The ongoing conflict in Watuhputih has escalated into a contentious and complex issue that continues to capture public attention. The debates have given rise to a fierce clash of ideas, concepts, and interpretations of laws, ultimately leading to numerous lawsuits. This study uses a qualitative research approach with Wehr and Bartos analysis to analyze conflict dynamics in the cement factory conflict case in Rembang, Central Java. The qualitative method used a case study. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews with sources from 20 informants and documentation from various mass media. The results of this study indicate that conflict dynamics are divided into pre-conflict, confrontation, and crisis. This study concludes that the conflict in Rembang has turned into an ideological conflict. Each group claims that the ideology understood the most correct between environmental sustainability, traditional and modern, capitalist. A dark history of conflict and prolonged dynamics causes ideological conflicts. The record of the conflict’s journey into a social movement in Rembang is a series of conflicts between the community and small-scale mining companies previously in conflict areas from the 90th year.

One of the methods gaining popularity in the context of teaching in recent years is flipped classroom instruction (FCI). The FCI encourages EFL learners to maximize their time away from class by using products of advanced technologies. Owing to this fact, the researchers conducted a study on the issue of Students’ writing performance and their attitudes about the use of technology. A mixed-method study was used to investigate students’ writing achievement and their attitudes to web-based instruction in the form of Flipped classroom instruction. Quantitative data was collected through survey questionnaires, while qualitative data was gained from interviews. The investigation on flipped classroom instruction was conducted at three State Islamic Universities in Indonesia. The questionnaires were distributed to EFL students at these three State Islamic universities to identify students’ experience in learning writing by using flipped classroom instruction. There were 198 students involved in this research. Also, twelve English lecturers from those three universities were interviewed. Findings suggested that most students had a positive attitude toward flipped classroom instruction. Although flipped classroom interaction does not guarantee the improvement of students’ writing performance, it is believed that flipped classroom instruction supports students to have a meaningful and effective learning experience.

Despite the government of Indonesia’s best efforts, several issues have arisen from the lack of policy integration on implementing comprehensive policies for appropriate peatland management. Criticism claims that many current policies put short-term financial gain ahead of long-term sustainability. This study looks at the dynamics resulting from Indonesia’s disjointed implementation of the country’s peatland policy. This research examines laws and regulations on policy concerns adopted in peatland management through a public policy and legal approach. The study’s conclusions highlight the contradictory state of Indonesia’s peatland policy, which is marked by shifts that highlight competing values—giving development and sustainability equal weight, for example. During the dry season, smoke, recurrent fires, and associated health issues are inevitable.

Every human wants his life to be prosperous because one’s welfare is the characteristic of happiness. Welfare is even a benchmark for the stability of a country. From the Islamic perspective, one way to achieve welfare is to pay zakat. This article describes the relationship of muzakki to increasing individual welfare. The method used in this research is quantitative. The population of this study was non-ASN muzakki, who were registered at the Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) of Tanjungpinang City as many as 200 muzakki. One hundred thirty-two (132) people were sampled; however, because the method used was purposive sampling, only 44 people were sampled and carried out randomly. The results showed an effect of zakat on the welfare of muzakki (r) of 0.660 percent. The regression line equation with a value of Y = 1.199 + 0.689X means that there is a positive influence between zakat and the welfare of muzakki of 0.689. If you want to improve welfare, muzakki must increase the quantity in zakat; the probability value shows a significant value of 0.019. The considerable value is 0.019 < 0.05, so H1 is accepted.

Madurese’s resistance to the development of tourism facilities is based on the socio-cultural conditions of the community, which is less open to modernization. This research describes the form of resistance and reflects on its relation to Madurese society’s social and historical conditions. This research uses qualitative data with interview methods, collecting news on the internet, and literature studies. Data collection in this research begins with reading news on the internet on Madurese's resistance related to modern facilities and modern tourism, then conducting interviews with informants to confirm data from the news. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely describing data, classifying, and interpreting data thematically to reveal the meaning of the resistance by the Madurese community against the development of tourism facilities. The findings of this study highlight at least three main things, namely the forced closure of non-Muslim entertainment venues due to dissatisfaction with the resulting value shifts. Second, the presence of powerful actors triggers resistance from the community. Third, Madurese people tend to make tourism based on Islamic Sharia as they believe in their daily lives.

This study analyzed the impact of smartphone addiction on learning outcomes between males and females on learning outcomes. Several studies have analyzed the effects of smartphone addiction on student learning effectiveness. However, there are a lot of gaps in these studies, such as the selected sample, in which all the respondents are assumed to belong to a gender group. In this work, we categorize each respondent, based on gender, into male and female. 500 students from public and private universities in Indonesia participated in this study. The independent-sample t-test, linear correlation, and regression analysis determined the result. It was found that smartphone addiction had a significant negative correlation with learning outcomes in male students and no significant correlation in female students. Male students’ smartphone addiction had a higher effect on learning outcomes than females, with a percentage of 33.7%. This study contributes to improving the gender perspective on learning issues.

The importance of parental involvement in every student's school life has been well-documented in various studies. However, empirical data in the field show that some parents of students with disabilities in Yogyakarta did not fully participate in it. This study aimed to describe the role of parents of students with disabilities in implementing the post-school transition. This study employed qualitative method and used interviews as data collection. The participants in this study were six parents of students with disabilities.
