This study aimed to investigate student pianists' playing-related musculoskeletal disorder (PRMD) from the perspective of qualitative research. This study used a transcendental phenomenological approach to collect data through one-on-one interviews and focus group discussions. Four themes emerged in these data: experiencing memories of PRMD, pianist's self-awareness, social support, and deal with injury. The findings are highly relevant regarding self-awareness, social relationships, education, and healthcare and provide educators and healthcare personnel with an experienced way to understand the PRMD of student pianists. The results show that maintaining student pianists' playing careers and coping with PRMD requires joint efforts from multiple fields, including the pianists themselves to establish good self-awareness, social relations to provide support and help, higher education institutions to provide and strengthen health education, and health care personnel to develop tailored ways to deal with injury for pianists. The study suggests that more research in the future could focus on the experiences of musicians and the group of tertiary music students. The study also hopes that this kind of research can be paid attention to and valued by music education, health education, and medical care to develop suitable PRMD intervention and treatment strategies for different types of musicians.

Aesthetic education is an important content of moral education in colleges and universities. Scientific aesthetic education is an important way to improve students' humanistic accomplishment and comprehensive quality, and it is also a key link to cultivate outstanding talents. Integrating cultural self-confidence into aesthetic education in colleges and universities is conducive to giving full play to the educational function of China's excellent traditional culture, condensing the connotation of cultural education and enhancing the value function of aesthetic education. Colleges and universities should integrate and penetrate the concept of cultural self-confidence from the aspects of the construction of aesthetic education curriculum system, the organization of activities, the creation of aesthetic education atmosphere, and the evaluation mechanism of aesthetic education. Based on cultural self-confidence, colleges and universities should build a new ecology of aesthetic education for college students, balance aesthetic education and cultural education, make aesthetic education for college students deeply rooted in excellent cultural environment, strengthen their cultural self-confidence and comprehensively improve their quality level.

In order to implement the new era's military education policy, it is essential for military academy students to possess critical thinking skills to cope with the complex and ever-changing battlefield conditions. However, the cultivation of critical thinking skills is not only a common challenge faced by higher education but also a weakness in talent development within the College English course. It is challenging for instructors to address other qualities that "high-quality" talents should possess, especially critical thinking skills, innovative abilities, and independent problem-solving capabilities. This article primarily analyzes how to enhance and cultivate critical thinking skills among military academy students within the context of College English teaching. The article first emphasizes the importance of critical thinking skills for military academy students and provides an overview of domestic and international approaches to cultivate these skills. It also identifies the challenges faced in cultivating critical thinking skills at military academies and explores methods and approaches to foster critical thinking skills from the perspectives of instructors, students, and institutions.

The classic novel The Color Purple by black American author Alice Walker outlines the journey of Celie, a black woman in the Southern part of America in the early 20th century, as she grows up under the triple oppression of race, gender and class. Celie is abused by her stepfather and then forced to marry Mr. ____, a widower who already has four children, and lives in daily slave-like worry. However, with the help of other women, Celie gradually awakens from her numb and closed state, thinks about her gender and identity, and finally grows up to be an independent woman with individuality, dignity, and self-confidence. Therefore, based on the theory of androgyny, this paper analyzes in depth the development process of Celie's gender consciousness, revealing that her gender consciousness goes from clear boundaries to blurring, and finally achieves integration through self-awakening. In the novel, Celie experiences the questioning and redefinition of her own gender awareness, from the initial limitation of social expectations to the gradual escape from the traditional gender boundaries, and finally realizes the comprehensive awareness of gender. Through an in-depth analysis of the image of Celie and the evolution of her gender cognition in The Color Purple, the author hopes to better help readers understand the plurality of individual gender cognition, and to provide useful literary references for the promotion of gender harmony.

The present study attempts to explore the differences in nicotine dependence and delay discounting between traditional cigarette and e-cigarette users. According to the Competing Neurobehavioral Decision Systems Theory, this study will also discuss the characteristics of impulsive decisions exhibited by smokers with these two different tobacco products. Study 1 used the Fagerström Nicotine Dependence Test (FTND) to investigate the nicotine dependence levels of traditional and e-cigarette users respectively. Based on study 1, study 2 adopted the Delay Discounting Task (DDT) to compare the difference in delay discounting among the non-smoking group, traditional cigarette group and e-cigarette group, with unrelated variables such as demography variables (gender, age, education) and nicotine dependence level controlled. The results showed that in Study 1, e-cigarette users had significantly higher nicotine dependence than traditional cigarette users. In Study 2, the degree of delay discounting between the traditional cigarette group and the e-cigarette group was significantly higher than that of the non-smoking group, while there was no significant difference in the degree of delay discounting between the traditional cigarette group and the e-cigarette group. The current findings suggest that e-cigarettes may exacerbate smokers' nicotine dependence. Traditional cigarette and e-cigarette users exhibit similar and significantly higher levels of delay discounting than the general population, indicating that the general connection between nicotine dependence and high levels of delay discounting is not influenced by different tobacco products.

Under the influence of Western painting, the development of oil painting art has further explored and studied modernist painting. At the same time, under the influence of Western modernist painting art, Chinese oil painting art has also shown a phenomenon of a hundred flowers blooming, such as the diversification of artistic styles and the diversification of painting language types, thereby creating the birth of various new painting schools. In the context of globalized art and culture, contemporary Chinese oil painting has also begun to go global. However, the development of contemporary Chinese oil painting is still criticized by the art of easel painting and photorealistic painting. Faced with the booming art market and the diversification of evaluation standards, how to understand the current situation and trends of contemporary oil painting art development is a question worthy of our in-depth research and reflection.

With the development of social media, it has become more and more a distinctive phenomenon for sports athletes to present themselves and spread sports culture through operating personal social media accounts. As the national sport of China, table tennis has long enjoyed widespread attention, and the athletes are also the focus of the public. In this regard, this paper selected eight Chinese table tennis athletes in different growth periods in a balanced manner according to the demographic approach. With the content and text analysis methods, the paper collects data and text from their social media accounts represented by Weibo, and analyzes the content and effects from aspects of sports communication, health communication, brand communication, social value communication and entertainment daily communication. After analyzing the current operation and exposed shortcomings of the personal social media of sports athletes represented by them, the paper puts forward three feasible suggestions: “build a good media image, convey positive energy actively,” “raise the awareness of media management, explore the possibilities of cross-border” and “enhance the ability of media operation, create differentiated personalities,” to contribute media power to the in-depth implementation of the "Healthy China" Initiative and the development of China's sports industry.
