation process they belong to. Hence the sections on abbreviations and acronyms, clips, conversions, compounds and blends, as the most productive word formation processes observed in the study. The study also looks at the popular notions of blog and tweet, as well as a particular focus on leetspeak which deals with words falling into this category but are formed via many different processes. The final section of the paper provides a summary of the findings and a conclusion to the inquiry into the nature of word-formation on the internet.

In June 2023, the Federal Government of Germany presented the first national security strategy (NSS). The NSS promotes Integrated Security as a new foreign and security policy. However, research has shown that the idea of Integrated Security is not new and that the integration of all resources of national power has been a goal for Germany for 30 years. Research has purpose to give an answer to following questions: Can the current organization of the German national security system support the idea of Integrated Security as a new security policy and what are the key requirements related to the organization, functioning and management of the German national security system that should be fulfilled so that Integrated Security can be implemented? The basic hypothesis of this research is that the national security system of Germany is not organized and governed in a way that can enable the implementation of Integrated Security, primarily because, on the strategic level, Germany does not have a national security council which could serve as a focal point and impetus for integration, coordination and government of a security system. In order to provide answers to the above stated questions in the first part of paper we explained Integrated Security and the national security objectives of the NSS, then we described organization of the three ministries and security services as the most important actors in the implementation of the NSS objectives at the operational level and at the end we did the capability analysis of the strategic level of management to implement Integrated Security. The research showed that the organizational solutions have not been aligned with the determinations stated in the NSS. The result of this research are proposed solutions for organization and position of the Federal Security Council which should be provided with competencies that will enable the integration of elements from all levels into a single structure which aims to achieve the national security objectives.

The paper discusses the influence of musical components on the openness of the form on the example of the String Quartet no. 8 op. 110 by Dmitri Shostakovich. Different collaborations and interweaving of musical components create various solutions for both the macro and micro structure of a work. This kind of cooperation will be analyzed in this paper on the example of the analysis of the work String Quartet No. 8 op. 110 by Dmitri Shostakovich. This quartet mostly belongs to the field of tonality. Without losing sight of the integrity of the musical flow, the analysis of individual components is carried out with the aim of indicating how they are activated and participate in the construction of the musical flow. The analysis is focused, first of all, on one of the most significant means of expression of this work - the thematic content. The reason for this is certainly its leading role, of course in cooperation with other components and musical plans, in the education of the openness of the form of this musical work. The focus of attention are also compositional techniques and the way Dmitri Shostakovich uses them in this string quartet, as well as quotes from composers such as J. S. Bach, P. I. Tchaikovsky and autoquotes of his own compositions from different periods of his creation. It was concluded that by passing other composer’s material through his own stylistic prism, Shostakovich builds a specific sonority, moving airy harmony and chordal texture into the dark, ghostly realm of Shostakovich. The method of analysis and synthesis was used in the paper.

This paper explores the importance of tourist expenditure in the context of organizing music festivals. Music festivals have become crucial elements of cultural and tourist experiences worldwide, attracting a large number of visitors from different parts of the globe. This paper analyzes the impact of tourist spending on the economy and local communities, with a specific focus on the organization of music events. A particular emphasis is placed on the organizational aspects of music events, from the meticulous planning and execution to the intricate interdependence with economic variables. By zeroing in on the organizational intricacies, we aim to uncover the holistic impact of music festivals on both the local and global stage. This exploration extends beyond the mere numerical evaluation of economic contributions; it encompasses the indirect effects on local businesses, the socio-cultural dynamics of communities, and the long-term sustainability of these cultural celebrations. In essence, this topic aspires to provide a comprehensive understanding of how the synergy between tourist expenditure and the organization of music festivals shapes not only the economic landscape but also the intricate tapestry of local communities. It is important to know the transformative potential of music festivals, offering insights that extend beyond the realm of entertainment to inform strategic decisions for organizers, policy makers and stakeholders. The economic impact of music festivals goes beyond the revenue generated by ticket sales. Tourist expenditure injects funds directly into the local economy, benefiting various sectors. Accommodation establishments thrive during festival periods, local vendors experience heightened sales, and transportation services witness increased demand. Additionally, festivals may stimulate the creation of temporary employment opportunities, fostering a short-term economic boost. However, to maximize the positive impact, organizers and local authorities must strategically plan for the influx of visitors.

In this study, we explored the potential of Support Vector Machine (SVM) method for classifying levels of cognitive stress using EEG (Electroencephalogram) signals. The goal is to develop accurate models that would enable the prediction and understanding of not only the current mental state of the subjects, but also potential real-time interventions. In medical fields, the application can be seen in the treatment of attention, focus, hyperactivity, autism, and depression disorders. Additionally, there is an extremely high potential for application in areas such as psychology, sociology, education, economics, neuromarketing, security, and in enhancing workplace stress management, anxiety treatment, digital marketing, economicfinancial forensics, as well as improving user experience in virtual environments and video games. The results have shown that it is possible to differentiate high and low levels of cognitive stress with satisfactory accuracy, opening the way for the application of these findings in various fields. Cognitive stress represents one of the fundamental cognitive processes that causes individuals to behave and think differently in certain situations than in their usual state of consciousness. Predicting, analyzing, and understanding the level of cognitive stress from EEG signals is of great importance in various fields, including neuroscience, psychology, education, professional sports, human-computer interaction, and many other areas. Machine learning represents a subgroup of artificial intelligence that uses statistical models, and functions to ‘learn’ and ‘train’ data resulting in corresponding output values. The brain-computer interface, through which data on cognitive stress, among other parameters and psychological categories, is collected, is based on the functioning of EEG devices. The prediction of cognitive stress represents the application of machine learning, recording and using brain EEG signals or extracted characteristics from EEG signals as input values, in order to predict the level of output values of cognitive stress, of high or low degree, reflecting the mental state of the subjects in real time

Due to the increase in life expectancy and the decline in the birth rate, which has an impact on the increase in the proportion of the older population, there is a need to develop a rational pension strategy. This is a behavioral economic analysis of voluntary pension funds in the Western Balkans. The main goal of the research is to determine whether fund users behave according to the well-known Richard Thaler model or have a specific pattern of behavior. According to Thaler’s model, people make financial decisions with limited rationality. They are impatient and short-sighted, which is why they focus on the present rather than the future. Younger employees mainly opt for actions that give them immediate gratification rather than planning for the future. More money flows into pension funds when people are approaching retirement, not when they are in their best working and financial position. Another peculiarity of the Western Balkans is that they have gone through a long period of transition, a period of instability, and that long-term savings were not on the agenda for the average family. The paper is based on a hypothesis that should determine whether users of voluntary pension funds in Western Balkans countries (Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro) increase a portion of their salary savings as they approach the retirement period. Analysing the content of the statistical reports collected in the pension funds was used as a method of data collection. A regression analysis was performed to examine the established model. Model creation and calculations were performed in IBM Amos 25 and SPSS 25. A significance level was set to α=0.05 (Hair et al., 2019). The results for Serbia, showed significant values for all three R coefficients. R square values were taken into account. Based on the results, the predictor variable (number of users by age) has significantly explained the variability of “amounts of accumulated funds by age” in all three countries of the Western Balkans. The fund users in all three countries behave similarly, paying significantly higher amounts into the fund after the age of forty. Beneficiaries aged between 20 and 39, members of a very productive labour cohort, pay lower, often symbolic amounts into the pension funds. We are talking about relatively young funds in their infancy, which are unstable or insufficiently stable. A more stable and efficient structure can be observed in the case of Serbian voluntary pension funds.

In the paper, the authors discuss the tendencies of development and improvement of legal guarantees of international and national regulations of individual countries and definitions of the term national minority and ethnic groups. We start from the hypothesis that international and national legal rules are well established, with the aim of improvement, but in practical application at the local level, the provisions of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of National Minorities, which represents the first comprehensive regional international agreement and legally binding international instrument, are bypassed or omitted, dedicated to the protection of national minorities. The definition of new and special rights and freedoms of man and citizen, that is, the scope and application of human rights and freedoms can be classified into different groups. The work will deal with the analysis of the rights and freedoms of ethnic groups and national minorities, the rights and freedoms of foreigners and stateless persons, the position of law in the field of governance, the constitutional duties of man and citizen in accordance with the criteria of the mutual relationship between the individual, that is, the citizen and the state. Researching the right to education, freedom of scientific and artistic creation represents freedom of thought as one of the spiritual freedoms. The Constitution of the Republic of Serbia guarantees the freedom of scientific and artistic creativity, the publication of scientific and artistic works, guarantees moral and material rights to authors, and more. The essential part of the analysis refers to the research and strict application of the rights of members of national minorities, that is, the detailed elaboration and respect of minority rights, the prohibition of discrimination of national minorities, equality in the management of public affairs, the prohibition of forced assimilation, the right to preserve uniqueness and develop the spirit of tolerance, as well as the right to association and cooperation with compatriots. The Framework Convention of the Council of Europe on the Protection of National Minorities - represents the first comprehensive regional international agreement and the first legally binding international instrument, which is entirely dedicated to the protection of national minorities.

The definition of new and special rights and freedoms of man and citizen, that is, the scope and application of human rights and freedoms can be classified into different groups. The work will deal with the analysis of the rights and freedoms of ethnic groups and national minorities, the rights and freedoms of foreigners and stateless persons, the position of law in the field of governance, the constitutional duties of man and citizen in accordance with the criteria of the mutual relationship between the individual, that is, the citizen and the state. Researching the right to education, freedom of scientific and artistic creation represents freedom of thought as one of the spiritual freedoms. The Constitution of the Republic of Serbia guarantees the freedom of scientific and artistic creativity, the publication of scientific and artistic works, guarantees moral and material rights to authors, and more. The essential part of the analysis refers to the research and strict application of the rights of members of national minorities, that is, the detailed elaboration and respect of minority rights, the prohibition of discrimination of national minorities, equality in the management of public affairs, the prohibition of forced assimilation, the right to preserve uniqueness and develop the spirit of tolerance, as well as the right to association and cooperation with compatriots. The Framework Convention of the Council of Europe on the Protection of National Minorities - represents the first comprehensive regional international agreement and the first legally binding international instrument, which is entirely dedicated to the protection of national minorities.","PeriodicalId":508513,"journal":{"name":"SCIENCE International Journal","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140243117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The class, as a community of students of the same chronological age, can be organized or chaotic, thus encouraging or hindering the development of students as individuals. Discipline and achievement as well as a positive attitude toward school, have a strong relationship, just as there is a relationship between establishing discipline and teacher stress levels and job satisfaction. Creating a stimulating climate for learning through various teacher approaches to facilitate the learning process, maintain a pleasant atmosphere, prevent inappropriate behaviour, and maintain discipline is united by the term classroom management. Given that the teacher is an irreplaceable link in the system of upbringing and education, it is necessary to direct him to recognise effective interactions for the achievement of educational goals through various segments of professional training. The quality of the teacher-student interaction affects, indirectly, the individual characteristics of the student, his behaviour, academic success, and attitude toward education in general. The aim of this paper and research is to examine the relationship between empathy, burnout at work, competencies, and personal characteristics on the one hand and classroom management styles that dominate teachers on the other hand. The research was conducted in 2019 on a sample of 300 teachers employed in elementary schools. Of all the examined variables, the most significant predictors were empathy, learning and teaching competencies, communication and cooperation competencies, and emotional exhaustion.

An indispensable tool for enhancing economic growth and protecting the environment is eco-innovation, which integrates innovation and sustainable development. By utilizing innovation to address social, economic, and environmental issues, eco-innovation is essential to achieving sustainable development goals. One significant strategy for addressing environmental issues and promoting economic expansion is eco-innovation. Optimizing resource use and promoting efficiency across various sectors, eco-innovation holds significant importance in modern conditions. Eco-innovation represents a proactive approach and leads to positive environmental outcomes. The performance of eco-innovation is a key determinant of its effectiveness in achieving sustainable development goals. Undoubtedly, the European Union’s (EU) policy plan of the past few decades strongly emphasizes eco-innovation. Through initiatives such as the Eco-Innovation Scoreboard, which provides a comprehensive evaluation of eco-innovation performances across EU member states, the EU has been at the forefront of fostering eco-innovation. Eco-Innovation Scoreboards consist of indicators designed to measure various aspects of eco-innovation, used to assess the overall eco-innovation performance of EU member states and to track progress over time. This study examines the average value of eco-innovation performances across EU member states using data from the Eco-innovation Scoreboard. It also presents a comparative analysis of eco-innovation performances across EU member states over two different periods, 2013-2017 and 2018-2022, using indicators including eco-innovation input, eco-innovation activities, eco-innovation output, resource efficiency outcomes, and socio-economic outcomes. Cluster analysis groups EU member states based on their eco-innovation performances, allowing for a comparative assessment of different clusters. The examination evaluates the effectiveness of EU member states in combining innovative practices with sustainable development by focusing on cluster outcomes. The results of the analysis show dynamic changes in eco-innovation performance among EU countries, indicating migration between clusters over time. The observed trends suggest an evolution of priorities and strategies in eco-innovation, which requires adaptive policy responses. Policymakers are advised to adopt flexible and adaptive strategies that take into account the changing performance landscape of eco-innovation and that capitalize on the strengths recognized within each cluster while overcoming identified weaknesses.
