In recent years, various studies have been developed regarding academic performance related to self-esteem, cognitive commitment, motivation, among others. However, there is still a limitation in works that analyze to what extent study habits function as mediating factors of academic performance in students. This work aimed to determine to what extent study habits explain academic performance in university students in northern Peru.

In this article, the methodological integration of the flipped classroom (FC) and problem-based learning (PBL) in the teaching of the hydrology course was developed. The research is applied with a quantitative, quasi-experimental approach. It was applied to a sample of 1846 Civil Engineering students over 10 years at universities in Cuba (UC), Peru (UP) and Mozambique (UM). The results showed that the best student satisfaction occurred at UP with 89.92%. It is concluded that the fusion of FC and PBL promotes lifelong learning that includes general and specific competencies.

The cultural bridge in the use of toothpastes with fluoride and xylitol in the reduction of Streptococcus mutans and the prevention of cavities is not clear. The antibacterial effect of pediatric toothpastes on Streptococcus mutans was compared. Each toothpaste was dissolved in different concentrations, and placed in Petri dishes with Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175 and observed at 24 and 48 hours. The results show that there is variability in sensitivity depending on the concentration and exposure time. The toothpaste that had the greatest inhibitory effect on Streptococcus mutans was the one that had fluoride and xylitol.

The objective is to analyze the effectiveness of public policies of citizen security services, in the categories of public policies and citizen security. The research is basic and qualitative, the design is phenomenological, an interview was applied, the sample is 10 workers and 30 from the population of Andahuaylas, to carry out an internal and external study. The results revealed that there is importance on the part of the municipality to address citizen security challenges with collaboration, exchange of knowledge, service channels and transparency portals were identified, however, there is a lack of knowledge of the population.

The contribution of information technologies in the teaching of higher education has not been synchronized, considering that the accelerated technological transformations left traces followed by pedagogical adaptations, the violent outbreak of COVI19 made this distance more evident, with traditional pedagogical systems; The objective is to identify the value of the teaching presence in the virtual auditorium by identifying the motivation and trust relationships of the students.

There is concern about the deficiency in reading in some students at the primary level in native communities and rural areas far from the city that are weak points in education, the main objective is to analyze the level of reading and comprehension of texts through self-regulated learning of students at the primary level. The research method is quantitative-descriptive. A virtual reading test was applied to measure the respective phases (anticipation, execution and self-reflection) and the level of learning in reading comprehension, and then a survey on self-regulated learning with its respective study dimensions was applied to 154 students of the sixth grade of primary education.

The preference for traditional or e-learning brought with it hybrid learning whose preference is much greater than the previous ones. The general objective is to analyze and describe the experiences of university students on traditional and electronic learning post covid-19, for which the methodology of quantitative descriptive and correlational type was used with a measurement instrument through an anonymous survey and on a voluntary basis with 1240 participants. The results have acceptable statistics and are demonstrated with the confirmatory factor analysis, showing the preference for hybrid learning. In conclusion, students request that universities implement this methodology in order to work properly and have a quality education in the future.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the effects of the "Educate without violence" program to reduce family violence and the development of healthy lifestyles in schoolchildren in rural areas of Huánuco, with an explanatory type, quasi-experimental design with before and after measurement. The sample was made up of 230 schoolchildren from Educational Institutions in six locations. The instruments were validated by experts with a reliability of 0.88; obtaining the following results. In the schoolchildren in the pre-test the average of 34.57 increased to 35.94 in the post-test, demonstrating that there are significant differences through the t of 1.51, with an intermediate effect size according to Cohen's d of 0.63 with 95% CI (0.31- 0.95). Likewise with families, the pre-test mean of 74.12 increased to 93.6, after applying the program in terms of information and change of attitudes about violence prevention and family roles.

The study aimed to determine the relationship of municipal management with the tourist resources of the province of Piura. A quantitative approach, a non-experimental and correlational design was applied, having 160 collaborators. The results threw through Spearman's Rho (RS) = 0.971 a relationship between both variables, indicating that as long as there is an efficient municipal management, optimal results will be achieved based on the dissemination and positioning of the tourist resources in the area. It was concluded that there is a very high and significant relationship between the variables under study.
