Social media started as a group of platforms where the main goal was to socialize, post pictures, and videos, and update your current thoughts, feelings, and location. Over time, social media platforms have begun to expand the type of activities they offer. Thus, social media has become a new alternative for marketing activities provided by various companies. One of the latest online marketing techniques is called Influencer Marketing. This article presents the analysis of several specialized articles, as well as the results of research conducted in this field. It further highlights the current state of knowledge about influencer marketing, the role of influencers in social media, as well as possibilities for future research studies.

The paper approaches the application of the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) calculation method within an accounting services company. The method is among the modern methods used in the calculation of the cost which takes into consideration a more cautious distribution of resources based on the activities that lead to the achievement of an objective. The purpose of the study is the distribution of costs to the groups of significant services performed by the accounting company: bookkeeping services, general accounting services, and the preparation of financial statements and analysis. The ABC method starts from the organization of the company by processes and activities and from a less subjective allocation of overheads compared to the traditional method.

This paper aims to evaluate the socio-economic impact of video games on consumers, but also the implications they bring as a result of the interaction with this industry regarding the experience received in video games, but also the psychological effects that can be manifested in this industry. The aim of the research is to gather information regarding consumer motivation and consumer expectations and to critically analyze the possibilities to manage the experience offered and satisfaction received with video game consumption, taking into account side effects that may appear before, during, or after consumption.

The study examines the causal links between trade openness and FDI inflows in Sri Lanka from 1997 to 2019 using the ARDL test and Granger causality test. The results of the ARDL bound test indicate that an increase in trade openness does not affect FDI in the long run. However, short-run results indicated that an increase in trade openness attracts more FDI. The Granger causality test shows that Sri Lanka has a unidirectional causal relationship that runs from trade openness to FDI. The study suggests that the government should focus on long-term FDI target trade policies in order to improve the investment climate in Sri Lanka.

In Romania, rural cultural tourism has had and is expected to continue to have an extremely beneficial impact on the development of certain disadvantaged areas of the country, because it represents an economic driver, a means of capitalizing on resources, and of prompting local and territorial authorities. Thus, it provides medium and long-term contributions to the preservation and promotion of the most authentic and valuable aspects of the Romanian spirit. In what concerns the activities carried out in the rural area with respect to culture, the risk area has been extended during the sanitary crisis; however, the restrictions and the lockdown have been “useful” in increasing awareness of available resources, in planning actions in a more diligent manner and in broadening the vision of what should be done. In the context of the pandemic, all these aspects have become strengths. Post-pandemic tourism should be characterized by rediscovering itself, and the stake for rural cultural tourism in Romania should be the attraction of foreigners. This paper identifies and analyses the aforementioned strong points, which impact the so-called post-pandemic era.

Knowledge management (KM) is unquestionably one of the most promoted branches of scientific management. As the term itself suggests, this particular administrative model directs attention toward knowledge, understood as one of the most important resources within an organization. The main objectives of the current article are to discuss and analyze some of the most frequently proposed managerial means and methods of surpassing certain difficulties within military organizations from the region of Oltenia. The paper was conducted with the aim of evaluating the traditional techniques used to facilitate the implementation of KM within such organizations. The assessment was carried out based on the answers given to a specific questionnaire, which was addressed to the current or former workers of the military units within the counties of Dolj, Gorj, Olt, Vâlcea, and Mehedinți. The outcomes of the research suggest that one of the most efficient managerial techniques used in order to increase group cohesion and, thus, organizational productivity, is organizing teambuilding activities. Other managerial methods that a knowledge-based administrative model encourages are organizing constant informal group meetings or promoting post-factum analysis as a common manner of evaluating any experience. The conclusions revealed some quite strong connections established between the degree of success underlying a managerial model built on knowledge as the main resource and the proposed peculiar techniques used with the aim of improving the organizational goals and results.

The study aims to investigate the language use of English and German teachers in the school context. The teachers’ questionnaire has been conducted at minority primary schools and normal primary schools between 2019 and 2020. Quantitative data given by 28 teachers were analysed. German teachers working at minority schools used the target language more than teachers working at regular schools. English participants employed their mother tongue more than German respondents. German teachers used more translation than their English peers. Teachers working at minority schools used less translation than teachers working at normal schools. Most of the foreign language teachers made connections between the languages but only a few teachers exploited frequently the opportunity of prior language knowledge.

This paper zeros in on the use of effective teaching and learning strategies. Traditional forms of teaching are changing rapidly with the advancement of technology. Technological innovations have begun to play a more important role in language teaching and learning, changing the presentation and perception of educational material. Thanks to these trends, the teaching process is becoming more focused on the real needs of students. There are many qualitative methods of English language teaching, but it is important to use the ones that will act as a stimulus to students’ lateral thinking development, encourage their creativity and improve their learning ability. The utilization of constructive methods of knowledge acquirement and sharing encourages students to collaborate, i.e., they study English with pleasure and maximum comfort, and make good progress. The article also mentions the role of the teacher in the educational process, which can be successful only if she/he appropriately understands the students’ learning capacity and interests and utilizes a multimedia approach to teaching.

The research involved three Italian preschools, where children were considered as proper “researchers” about a new Programming Digital Storytelling (i-Code). Educational robotics was not considered as an interesting issue by itself, but it was managed as a tool that could support the construction of collective reasonings in small group discussions. The preschool children were involved into two research steps: (1) testing and evaluating the prototype of i- Code; (2) exploring and using the first complete version of the kit. The initial results show that: (a) children competently construct collective reasoning also concerning the world of robotics and the narrative co-construction can be enriched by i-Code; (b) the narrative coconstruction is much more effective when teachers play a modulation role inside the small groups.

Figurative expressions, such as idioms, are used orally and in writing in everyday language. An idiom is an expression used by itself or as a part of a sentence, and its meaning cannot be derived from the literal meaning of its constituents. Idioms can add an extra level of difficulty to the language learning process (either L1 or L2) because after understanding the literal meaning of each word, the learner has to make sense of the figurative meaning and how to use it correctly. From a pedagogical point of view, social media platforms appear to be influential with regard to learning literal and figurative meaning because they provide a context where this new language item is being used. This research investigates the role of social media platforms in figurative language learning. Different idioms are retrieved from social media platforms to show the effect of intercultural inclusion between speakers of different languages (English and Arabic). It is expected that watching a video containing figurative expressions or reading the comment section where an idiom is used can help the learners infer the meaning and know precisely how to use it and in what context. Moreover, new idioms are starting to be translated and borrowed to different languages due to L2 learners' exposure to this idiom in different contexts, which gives them an accurate depiction of it. The light is shed on the role of bilinguals and L2 learners who can work as an intercultural link between speakers of Arabic and English.
