Application of the Integration of Boppps Teaching Model and Ideological and Political Education in Preschool Hygiene Education 博普斯教学模式与思想政治教育在学前卫生教育中的融合应用

In the context of modern educational development, exploring effective teaching methods to cultivate preschool education talents with comprehensive qualities is particularly important. This study aims to explore the application and effects of integrating the BOPPPS teaching model with Ideological and Political Education in the teaching of preschool hygiene. Through a combination of literature review and empirical research, we adopted a teaching design that integrates the BOPPPS model with Ideological and Political Education and implemented a teaching experiment. After the course ended, the experimental group's final total scores and practical assessment scores were significantly better than the control group, and the scores for humanistic care were also significantly better than the control group, with differences being statistically significant. The questionnaire on the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education showed positive results. The results indicate that combining the BOPPPS teaching model with Ideological and Political Education helps improve students' academic performance and enhances teaching effectiveness. Its application in the teaching of preschool hygiene has proven feasible, providing an innovative teaching strategy for preschool hygiene education.

Analysis of Visual Elements of Cubism in Western Modernist Art 西方现代主义艺术中的立体主义视觉元素分析

This paper takes Cubism in Western modernist art as the research object, focusing on the analysis of its visual elements deconstruction and reconstruction of expression techniques. The research background is based on Cubism as an important school of modern art, its challenge and breakthrough to the traditional art concept laid the foundation for the development of modern art. At present, there is still a large space for discussion on the analysis of cubism visual elements and its enlightenment in the field of modern design. Through the analysis of the processing techniques and visual elements in Cubism works, we can see that the visual expressiveness in Cubism still has an important role in the contemporary art design creation.

Global Security Initiative and the Development of Contemporary International Law 全球安全倡议与当代国际法的发展

President Xi put forward the Global Security Initiative for the first time in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference in 2022. Echoing the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative coordinates the maintenance of traditional and non-traditional security, which is committed to building a new system of global security governance characterized by the nature of “soft law” in international law. Meanwhile, the Global Security Initiative has had a vital impact on the value behavior orientation and the development of basic principles of contemporary international law. In addition, international law plays a role in guaranteeing the Global Security Initiative, which is reflected in its help to resolve various risks in security governance, prevent and tackle disputes in global security governance, provide institutional guarantees to maintain national interests in the promotion of Global Security Initiative and improve international harmony.

Through reflecting on the case practice of an adolescent with intellectual disability, the article explores how social workers should use their professional skills to intervene in the behavioural deviation of adolescents with intellectual disability under the cognitive-behavioural therapy model. In designing and implementing services, the primary intervention goal of social workers is to help adolescents with intellectual disabilities to correct their misperceptions in personal behaviour, family relationships and social interactions, so as to enable them to have a correct understanding of themselves and to promote the healthy growth of adolescents with intellectual disabilities.

This proceeding includes original and peer-reviewed research papers from the 5th International Conference on Education, Sport and Psychological Studies (ESPS 2024) held on May 25-26, 2024 in Hong Kong, China. The aim of the conference is to provide an interactive platform for the academicians, R & D organizations, industries, innovators, entrepreneurs, government agencies and policy-makers etc., from both China and abroad to exchange ideas on recent researches and advances in the domain of Education, Sport and Psychological Studies with its prospective application in the various interdisciplinary domains of engineering. This two-day conference is being organized online in technical association with Research Center of Engineering and Science and will include invited keynote talks and oral paper presentations from both academia and industry to ignite our young minds, to initiate them in the field of meaningful research and thereby enrich their existing knowledge. By submitting a paper to ESPS 2024, the authors agreed to the review process and understood that papers undergo a peer-review process. Manuscripts were reviewed by appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the Conference Committee, who gave detailed comments and-if the submission was accepted the authors would submit a revised version that considered this feedback. All papers were reviewed using a double-blind review process: authors declared their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers did not know each other’s identities, nor did the authors receive information about who had reviewed their manuscript. The Committees of ESPS 2024 invested great efforts in reviewing the papers submitted to the conference and organizing the sessions to enable the participants to gain maximum benefit. Exploring Learner Engagement with English Debates: A Case Study of Chinese University Students 探索学习者参与英语辩论的情况:中国大学生案例研究

While many studies have examined students' participation in English debates with a focus on their development of English argumentation skills, second language (L2) learners' engagement with English debates has yet to be explored. Informed by a tripartite model on learner engagement, this study employed a case study involving four Chinese L2 learners to explore how they cognitively, behaviourally, and affectively engaged with English debates. Data was collected from multiple sources, including semi-structured interviews with students, notes taken in the debate classes, and class observations. Iterative analysis of the data revealed different patterns of learner engagement at all three dimensions among the four participants. It was also found that multiple factors, including their understanding of argumentation skills, self-evaluation of their language proficiency, their learning attitudes, and the instructor's teaching methods, played a role in their engagement with English debates. The findings suggest that teachers need to consider individual students' attitudes, beliefs, and L2 proficiency and provide explicit instruction on argumentation skills to enhance their engagement with English debate.

The development of western feminist literature is close to the development of western feminist movements and theories. With the aid of the theories of Simone de Beauvoir and Irigaray, the paper intends to explain Top Girls written by Caryl Churchill from the way of feminism. It explores the alienation and oppression of feminists themselves, and points out feminists fall into imitating patriarch pattern unconsciously. It manifests the characteristics of postmodern feminism of feminist literature.

A Comparison between the Western Understanding of Logos and the Asian Understanding of Dao 西方对 "道 "的理解与亚洲对 "道 "的理解的比较

The comparative study of Logos in the West and Dao in China has never stopped in academic circles. In a sense, Heraclitus' Logos and Laozi's Dao, which came into being in the same axial era, can be regarded as the starting point of Chinese and western philosophy respectively. They are similar in meaning, both of which are constant and contain Dialectic, But whether viewed from the perspective of ontology or epistemology, the differences between them are extremely obvious. This paper intends to make a comparison between Dao and Logos from the different aspects of Chinese and Western ontology, and point out the differences between them from the purpose and way of cognition, as well as the value orientation and development path in the process of cognition. With the gradual deepening of education digitalization in the field of education, smart education has become an important part of promoting Chinese path to modernization by piloting the reform and innovation of education informatization. In the new era, "people's character" has always been the most distinctive background of the Party and the country, and "people's stories" have a strong group bonding effect. Telling "people's stories" well is always the most important way to enhance the affinity and effectiveness of ideological and political education. Based on this, utilizing the digital characteristics of smart education, constructing a "People's Story" smart education platform for ideological and political micro courses that condenses empathy and consensus, softens conceptual conflicts, and integrates human care is a practical need to achieve intelligent extension and precise construction of ideological and political education.

The Identification Standard of “Serious Circumstances” in the Crime of Infringing Human Genetic Resources 侵犯人类遗传资源罪中 "情节严重 "的认定标准

As a condition for the crime of infringing human genetic resources, the “serious circumstances” are relatively vague in terms of concrete connotation and judgment criteria. In order to ensure the accuracy of judicial determination, it needs to be interpreted by legal hermeneutics. The “serious circumstances” in the crime of infringing human genetic resources should be located as “objective exceeding elements” in the criminal constitution system. The legal interests of the crime of infringing human genetic resources are “public health” and “security and administration order of public health”, and the bottom criterion of infringement of it is abstract danger. Based on this, “serious circumstances” should refer to the danger of illegal utilization of human genetic resources, and be specifically identified from both subjective and objective aspects.
