The Landscape of Digital Natives Research: A Bibliometric and Science Mapping Analysis 数字原生代研究的景观:文献计量学和科学制图分析

This article provides a panoramic view of the research undertaken so far in the field of digital natives to highlight important trends, examine the intellectual structure and provide recommendations for future research. The study uses 983 publications from the Scopus database to analyse the productivity, impact and research performance of nations, journals, authors and institutions using indicators such as impact factor, h-index and citation counts. This review study uses bibliometric and science mapping analysis to assess the most recent developments and trends in ‘digital native’ research. VOSviewer is used to conduct keyword network analysis, co-authorship analysis and reference co-citation analysis, followed by SciMAT analysis to provide an evolution map and a cluster of themes. The analysis identified key contributors to the field, high-impact papers and geographic areas where field research is concentrated. The main research gaps were then identified, indicating future research avenues. The findings of this study will provide fresh higher-level insights into the developing field of digital native research for educators, computing executives, business managers and research scholars. Such information would be useful in establishing digital native recruitment tactics by the respective industry. The research will also aid in the development of policies for digital natives.

Understanding the Impact of Occupational Stress on the Home Environment: Evidence from Oman 了解职业压力对家庭环境的影响:来自阿曼的证据

Women develop stress not only at work but also in their home environment, which leads to chaos in both places. This study not only examines the extent of occupational stress among primary school teachers but also identifies the most important antecedents of occupational stress and its impact on the home environment. A survey was conducted on primary school teachers from Al Batinah Governorate in Oman. A sample of 232 respondents was effectively drawn to analyse data using the SmartPLS-based structural equation modelling (SEM) technique. The job demand control support (JDCS) model was used to study occupational stress. A new variable home environment was included in the study to extend the JDCS model. The findings revealed some factors causing occupational stress and a significant positive relationship between occupational stress and the home environment. The study recommended the creation of a positive work environment, the development of appropriate educational policies, and the improvement of relationships with people in the workplace to ameliorate the stress affecting the home environment.

Construing the Relationship Between Entrepreneurial Adversity and Mental Well-being of Small Business Owners During COVID-19 Outbreak: The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Resilience 构建新冠肺炎疫情期间小企业主的创业困境与心理健康之间的关系:创业韧性的中介作用

The purpose of this study was to look at small business owners’ entrepreneurial resilience and mental well-being during adversity. This paper tries to gauge the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on an entrepreneur’s mental wellness and how being resilient in their approach to handling uncertainties mediates and positively envisages their mental wellness. The quantitative approach was utilized to collect data and achieve the specified goal. The information was gathered from 159 small business owners in Varanasi, India. The partial least squares method was used to analyze the collected data. Future research should look for more accurate ways to measure resilience as well as personal traits that could be used to further analyze the person–entrepreneurial context fit. In order to improve the generalizability of the study’s findings, researchers can also consider perceived adversity and resilience as mediating factors, in addition to the actual adversity and resilience assessed in this study.

Expressing Your Personality Through Apparels: Role of Fashion Involvement and Innovativeness in Purchase Intention 通过服装表达个性:时尚介入和创新在购买意愿中的作用

The study was conducted to identify the role of consumer personality in influencing fashion consumption; the study tries to establish a relationship between personality, fashion involvement, innovativeness, and purchase intention. Data were collected from 512 generation Z participants (born after 1997) and analysed using Structural Equation Modelling to demonstrate multivariate relationships using descriptive and causal research. The study concludes that a consumer’s personality positively correlates with fashion involvement. The present study strengthens the finding that apparel expresses an individual’s personality by stating that consumers’ personalities are positively associated with fashion innovativeness. Once personality leads to a positive association with fashion involvement and innovation, the latter two traits show a positive association with purchase intention. Among the innovativeness and involvement, the latter has a more influential role in shaping the customer’s purchase intention. The examination of the effect of consumer personality on fashion consumption-related variables, involvement, and innovativeness has contributed to a better understanding of the mechanism that underlies the operation of an individual purchasing a product.

Organizational politics and conflicts thrive at all levels of the organization. It is an unavoidable fact of working life. The present case discusses about Ashish had a lot of ambitions ever since he was employed with the organization. However, during the first three months of his engagement with the organization, something caused him to decide that he decided not to continue working there for another day. After completing his degree, Ashish was hired as a sous chef in a well-known hotel in Gwalior, India (M.P). Ashish was unable to carry out his responsibilities competently simply because he was not provided with an appropriate platform. His immediate boss does not provide him with an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities. The salary that had been promised had also not been delivered. Even the tasks that were assigned were not according to his capability. He was dissatisfied with the conditions of his work environment. He attempted to rectify the situation but was ultimately unsuccessful. Along with this, he also had heated disagreements with his immediate supervisor, Satish. The level of stress was soaring with each passing day. He became even more resentful as a result, and he began to consider quitting his job.

Health Technology Assessment of Telemedicine Interventions in Diabetes Management: Evidence from UAE 远程医疗干预糖尿病管理的健康技术评估:来自阿联酋的证据

Health Technology Assessment (HTA) has become an important prerequisite for funding and approval of technology across the globe. The objective of this study is to perform HTA for a different level of telemedicine (TM) intervention in the management of diabetes. The study performs HTA for three-level of TM interventions: in-person care, hybrid care and pure telecare. The study uses a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) tool, Analytic Hierarchy Process-Entropy (AHPE) for the evaluation of three levels of intervention on four criteria, namely, cost-effectiveness, clinical effectiveness, the safety of use and ease of use. The study uses a focus group containing 12 experts working in the United Arab Emirates. The results suggest that TM is yet to replace in-person care (0.52) as a preferred mode of care. The study indicates that hybrid care (0.31) is preferred over pure telecare (0.17). Out of the four criteria used for HTA, clinical effectiveness (0.49) was found most important followed by safety during use (0.37), cost-effectiveness (0.12) and ease of use (0.06). The study provides an approach for use of multi-criteria decision-making in HTA. It also advocates the phased approach of the adoption of remote care in healthcare. The study of this finding is useful for healthcare administrators and policymakers.

User Attitude Towards E-learning Platforms: An Insight Through the Expectation Confirmation Model and the Affordance Theory Lens 用户对电子学习平台的态度:从期望确认模型和可负担性理论视角看

The present study aimed to determine the manifesting variables of continually using e-learning platforms. The present study synthesizes the expectation–confirmation model (ECM) and affordance theory to explain better the continuance use of e-learning and the benefits users perceive after initial use. We have adjoined these two theoretical models for the following reasons, and to the best of our knowledge, no studies have combined ECM with affordance theory. The study followed a survey method, and a total of 466 respondents were contacted. The model was tested using the structural equation modelling technique through the Partial Least square method. The research study highlights a model with three layers of relationships with affordances triggering the expectations about the utility and usability of e-learning technologies. Furthermore, the findings of this study has indicated that all the proposed hypotheses are supported. Specifically, this study has reported that perceived usefulness is found to be a key variable that plays an essential role in determining the success of online learning platforms. Subsequently, the study offers a theoretical narrative for user satisfaction and loyalty toward e-learning platforms in light of the ECM and the Affordance Theory. The findings of this study offer critical insights for content creators and app designers on user experience design for e-learning apps that would eventually help to devise better teaching-learning strategies in technology-mediated learning environments.

The present study synthesizes the expectation–confirmation model (ECM) and affordance theory to explain better the continuance use of e-learning and the benefits users perceive after initial use. We have adjoined these two theoretical models for the following reasons, and to the best of our knowledge, no studies have combined ECM with affordance theory. The study followed a survey method, and a total of 466 respondents were contacted. The model was tested using the structural equation modelling technique through the Partial Least square method. The research study highlights a model with three layers of relationships with affordances triggering the expectations about the utility and usability of e-learning technologies. Furthermore, the findings of this study has indicated that all the proposed hypotheses are supported. Specifically, this study has reported that perceived usefulness is found to be a key variable that plays an essential role in determining the success of online learning platforms. Subsequently, the study offers a theoretical narrative for user satisfaction and loyalty toward e-learning platforms in light of the ECM and the Affordance Theory. Sustainability of Indian Microfinance Institutions: Analysis of Financial and Social Super Efficiency 印度小额信贷机构的可持续性:金融和社会超效率分析

Andhra Pradesh’s microfinance institution (MFI) crisis calls for establishing a balance between financial and social performance to ensure sustainability. The present study analyses the financial efficiency and social efficiency of Indian MFIs during 2015–2020, which is a crucial period, as during this period, Indian MFIs came across some significant changes such as permission to act as business correspondents, Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) scheme, demonetization and outbreak of COVID-19. Since the relative efficiency scores based upon specific set of inputs and outputs proclaim many MFIs to be fully efficient, super efficiency scores have been computed to discriminate their performance. The results reveal the setbacks to all MFIs during 2016–2017 and 2019–2020 as an immediate impact of demonetization and COVID-19, respectively. Super-efficiency estimates divulge that the fall in financial efficiency was greater than in social efficiency in both the years. Mann-Whitney test reveals significant differences between financial and social efficiency in terms of overall efficiency, however, no significant difference could be observed for managerial efficiency. The results are expected to be fruitful for MFIs striving to maintain a trade-off between the twin objectives as results endorse a positive rank correlation between financial and social efficiency.

Impact of Transformational and Authentic Leadership on Employee Creativity in Malaysian Higher Education Sector: Mediating Effect of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour 转型和真实领导对马来西亚高等教育部门员工创造力的影响:组织公民行为的中介效应

Although transformational and authentic leadership have received high attention in the earlier literature, it is hard to find a study that examined their effects on employee creativity and used organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) as a mediator between them, particularly in higher learning institutions’ context. Therefore, this research aims to contribute to the empirical literature by testing the impact of authentic leadership and transformational leadership on employee creativity and verifying the mediating effect of OCB on the association between them. This research adopted the quantitative approach in which a survey method was utilized for gathering the data from a sample of 243 staff in higher education institutions in Malaysia. During data analysis, the partial least square method was used for checking the reliability in addition to the validity of the research instrument and verify the proposed hypotheses. The outcomes confirmed that OCB has a positive effect on employee creativity. Additionally, the findings indicated that authentic and transformational leadership have positive effects on OCB and employee creativity. Finally, the results revealed that OCB fully mediates the association between the selected leadership types and employee creativity.
